Comfortable to go other place. It'sclose to bus express and shinjuku station
Location is good, and all these rooms are very clean, they will clean everyday after 11am. Fair price for the hotel
Good location old capsule hotel. What annoyed me is the following. You need to check out every single day. You cannot leave anything in your capsule so you have to move everything twice every day. Let’s say you want to go to your room; you meed to do the following. Wait for elevator. There is probably a line so you have to wait for the second elevator. Then take off your shoes in a 1sq meter place...
I had a very pleasant experience overall. The capsule bed was clean and comfortable, and essentials such as towels, toothbrushes, earplugs, and pyjamas were provided. I also found the designated areas for suitcases and other personal belongings in the capsule room very practical. The only downside for me was the luggage storage situation. During the booking process, it was stated that luggage storage...
This is my go-to capsule hotel whenever I’m in Shinjuku. However, if you are conscious of cleanliness and looking for a hostel to stay, this is not right for you, as you need to check out by midday per their policy. Cleanliness isn't their thing, but the location is almost perfect at an affordable price. You can book breakfast, but it's from a different location, so it’s kinda a hassle. Overall, affordability...
I had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Associa. The location is extremely convenient, especially for travelers using JR trains — direct access to or very close to the station made moving around effortless, even with luggage.

In terms of a hostels this sucks, so it’s important to say this hostel’s main function is to be a public bath house. The capsule on the upper Floors are plastic boxes that heat up instantly once you close the curtains so that you have to sleep with your heat to the curtains for some fresh air. The most annoying part tho is that half the toilets start leaking if they get flushed twice within half an...
sauna is very cool. Also because it is a authentic japanese hostel.
Good location , near to uno and shopping market , clean .
good hotel near ueno station, lively night life around the hotel
I accidentally booked one day less than I needed, so I urgently booked this place. To my surprise, it was actually pretty good, just a bit too crowded.
Easy to get there, just a train directly from the airport to Ueno station and walk about 5 mins. Really good hostel!

Hotel prices have been really high lately, so even though I wasn't thrilled about it, I booked a capsule hotel with a guaranteed spot on the first floor this time. It was only a few stops from Shinjuku and very close to the station, which sealed the deal. True to its name, it's a women-only hotel, which made me feel very safe. What truly impressed me were the amenities: free alcohol, free late-night...
I heard that starting March 4, 2026, it will become women-only. It's a shame that men won't be able to stay here anymore, but next time I visit, I'll definitely check out the Shinjuku branch. I've stayed at four of their locations in Tokyo, and the Ogikubo branch, just like the others, was impeccably clean.
The lockers were spacious, the bath was nice, and the bathroom amenities were also very easy to use. They had ramen and curry for breakfast and dinner, which was nice. The popcorn was also good with the alcohol. However, it was hot inside the capsule.
I already dream of coming back here. I don’t think you could get any more a positive experience from a capsule hotel. This will be my home base in future Tokyo trips!
Anshin Oyado Ogikubo is a well-equipped capsule hotel with complete men’s amenities — no need to bring your own. The location is slightly out of the city, about a few stations away from Shinjuku, and around 45 minutes to other major attractions. However, Ogikubo itself is a charming small town worth exploring — quiet, clean, and perfect for relaxation. Conveniently located just a 5-minute walk from...
Very clean and nice service. Free alcohol and breakfast were good.

The place was well-maintained and the cafe/bar had a great atmosphere.
The owner and staff are all very friendly, and the atmosphere is great! The bedding and sheets were also very clean, clearly well-washed. Downstairs, it seems like many locals come for lunch or to the cafe. The area is quiet, and there are convenience stores nearby (three of them!). There's also a church close by, though I didn't confirm if actual services are held there (as I'm not Christian). The...
It was stylish, clean, and overall very comfortable. The room was also well-maintained, allowing me to relax and feel at ease. The location is also great, and I was personally very happy to be able to see the Skytree just a short walk away, and I enjoyed taking a walk there. I think it's a great place for sightseeing as well. I felt it was very good value for money, and I'd definitely stay here again...
Loved this hostel! Super sociable and also very clean! Staff were also all very lovely :) Thanks
Sensoji Temple was within walking distance, which was nice, and evening strolls along the river provided a nice view of Skytree, making for a pleasant stroll. However, despite its location in front of Kuramae Station, it's a bit far from major tourist attractions, which was a bit disappointing. Also, because it's a guesthouse, I had to make my own duvet cover, which was a bit disappointing. However...
Excellent hostel, I stayed here for my last two days in Tokyo. I booked a private room, which was quiet and comfortable. The bedding was clean (you make your own bed), and the duvet was warm and fluffy. I'd say the room size is ideal for one person at most. Even though the bathroom was shared on the floor, it was right opposite my room, there were never any queues, and it was always spotless. The...

The place was very good for solo travellers and also family. You can meet with many people from different counties. The staff was very cheerful and helpful. I will definitely suggest the hotel to my family and friends. I will definitely book again in the future if i am traveling in tokyo again.
Good loction and specialy lobby i like it. Staff was really nice
Extremely close to Senso-ji Temple, with convenient access to supermarkets, restaurants, and shopping malls within the Asakusa commercial district. The hostel has a great vibe, mostly occupied by Westerners. You can cook your own meals, and the quad room was quite spacious. At 600 yuan, it offers excellent value for money. Very nice, great area and super nice environment with a bar downstairs. Would recommend
The hostel has a clean and smelless bathroom. Humidifier placing in the room helps a lot to create a comfortable environment. The most important thing is that the Japanese workers there can speak fluent English, which is completely the opposite outside of the hostel. They recommended me to amazing affordable local Japanese restaurants as well👍🏻
Not only is it conveniently located near the station, but the amenities were all stylish and well-maintained by MARKS AND WEB?, and the facilities were very clean. I visited in winter, and I highly recommend the package that includes breakfast. Even though there's a convenience store just a block away, it's too cold in the morning. Being able to enjoy a freshly prepared Western breakfast without having to go out was great, and the staff's English was excellent.
The room was a bit small, and there wasn't a good place to put luggage. The soundproofing was also quite poor; I could clearly hear people talking in the common area at night, though I know that's primarily their issue. Overall, it was okay.
Absolutely loved this hostel. The way the beds are arranged mean that nobody is next to you, which led to better privacy. The common spaces were clean and well used by guests and the staff were amazing. One of the better hostels I have stayed at in my time. The showers are small, but that’s comparative for bathrooms in Japan.
The front desk staff were super friendly and nice! The price was quite affordable, and it was easy to find. In a multi-person dorm, snoring is pretty much inevitable, but with earplugs, it was fine, and I slept pretty well.
This is my third time staying at Imano Hostel. The front desk staff are very friendly, and most importantly, the location is incredibly convenient. It's right next to Shinjuku-sanchome in Tokyo, making it super easy to get anywhere in the city. The rooms are basic hostel style, but for this price in Tokyo, especially given the location, it's pretty good. The washrooms are convenient, and the shower...

Would definitely come again when next time visiting Tokyo!!
Very nice location, easy to access by metro, quiet and clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
I stayed here for 7 nights during peak sakura season, March 30-April 6, 2026. I am very satisfied with my stay and would recommend this place to travellers, especially to solo travellers. I like the wide range of check-in and check-out times.
It's easily accessible, within 10 minutes of both Koenji and Shin-Koenji Station (the closer one). Once you've checked in, you can leave whenever you like (there's no need to check out), which is convenient. I felt the bathroom could do with being a little cleaner. One thing that bothered me was the bed, which had a slight smell. I'm not sure if the sheets were changed properly. My head hit the...
Although it's small, the price is very affordable, and the beds are very comfortable, making it a good choice for people on a budget. 🙏🏻
Good location not that far from the center and pretty close to the night life district, the room was cute, beautifully decorated. The staircase is really narrow so if you have a big suitcase it can become a problem.
One of the best hostel experience I had! The owner of the hostel, Yoshi also owns the punk themed bar on the ground floor. His hospitality and friendliness was incomparable and definitely memorable! Really enjoyed my stay there. Walking distance to train station, local market, local food and shopping street, and also just a few station away from Shinjuku station. I visited tokyo just to watch concert and decided to stay here because it is located in the middle between the concert venue and Haneda airport. This place is easy to reach by train/metro. It was a capsule hotel, so a regular hotel would have been better!
This is an artificial bath that uses hot spring travertine from the Futamata Radium Hot Spring in Oshamanbe, Hokkaido, so I went there just to enjoy the artificial hot spring without using the sauna. The sauna and spa are on the first basement floor. I was worried that it would be humid because it's underground, but the changing room was dry and not uncomfortable at all. It's a great environment where...
Women can also stay in the hotel, and the large bathroom is for men only. The hotel has excellent facilities and is located close to the station. The large public baths feature Futamata radium hot springs, Hokkaido's hidden hot spring, as well as a sauna and...
Both the sauna and the cold bath are old-fashioned and very comfortable in a good way. I personally want a sauna between low and high temperatures. Also, since part of it is completely visible from the elevator, it may be dangerous if a woman pushes a button and comes by mistake. The restaurant is reasonably priced and delicious, so it's worth a try. If you want, I want you to add more menus. The...

Probably the best hostel I’ve ever stayed in. The location is great and very well connected to all the spots I wanted to go to. This is the 3rd &Hostel chain that I’d stay after Minamisenju & Kuramae. Location wise this Akihabara branch just located 300m away from Yodobashi Akiba & JR Akihabara. Everything was perfect. On the hostel floor they even got 7 toilets available with the maximum occupancy around 20pax. Luxury 😁
Great stay, I like the front desk staff just how friendly and caring they were. The room could be cleaner, the bed could be less squeaky just coz it made sound even when you put something lite on it. The lounge area was great tho and very nice for socializing and meeting new people.
The double room was very spacious, and luggage storage was super convenient. The front desk staff were also incredibly warm and helpful. I'd definitely want to stay here again next time.

Excellent, especially the bar staff who were very patient. Thumbs up!
What is provided is almost bare minimum. It’s alright considering the price range. No issue with the capsule, just a bit of a problem with the restroom.
Pros: the location is amazing, in the heart of Shinjuku, clean, beautiful, silence to rest. Cons: staff is not very flexible. I had to organise my bag outside of the hostel (at the street) on the check-out. I had left the room already and asked if could seat at the coffee area just to finish packing for 10 min. It's good that there are capsules for women only. It's an older facility and there are various restrictions, but since accommodation costs are rising, I think it's good for a room-only stay. It was nice that there was a bath, sauna, and laundry available.
Very convenient, I'd like to come back when I visit Fukuoka.
A very good hotel, convenient for travel, good service, and high cost performance. Good quality and low price, recommended for traveling to Tokyo.
The space is relatively small and there is a sense of oppression. Maybe this is what capsule hotels are like. Don't expect too much!
If you have large luggage, you need to use a coin locker. There are many rules for check-in. The hotel is relatively strict in its management. The beds are clean. There are many restaurants around. It is quite convenient.
The large bathhouse and sauna were very comfortable. The location is very close to the JR Yamanote Line station. Excellent geographical location. The only downside is that the capsule is a bit hot inside.

The slippers weren't cleaned, and many pairs smelled a bit, so I recommend bringing your own. Hair dryers were a bit hard to find, and they were shared, not one per room. Everything else was fine; the rooms and bathrooms were clean, the neighborhood was quiet, and there was no light at night.
Calling it an old folk house sounds nice, but it is indeed an old building. There were only two other guests, myself and one other person, so it was very quiet and comfortable. very comfortable bedroom with view on the riverside. pristine-clean showers. quiet. living is not for the claustrophobic - I couldn’t use it as ceiling was incredibly low.
My best stay when I was in Tokyo. Central to everything. Super close to the station. Friendly staff and great size for a capsule hotel room. I stayed here last year. How I wish I could go there again this year but covid outbreak says otherwise. I hope I can go back as soon as possible.
The hospitality is very friendly, the best location to stay in Tokyo, and to join BBQ parties on the rooftop with a fantastic river view 😍
Hostel is not that big as other hipster hostels in Tokyo. It makes it much more cosy and you are actually able to chat with other people and the owner. Common space is so nice, that we could stay there all mornings. And views are amazing, especially from the rooftop where you can relax. The owner is very helpful even after you check out. I'm happy with the hostel. Everything seems to be cleaned daily and is accordingly clean, and you can leave your luggage before check-in. It's super quick to get to Shinjuku and Shibuya (less than 10 minutes). Unfortunately, there are only two showers, and you have to buy towels.

Location is excellent. amenities are good. My friend and and I had our separate 'unit' made of two capsule beds. I came home to a guy sleeping in my bed and the hotel handled it well and gave us compensation.
The location and environment are great, but since it was listed as a "single room" when I booked, I tried messaging to inquire if it was for me alone, but only received automated replies.
