Hilton Fukuoka Sea Hawk, Fukuoka1 / 30
8.9
Fukuoka, 2 Chome-2-3 Jigyohama, Chuo, 810-8650 Fukuoka, Prefektura Fukuoka, Yaponiya (5 km from centre) 🧭 Map
The surroundings are beautiful, and the hotel is just a few minutes' walk from the beach. It's also not far from Fukuoka Tower.
When I booked, Trip.com recommended this hotel as the number one in Fukuoka for food, so I didn't hesitate to book it. However, when it came to breakfast, I was truly disappointed and felt quite let down: ① The coffee was the worst I've had in any hotel in Japan. ② There was a lack of substantial dishes; only one salmon dish could be considered so, but it tasted really bad. ③ Almost all the dishes...
Excellent service. Amazing view overseeing coastline and Fukuoka Tower. Distance from city centre but highly recommended if drive.
If you're attending a concert at PayPay Dome, honestly, don't bother staying anywhere else! The walkway shown in picture five leads directly to gate 7 in just five minutes. There's also a FamilyMart right next door – a lifesaver in winter! Seriously, while others are lining up for transport, I'm already checking in! I had enough time to drop off my stuff, relax, and then go for dinner when the crowds...
The environment and service here are top-notch, making for an excellent experience. It's a 20-minute walk to Fukuoka Tower and Seaside Momochi Park. Plus, there are direct bus routes from Hakata and Tenjin right to the hotel's doorstep. Definitely lives up to its reputation as the second-largest Hilton globally!
Overall, the hotel is excellent. It's an older property, so the facilities are a bit dated, but it's still very clean. The location is super convenient for shopping and going to the beach, and there's a bus stop right downstairs. Highly recommend.

Grand Hyatt Fukuoka, Fukuoka1 / 30

Fukuoka, 1-2-82 Sumiyoshi (2 km from centre) 🧭 Map
This hotel is super convenient! It's just one subway stop away from both Hakata Station and Tenjin, and right next to Canal City Hakata. There's a Don Quijote about a ten-minute walk away, and a Family Mart right downstairs. The service at the hotel was excellent; someone helped me with my luggage as soon as I arrived. Breakfast was also good.
The location is incredibly convenient and just amazing! It's even walkable to the airport, though I still opted for a taxi. All the shopping, dining, and attractions are within a 20-minute walk.
The hotel's location is excellent, right next to Canal City, so you can go shopping as soon as you step out. The service is fantastic, and everyone is very friendly. The bathroom has great water pressure, making for a very enjoyable bath experience.
Hotel is nice and clean. Located inside canal city hakata, so you can get whatever u want and wont be bored. Access also convenient.
Lovely hotel in an excellent location. Very good service, would recommend for all stays in Fukuoka!
The hotel is located in the city center, about 4km from Fukuoka Airport by taxi, which cost around 2300 yen. The hotel isn't super new, but it's conveniently just one stop away from major shopping areas like Hakata and Tenjin. The only downside was the slightly small bed. Everything else was fine.

Hotel New Otani Hakata, Fukuoka1 / 30

Fukuoka, 1 Chome-1-2 Watanabedori, Chuo Ward (45 min from centre) 🧭 Map
New Otani never disappoints 🫶. Definitely a little dated (there is a charm to it) but very well maintained and service was amazing!! Everyone is so courteous and thoughtful, always making sure we know they are here to help anytime. Room was on the larger side. A very comfortable stay. It is right outside the subway station too. With plenty of convenience stalls, also a straight walk to the shopping...
A very comfortable 5-star hotel! While the facilities are a bit dated, the environment is great, and the location is incredibly convenient. It's right in the heart of Fukuoka, making it easy to get anywhere. The hotel parking is also very convenient, which was a huge plus for us since we were driving.
I stayed here for the last two nights of my Kyushu trip. The room had a massage chair, which was a huge relief after a week of driving. The hotel is a bit older, but that wasn't a big issue for me. It's close to the subway, the rooms are spacious, and the service is great. Overall, it offers good value for money.
Very nice front desk ambassador Mr Siu and convenient
The staff are helpful. But we can’t check in till 3:30pm. The design is old but its supreme location can compensate.
Clean, quiet, and tidy. Very close to the subway station. There's a FamilyMart convenience store right outside, as well as another old-school grocery store. The room was cleaned daily (typical of an older 5-star hotel). The air conditioning/heating system worked very well. There was a Chinese-speaking staff member at the front desk.

Hotel Nikko, Fukuoka1 / 30
7.8
Fukuoka, 2 Chome-18-25 Hakata Ekimae, Hakata Ward (2 km from centre) 🧭 Map
Kind staff that understand me with even though I know 0 Japanese and coming from Canada the staff are really the best. They go way way beyond my expectations of what a hotel staff are supposed to do. The room was great and was prepared exactly as we asked for and the room service was also so fast and clean. The lobby as you enter the hotel was nothing but luxurious vibes with changing displays to make...
I have very mixed feelings about my stay. First off, the service was impeccable; the reception staff were incredibly friendly and professional. The hardware in the room was also practical—plenty of power outlets in good locations (better than Mitsui Garden) and a Smart TV with Netflix/YouTube. However, I had a terrifying experience during the night. The room lighting was very dim with limited controls...
I stayed at Hotel Nikko for a longer period during my trip at Fukuoka, and I thought it was very nice. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit. All the front desk staff I encountered were friendly, polite, and helpful. The hotel is very close to Hakata Station, only about a 3–5 minute walk. Ichiran Ramen is also nearby, which made it very convenient. I also tried the in-room massage service...
Room size and location were our main criteria. Very good for both. Very clean and well maintained hotel; but it is showing its age, esp the room/bathroom. Only one plug at each bed; no usb plugs anywhere. Bring an extension and/or plugs. Also, only two-prong plugs accepted; bring an adapter. The breakfast buffet was average. The famous Fukuoka-baguette wasn't to my liking ... so I cut out all the fillings...
Rooms are quite practical. Seems they've upgraded and renovated the room itself, as this hotel seems to have a history. All the staff are quite friendly, attentive, always smiling, well-groomed and mannered, always greeting guests, willing to assist. I'm amazed with the service level at this hotel. The hotel itself is quite close by to Hakata station and Amu plaza. Quite a lot of eateries and café...
It's not very cheap, and it's an old capsule. I think the large public bath is nice. I chose the Royal Capsule, but I didn't really understand what was so royal about it. You can't bring in food or drinks, it's a hassle to go out, and there are many other things that make it difficult to use.

The Luigans Spa and Resort, Fukuoka1 / 30
8.7
Fukuoka, 18-25 Saitozaki (8 km from centre) 🧭 Map
Staff are helpful and friendly, breakfast is good, but the hotel is looking a bit tired (compared to 10 years ago when we stayed previously). Lighting in rooms is poor and the beds are simply old and worn out. Shuttle bus into Hakata is useful but the schedule is pretty limited and whilst the railway across the road is an alternative, there probably are better options closer to town.
The room is spacious with extra bed for kid. Baby cot can be provided as well.
A clean and convenient hotel. The only downside is that the beach isn't swimmable.
Hotel is clean the only thing I found it weird we had to set our own bed they left the futons folding on the corner of the room for you No pool service I m told summer only this is mid October but it is hot as hell felt like summer time in fall not recommended if you don’t rent the car
The highlight of my Fukuoka trip. It was quiet and relaxing, offered great value, had spacious rooms, and the staff were very friendly. After spending three days enjoying the park, we even extended our stay. I would definitely return.
Great hotel. Good for a family holiday. Close to the seaside park. Reservation required for restaurants. Night pool only available to adults. Free shuttle bus between the hotel and Hearts Bus Station Hakata. Swimming ring JPY 3000, sandals JPY 2000.
