Edo Tokyo Hostel in Tokyo

It’s been such a great time, I wish I’d booked it again for my return to Tokyo (for a return flight)!

PROS.

The manager and the staff are all so friendly, and the manager makes conversation and is incredibly helpful! He recommended some cities to explore sometime, and was very accommodating when there was uncertainty with a friend’s arrival.

The location is cute, there’s a nearby konbini and then a little shopping street! And the station is only around 10 minutes away. There’s a cute park to walk through close as well, and at night, my friend and I chances upon a neighborhood performance or mini festival.

It is a small shared space, but for a budget hostel, it’s awesome. I had quite a bit of space, and was very comfortable. Showers are 100 yen, and laundry is 200 yen! It’s all very clean!

CONS.

Only con is that it’s a little further out from the main areas, so maybe a little inconvenient. I would say it’s still worth it for its low price and service! You can take a trip to Kamakura station too with 1 train and it’s around 1100 yen one way. If you walk a little to the bridge, you can see a nice view of the city beyond water, which is quite nice at sunset!

This place is absolutely perfect if you like meeting new people, clean facilities and a comfortable bed. It might be too small for some people but it is an amazing spot so close to the station, good food all around and the manager Makoto is one of the best people I have ever met, this place is absolutely wonderful I wouldn’t recommend staying anywhere but here if your in Tokyo

Hostel is basic but clean and has good showers! The 5 star review is mostly for the manager Makoto who is super friendly and accommodating. I needed a Japanese phone number to get my camera repaired and he helped me out a lot by taking the call for me and talking to the service center 💪🙏

Had a wonderful stay at this hostel. Facilities wise, you get what you pay for. Prepare 100 yen for the shower and laundry/dryer. They have a common area of sorts where I got to work and meet other guests and that was definitely a fun experience.

As for the staff, I found them to be kind and friendly. Hayato-san was very helpful and kind to me. The hostel also has this small TV room where you can relax. The bed was soft and comfortable. And the hostel is near to a supermarket where you can buy cheap water and bento. There is also a shopping street nearby with so many restaurants. It's a bit far from the Shin Koiwa station, around 12 to 15 min walk. But hey, you can get some exercise. Overall it's a nice place and I had a good stay. Would come back.

It was great yes a bit cramped and yea a dollar per shower and load of laundry may take some getting used to. But still I have absolutely no regrets about going their if you get the shared house, or mixed dormatory it's the same, you get to meet other foreigners and some friendly locals too. While here I met a lovely South Korean, 2 polish guys, 2 more people from the states, 2 nice women from Barcelona and Spain I think, 2 very friendly english speaking locals, and many more while traveling around. I have nothing but good things to say about this place. For those of you I just mentioned that know me it's me Noah. Hi Eric and Jake and Hans and I'm so very sorry I remember how to say your name but cant spell it (The lady from South Korea. Good luck with transferring by the way!). And if your all still not sure I'll add that last photo.

Close to the market place and Shin-koiwa station. Several eating places and a Sushi place just opposite. Friendly and helpful people
