Fukuoka, 2 Chome-2-3 Jigyohama, Chuo, 810-8650 Fukuoka, Prefektura Fukuoka, Yaponiya (5 km from centre) 🧭 Map
The surroundings are beautiful, and the hotel is just a few minutes' walk from the beach. It's also not far from Fukuoka Tower.
When I booked, Trip.com recommended this hotel as the number one in Fukuoka for food, so I didn't hesitate to book it. However, when it came to breakfast, I was truly disappointed and felt quite let down: ① The coffee was the worst I've had in any hotel in Japan. ② There was a lack of substantial dishes; only one salmon dish could be considered so, but it tasted really bad. ③ Almost all the dishes...
Excellent service. Amazing view overseeing coastline and Fukuoka Tower. Distance from city centre but highly recommended if drive.
If you're attending a concert at PayPay Dome, honestly, don't bother staying anywhere else! The walkway shown in picture five leads directly to gate 7 in just five minutes. There's also a FamilyMart right next door – a lifesaver in winter! Seriously, while others are lining up for transport, I'm already checking in! I had enough time to drop off my stuff, relax, and then go for dinner when the crowds...
The environment and service here are top-notch, making for an excellent experience. It's a 20-minute walk to Fukuoka Tower and Seaside Momochi Park. Plus, there are direct bus routes from Hakata and Tenjin right to the hotel's doorstep. Definitely lives up to its reputation as the second-largest Hilton globally!
Overall, the hotel is excellent. It's an older property, so the facilities are a bit dated, but it's still very clean. The location is super convenient for shopping and going to the beach, and there's a bus stop right downstairs. Highly recommend.

APA Hotel & Resort Hakata Ekihigashi, Fukuoka1 / 8Good price
8.5
Fukuoka, 1-18-1 Hakataekihigashi (2 km from centre) 🧭 Map
This hotel is pretty standard for a cheap Japanese business hotel experience, so no complaints about the amenities, but they still use physical keys for the hotel rooms, and they ask that you leave the key with the front desk every time you leave the hotel which is pretty annoying.
Room: Small, but cheap and very clean. Not really enough sockets for the number of things you need to charge these days. Service: The hotel let me leave my suitcase with them both before and after check-in and check-out. They let me use their glue which I needed for something. A small thing, but appreciated. Slight minus - despite giving a Japanese address, they still asked for my residence card....
Very near to Hakata station, 10-15 mins walk away. Room was clean and had all the 'necessary' in room amenities.
Nice and clean. Rooms are small but it has everything. Very compact so it's good for one or two nights' short stay with minimal luggage.
Service was great, and room is clean, but the building and it's room definitely shows it's age.
Compared to a UK station it’s amazing. Compared to other Japanese stations such as Shin-Osaka it’s just very good. Great food options and as a station has great connections and friendly staff

Fukuoka, 1-2-82 Sumiyoshi (2 km from centre) 🧭 Map
This hotel is super convenient! It's just one subway stop away from both Hakata Station and Tenjin, and right next to Canal City Hakata. There's a Don Quijote about a ten-minute walk away, and a Family Mart right downstairs. The service at the hotel was excellent; someone helped me with my luggage as soon as I arrived. Breakfast was also good.
The location is incredibly convenient and just amazing! It's even walkable to the airport, though I still opted for a taxi. All the shopping, dining, and attractions are within a 20-minute walk.
The hotel's location is excellent, right next to Canal City, so you can go shopping as soon as you step out. The service is fantastic, and everyone is very friendly. The bathroom has great water pressure, making for a very enjoyable bath experience.
Hotel is nice and clean. Located inside canal city hakata, so you can get whatever u want and wont be bored. Access also convenient.
Lovely hotel in an excellent location. Very good service, would recommend for all stays in Fukuoka!
The hotel is located in the city center, about 4km from Fukuoka Airport by taxi, which cost around 2300 yen. The hotel isn't super new, but it's conveniently just one stop away from major shopping areas like Hakata and Tenjin. The only downside was the slightly small bed. Everything else was fine.

New Otani never disappoints 🫶. Definitely a little dated (there is a charm to it) but very well maintained and service was amazing!! Everyone is so courteous and thoughtful, always making sure we know they are here to help anytime. Room was on the larger side. A very comfortable stay. It is right outside the subway station too. With plenty of convenience stalls, also a straight walk to the shopping...
A very comfortable 5-star hotel! While the facilities are a bit dated, the environment is great, and the location is incredibly convenient. It's right in the heart of Fukuoka, making it easy to get anywhere. The hotel parking is also very convenient, which was a huge plus for us since we were driving.
I stayed here for the last two nights of my Kyushu trip. The room had a massage chair, which was a huge relief after a week of driving. The hotel is a bit older, but that wasn't a big issue for me. It's close to the subway, the rooms are spacious, and the service is great. Overall, it offers good value for money.
Very nice front desk ambassador Mr Siu and convenient
The staff are helpful. But we can’t check in till 3:30pm. The design is old but its supreme location can compensate.
Clean, quiet, and tidy. Very close to the subway station. There's a FamilyMart convenience store right outside, as well as another old-school grocery store. The room was cleaned daily (typical of an older 5-star hotel). The air conditioning/heating system worked very well. There was a Chinese-speaking staff member at the front desk.

HOTEL ATE DOWNNNN WORTH THE PRICE AND THERE WAS FREE AMENITIES ON THE FIRST FLOOR??? SLAY???
Room is a bit dusty, front desk staff a bit cold, otherwise location and the free beverages and snacks are just great !!
Nice hotel with good amenities and very convenient location but the room can be very small and the staff at the reception hardly speaks English and not as friendly as one will expect.
Nice to have welcome drinks and foods. Room size is just suitable. General breakfast like most hotels but it has some Fukuoka signature dishes. Of course it’s not like those signature restaurants but more like home-cooking taste.
The room is too small. There's no place to open up our luggages at all. Overall the room is very clean but the carpet & quilt were very old. The maruhati pillows were excellent.
Loved my stay here. Amenities include face and hair treatment for the women ❤️ There's coin laundry, vending machine and microwave oven. Welcome drinks and snacks available from 3 to 11pm. Location is a minute walk from Nakasu station.

Fukuoka, 1 Chome-2-20 Sumiyoshi, Hakata Ward (2 km from centre) 🧭 Map
Location: It's inside a shopping mall, quite small though. Hygiene: Similar to business hotels in Japan, pretty clean. However, the facilities are very old, and there's only one power outlet, which is super inconvenient.
Great location, but the hotel facilities are really old. It was scorching hot inside the room in March, and the AC wasn't working, so we had to open the window for air. Being right next to Canal City was incredibly noisy. The sound of the fountains went on late into the night.
Nice location of the hotel. 1700yen for parking over night. nice bar opposite of the hotel
I've stayed here dozens of times over the years. The location, accessibility, and value for money are the main reasons I keep coming back. While the standard rooms are indeed quite small, typical of Japan, and the hotel is a bit older, it's generally well-maintained. Overall, it's a good choice!
Great stay at Canal City Washington Hotel! Perfect location right next to Canal City Hakata with lots of food and shopping nearby, and walkable to Hakata Station. Room was clean, comfortable, and quiet—ideal for a solo traveler. Staff were friendly and check-in was smooth. Excellent value and very convenient. Would stay again!
This hotel does not have air conditioning. It is ideally located but very average. Not so clean for a Japanese hotel. For the sane price choose another hotel

Kind staff that understand me with even though I know 0 Japanese and coming from Canada the staff are really the best. They go way way beyond my expectations of what a hotel staff are supposed to do. The room was great and was prepared exactly as we asked for and the room service was also so fast and clean. The lobby as you enter the hotel was nothing but luxurious vibes with changing displays to make...
I have very mixed feelings about my stay. First off, the service was impeccable; the reception staff were incredibly friendly and professional. The hardware in the room was also practical—plenty of power outlets in good locations (better than Mitsui Garden) and a Smart TV with Netflix/YouTube. However, I had a terrifying experience during the night. The room lighting was very dim with limited controls...
I stayed at Hotel Nikko for a longer period during my trip at Fukuoka, and I thought it was very nice. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit. All the front desk staff I encountered were friendly, polite, and helpful. The hotel is very close to Hakata Station, only about a 3–5 minute walk. Ichiran Ramen is also nearby, which made it very convenient. I also tried the in-room massage service...
Room size and location were our main criteria. Very good for both. Very clean and well maintained hotel; but it is showing its age, esp the room/bathroom. Only one plug at each bed; no usb plugs anywhere. Bring an extension and/or plugs. Also, only two-prong plugs accepted; bring an adapter. The breakfast buffet was average. The famous Fukuoka-baguette wasn't to my liking ... so I cut out all the fillings...
Rooms are quite practical. Seems they've upgraded and renovated the room itself, as this hotel seems to have a history. All the staff are quite friendly, attentive, always smiling, well-groomed and mannered, always greeting guests, willing to assist. I'm amazed with the service level at this hotel. The hotel itself is quite close by to Hakata station and Amu plaza. Quite a lot of eateries and café...
It's not very cheap, and it's an old capsule. I think the large public bath is nice. I chose the Royal Capsule, but I didn't really understand what was so royal about it. You can't bring in food or drinks, it's a hassle to go out, and there are many other things that make it difficult to use.

The hotel is a 20-minute walk (1.6 km) from Hakata Station, or a 70 RMB taxi ride if you use Didi. Overall, it's quite convenient. The hotel itself is very new, and the staff offers smiling service. It's less than a 10-minute walk to the Tenjin shopping district and Tenjin Underground Mall. There's also a convenience store very close by.
Good location, near to Watanabedori station.
The hotel is conveniently located just a 5-minute walk from Watanabe-dori Station (Nanakuma Line), with easy access to both Hakata and Tenjin. The property is clean and well maintained, and the laundry facilities on the first floor are very practical. A FamilyMart right across the street adds extra convenience. Overall, great value for money and highly recommended.
The room was spacious and the location was great, just a ten-minute walk from Tenjin. What's more, it's very close to the subway station and has an elevator, which made moving my luggage around super easy! It was a bit of a splurge for one person, but it would be absolutely perfect for two.
Nice and clean room. Asked for more pillows. Ice machine on the first floor was nice. Breakfast offered very few food selections. Paper plate and plastic utensils was a bit turn off. Other than that, the hotel was very nice. (Eel restaurant next to the hotel was a bit pricey but really good)
Rooms are ok but the bathroom is very small. Wish to have more amenities. Location is convenient and walking distance to Tenjin shopping area

The hotel is conveniently located near Hakata Station, making transportation very easy. There are many shops nearby, which is great for shopping. The room was quiet, clean, and well-equipped. It's small, but perfect for a solo traveler.
The single room was spacious enough for one person and had everything you need. It also had a microwave and washing machines on some floors. The location was great, just behind the Central Station. The best part was that you could check in at 1pm and check out at 12pm which is better than almost every other hotel. Checkout was also a seamless process
Although the room was small, it was well-equipped, clean, and the breakfast was excellent. The best part is its great location, just a 3-minute walk to the station, which is incredibly convenient. The ginkgo trees outside are also beautiful.
Second time staying at this hotel and booked this again for my family trip this round! Really wonderful hospitality from the hotel staff and the 1pm check in timing was helpful for us to rest after a red eye flight. Hotel room is very clean and has all the basic necessities provided. Coin laundry and vending machines are available at alternate levels too.
I had a great stay at Hakata Green Hotel No. 1. The location was convenient, the room was comfortable, and the service was excellent. I was very satisfied with my experience and would happily stay here again.
I stayed at this hotel ten years ago and absolutely loved it! When I visited Fukuoka again, I chose it because of its excellent cleanliness, which I'm still very satisfied with. The surrounding area is also convenient for getting around, and it's close to the subway station. The hotel staffs are very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The room is spacious with fantastic views of the nearby canal. Highly recommended for a good stay in Fukuoka. Thanks!
The hotel is centrally located in the city centre. The facilities are a bit old though.
The room was very clean and had a nice view. The location is also excellent, with plenty of ramen shops, yakiniku restaurants, and supermarkets nearby, making it super convenient for food and drinks. The cherry blossoms downstairs were still blooming when we checked in, which was a beautiful sight.
The location is great, with several convenience stores nearby, making it easy to grab water and drinks for the hotel every day. It's also very close to the subway station. The hotel is a bit old but well-maintained, and the service is very warm. Breakfast is simple but meets expectations. It's a hotel with excellent value for money in Fukuoka.

This hotel was perfect for us! The style, cleanliness, facilities, and service were all excellent. We'll definitely come back if we get the chance. The transportation was also super convenient, and we explored many places.
The breakfast included fresh fruit juice and beef, which tasted great.
The room was spacious, but I really disliked the empty, dark, and oppressive decor. While there was plenty of space, all the furniture, including the flooring, felt very basic. There was a lot of room on either side of the bed, yet no bedside tables were provided, making it seem like the furniture wasn't placed to complement the space. The hot spring is good! Highly recommended!
A 7-minute walk from the subway station, the hotel breakfast is really good, and you can enjoy the hot spring on the rooftop. I always choose Mitsui hotels whenever I go to Japan. The only downside is that the rooms are still a bit small.
Great location with plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby. Easy walk to Hakata Station, making travel convenient. The staff were friendly and polite, enhancing the overall experience.
The room was just okay. The bathroom had a pretty strong odor, and I had to specifically ask for toiletries at the front desk. The bathhouse was closed from 9 AM to 3 PM, and you need to bring your own towel. I wasn't told at check-in that the room key wouldn't work for the hotel's bathhouse. Overall, not great value for money.
The location is super convenient! It's within walking distance of Gion Station on the Airport Line, Kushida Shrine Station on the Nanakuma Subway Line, Hakata Station, as well as Canal City Hakata, Kushida Shrine, and Nakasu Kawabata street. Everything is wonderful except the air-conditioning keeps warm in winter time. The staff helped us open the window so we can have normal room temperature.
Overall, everything was very good. However, the soundproofing in the room was quite poor, and I could clearly hear guests from nearby rooms.

Location is nearby restaurants and shopping. Although it is in the interesting redlight district
Hotel location good and Canal City in walking distance, but room cleaning is not provide every day, maybe there is a new rule in Japan hotel, even my second hotel in this trip also provide cleaning services on alternate day
The hotel is very minimalistic but the location is excellent. The public bath is also quite enjoyable. However for families, remember that Nakasu is a night club/karaoke area at night!
The location of the hotel is prefect just few mins walk to the station. The room is not too small when compared with other hotels in Japan. However the toilet is small and they only provide the room cleaning service once in five night stay.

A reputable hotel but too old amenities, run-down design and aircon isn't working well with consistent noises.
Although the hotel is a bit older, the service and hygiene standards still meet IHG's expectations. The location is excellent, less than a 10-minute walk from Hakata Station (exit 22), and it's all flat ground, so no issues with luggage. Hakata Station has Hankyu Department Store, and downstairs there are many restaurants, cafes, and bakeries.
The hotel is about a 10-minute walk from Hakata Station. The decor is over ten years old, but the service is excellent. The complimentary bottled water provided by the hotel is also good, and the breakfast selection is decent.
The room is tidy, clean and spacious enough to have 2 luggage opened wide. The location is pretty good. There are convenient stores nearby and most importantly, it’s very close to the jr station and the bus terminal. If you will go to places far away from hakata that requires travelling such as itoshima and yufuin, this hotel is definitely a good option.
The location is excellent, just a 10-minute walk from Hakata Station, making it super convenient for getting around. The surrounding area is great with plenty of amenities for dining and shopping. The hotel itself is very clean and tidy. The room, though small, had everything I needed. I didn't hear any noise during my stay.
This stay was absolutely perfect! The hotel ambiance is elegant and quiet, with no noise disturbances whatsoever. The room facilities are complete and very well-maintained, and the bathroom amenities are high quality. The staff are friendly and the housekeeping is prompt. It's very close to the attractions, making getting around super convenient. Definitely worth coming back!

The location is very convenient - only about a 8-minute walk from Hakata Station. The room is a bit small, but well-equipped. The bathroom and toilet are separate. The sink is outside. The front desk provided bath salts and skincare products. Overall, this hotel offers great value for money.
