Nagasaki, 9-24 Kagomachi (5 km from centre) 🧭 Map
The staff are so friendly, nice and helpful. The room was amazing, clean, tidy and beautiful. The location is awesome everything is there.
It was clean, spacious and comfortable. I would definitely use it again when I'm alone.
Building may be old but it is very clean and spacious rooms. Modern toilet and p
bathroom. Ample toiletries and amenities. Staff members are courteous and helpful but English is limited so prepare to use translation apps. Street is not accessible to tourist bus.
The bedding is soaked hippopotamus ㆍㆍㆍㆍ
It's an old hotel, so the air conditioner smells no joke
The room is big for a Japanese hotel, but it was hard to find, so I had to turn around a few times
But the location is right in front of Chinatown, so the food and such are good
Even though there is a limit on the number of people allowed in the women's large bath, many guests ignored the limit and entered.
After bathing, I contacted the front desk to let them know that there were a lot of people exceeding the limit, and they told me, "We leave it up to the guests to use the bathroom, and the hotel cannot help you with that." Even though it's a large bath inside the hotel...
The location is good, the facilities are a bit old, but the rooms are spacious.
It's small and old, but I like the fact that it has a large public bath, and there are several coin laundry machines, so it's easy to do laundry.
It is a good value hotel.

Nagasaki, 523 Otori-machi, Nagasaki-shi (60 min from centre) 🧭 Map
The hotel is quite a classic one and is located next to a small mountain. The view from upper floor (our room was on the 9th floor) give your a really nice view of the Nagasaki bay. The dinner and break fast buffet are both winners! So much variety and fresh! Very impressive!
Very nice onsen hotel, onsen with good view but specific time period for male and female to use the pool with view at 11 floor.
My dinner timing slot was specified to be at 7:30-9pm but when a go in at 7:30pm sharp most other guests are already inside. At 8:30pm food are already gone!
The buffet is famous and I was looking forward to it. However, I was disappointed with only two types of finely chopped sashimi, three types of thin nigiri, and vegetable tempura. The value for money is not good. Also, if I had known that students on a school trip would be staying there, I would have avoided it. The view from the rooftop open-air bath was amazing, so it's a shame.
The bath with a view was very nice.
The facilities were old and in poor condition.
Very dated. The breakfast and dinner buffets are mediocre. Very good: We complained about the worn-out chairs in the room. They were immediately replaced with very good new ones.
The facilities in the room are a bit old, but it is very clean and the room is relatively large. There is a tatami next to the window, where you can lie down and look at the street view of Nagasaki. There is an open-air natural hot spring on the top floor of the hotel. You can soak in the hot water and watch Nagasaki, which has a great view.

Nagasaki, 105, Obamacho Kitahommachi, Unzen-Shi, Nagasaki, 854-0514, Japan (31 km from centre) 🧭 Map
This hotel probably saw it’s heydey in 1988 but it’s still comfortable and well located. The beds and bedding are super comfy with buckwheat pillows. The best part about the hotel is their onsen. It’s huge and has the hottest water I’ve yet experienced in Japan. Location is close to the foot bath and lots of izakayas. Highly recommend Obama Style Izakaya around the corner.
A bit odd checking in to a neighbouring hotel, issues with door lock batteries soon overcome, it was a fabulous base for exploring the coast, inland volcanoes, food and especially the recently reviewed Tourist Information which surely was the best I’ve ever encountered.
The hotel is right on the seaside, and the rooms are large, but the facilities are a bit old. There is a little gecko accompanying you at night
If you are here specifically for travel, this hotel is not suitable. If you are just making a transition, it is a good choice.
The hotel is just right next to the bus terminal. Though it’s old, everything is clean and tidy. The front desk staff is all friendly and eager to help.
It exceeds expectations for the price.
And they assigned me the best room.
The hotel is in a good location. There is easy parking, boiled eggs, free water, and free ice cream in the onsen. The hotel is not very new, but the facilities are complete.

Clean, well appointed hotel with a fantastic night view of the city. There is however a big cemetery below the hotel which some what mars the fantastic views. Dinner menu changes if you stay more than one night which is very thoughtful . Dinner was delicious . Breakfast however was buffet style and the choices were limited and same everyday. There is a lounge with free snacks and alcoholic beverages...
A wonderful hotel! The room has a great view of the city, and the room itself is simply beautiful. If you're ever in Nagasaki, I definitely recommend staying here.
My only advice is to take a car/taxi/bus, but don't walk to the hotel! Yes, Google Maps will show the walk is short and only involves a couple of stairs. But that's not true; I've experienced it firsthand.
The night view from my room was absolutely stunning! Perfect spot to relax after a day of exploring.
The view from the hotel window was superb. I was extremely comfortable and felt safe.
The hotel was recently renovated, and the room, breakfast, night view, are surprisingly good!
The view was amazing, and the bath in the room was great too.

Good staff services
Always stay here. Very helpful hotel staff when seek for help !
The facilities were old, and the bathroom was noticeably old, with things like the hand soap containers, and it didn't feel clean.
I felt it was a bit disappointing considering the price.
It's good for a walk right behind the shrine and it's very quiet. There's also a stream flowing nearby, so it was very healing.
Near to Isahaya station
The hotel is around 5-10 minute walk to Isahaya station. The receptionist is nice but barely understand and speak English. The room is neat and it’s super great to have a foot massage machine in it.

The hotel is a bit dated, but it makes up for it with a delicious and well-prepared breakfast.
Clean and comfy. Right next to Lawson's and walking distance to several restaurants and izakayas. Free parking at hotel!
The location is very good. I stayed here for an event at the Amakusa Civic Center, and it was conveniently located for convenience stores, bus terminals, restaurants, and more. I highly recommend this hotel, including the front desk service.
Strategic location right opposite Hondo Bus Center in the middle of Amakusa city. Cute and very clean hotel with a traditional Japanese style room. The facilities are great. The room is warm but the bathtub water is not hot enough. Breakfast is available only in the set menu.
Whole day I rode under pouring rain and this hotel was my relief. I stayed in Japanese style room that I really like. Everything was clean, bed was comfortable. And they even provide beauty items such as oil, tonic etc for free.

This hotel is trying very hard to be a proper hotel in Amakusa. 5 stars for effort. Despite the old facilities, most of their single or double rooms have been nicely renovated. There are however some twin rooms still not renovated. No smell in the room whatsoever. Perhaps the twin room may have some issues due to their age
The room had a very high ceiling which was comforting but the bed...

Service was excellent even though most staff had limited English. They were very helpful with queries and bookings. Awesome selection at breakfast, and dinners were amazingly well presented and delicious. Room was very clean though dated. Location is a bit out of the way but was right by the beach.
The location was great, right in front of the sea.
The hotel is located in the first row of the sea view. The scenery in the morning and evening is superb. The service staff is very friendly and the food is also very satisfactory. There is a bathhouse about five minutes' walk away (you can take a shuttle bus). We think it is great. There are two types of sea view and mountain view. The men's and women's baths will rotate on single and double days,...
Stayed in the standard double room.
The room was huge, which is really surprising for Japan hotels. Everything was clean, it’s just that the hotel is a little old which shows in the style of the decorations, but the interior of the rooms were clean.
Hotel had public baths and breakfast buffet came with the room we booked. Spread of the buffet was alright.
Location wise, it’s nothing exceptional...
Amakusa is at the edge of Kumamoto, and transportation is inconvenient. You can take the Amakusa bus from Kumamoto, which takes two and a half hours on the road. There will be no group tours in this place, which is good. It is quiet and the hot springs are basically like a private place. The room was very old and had an uncomfortable smell. The can of Febreze provided did help remove the smell. The wifi occasionally stopped working. No hot water in the shower. Pros are the location was good and breakfast was nice.
I stayed here during a trip to Nagasaki.
It was conveniently located near the station.
It was just a short walk across the footbridge from Nagasaki Station.
There was also a convenience store under the footbridge, so it wasn't a problem for me.
The building was a little old, but it was fine for staying there.
The woman at the front desk was very polite and helpful.
There were also amenities available...
It is right in front of the station. Great location. A bit old hotel, but everything you need is here
We were allowed to check in early and the room was big. Amenities are old but they are clean!
Nice place that’s close to the station. There’s actually an escalator to the overpass on the station side and an elevator right at the corner outside the hotel (Google maps doesn’t show it for some reason).
The room was on the top floor, had a great view, and was very comfortable.
I had a relaxing time. Thank you.

From the station, it's a short walk. There's a public shower room. Overall, it's good.
The bathroom is quite big, there is a stove and washing machine in the room, but it is a little far from the JR station
Amenities are plentiful, including a welcome drink!
The people at the front desk were very friendly and it was worth the price! I was very satisfied!
It didn't bother me that much, but those who look for perfection might be concerned about the dirt and mold in the bathroom, but generally all areas were clean and I was very satisfied!
Isahaya trip and a short stay for one night. The room is not big but very clean. There is also free laundry service and drying is also free. There are also three or four izakayas near the station. The quality is good. It is an all-you-can-eat restaurant. 3500yen per person.
It would be better if the bath time was a little longer.
Really nice hotel. I would return next time I visit Isahaya.

Not only was the interior classical, but the high-quality service made it a pleasant stay. I highly recommend it as it has many features to ensure a relaxing stay.
Fantastic hotel with a formal, old-time feel.
From the approach to the entrance, lobby, dining room, and library, everything is a photo spot. The room (a superior twin) features classic, simple furnishings, primarily made of wood (the wooden-framed windows were particularly impressive). Service is excellent. Breakfast and dinner are both tasty with different varieties.
Very nice onsen hotel, with both an indoor and outdoor onsen, and they provide yukata as well. Rooms are very authentic, and the hotel is located around 10 minutes walk from the town centre but right across the bus stop for buses from Nagasaki and to Shinabara
The onsen was fantastic, the location is really convenient, and the staff were all incredibly friendly and welcoming
The hotel's service is excellent, and we recommend booking the kaiseki course as well. Breakfast and hot spring baths, both indoor and outdoor, and family baths are all included in the room rate.
The hotel annex has 7 rooms and a private outdoor hot spring, which is convenient for those who do not like to soak in the hot spring in a public bath. The hotel staff can communicate in English, making it very suitable for tourists who do not speak Japanese!
The location is extremely convenient, with a bus stop right outside and the transit station and the Kaminita Pass station just a 10-minute walk away!

It's close to Nagasaki Station, and the Nagasaki bus stop is just a 3-minute walk away, making it very convenient. The exterior looks old, but the inside is brand new, clean, and comfortable. The staff were all very friendly, and I had a very pleasant stay.
The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable.
The staff were very polite, and check-in and check-out were smooth.
The location was good, and the surrounding area was quiet, so I was able to rest comfortably.
Overall, it was good value for money, and I would like to stay again.
The lock is an old-fashioned type, but it doesn't bother me.
It seemed like there were students staying on the floor above, so there was quite a lot of vibration. It was fine during bedtime, but it was annoying all the time.
I got lost on the way there, but I managed to get there. I parked in the underground parking lot and when I checked in, the staff greeted me with a smile. The breakfast was delicious and filling. I'll definitely stay here again if I have the chance to visit Nagasaki city.
Although it is an old building, the bathroom and toilet have been renovated and are clean. There are many beautifully bound popular manga in the lobby on the first floor, making it a great place to kill time. The staff were also kind and I would like to use it again.

We booked 4 rooms for 10 people stays. So far my family enjoyed the stay here to experience the traditional Japanese ryokan with dinner and breakfast. Food are delicious as well
Staffs are very polite. Room is very big. Good service.
The management is inflexible. Because of flight delays, the hotel refuses to accommodate guests who are delayed by a day. The only option is to cancel without a refund and rebook. However, the hotel claims it's a problem with the system and cannot do this. This lack of flexibility causes losses for guests, which is very unsatisfactory. We hope the management methods can be improved.
Service was great, although I feel like the hotel is targeted at more elderly travelers. Breakfast was pretty and tasty. Onsen feels a bit unrenovated. The garden and the pond are pretty also. Would generally recommend, especially if you like to be thrown back to the 80s (but like in a good way).
This ryokan left mixed feelings.
We decided to walk from the bus stop to the ryokan, and that was a mistake. Along the way, we passed dilapidated and abandoned ryokans, one of which still had a wreath from a funeral. What we saw was truly terrifying.
At the ryokan itself, we were greeted warmly. They took our suitcases and took us to our room. They treated us to cold matcha and canelé.
I was shocked...

Conveniently located and good value for the money. It has a nostalgic feel and friendly staff.
This is an old hotel located a liitle up slope and few blocks away from the train station.
The television in the room even has a dyscryptor on it.
The decoration in the hotel is unique with old style fashion.
I would say I've got a good experience of living in such historical hotel.
This hotel is cost-effective and the location is okay. It takes about 5 minutes to walk to the station. It is uphill to walk to the hotel. It is a bit tiring to push the big box. It is hygienic. I was quite disappointed with this booking made via Trip.com. I specifically booked a Deluxe Japanese Western style room with an outdoor hot bath, as the outdoor hot bath was a key reason for choosing this room.

Overall, it was fantastic! The only slight disappointment was that the soup served with dinner was lukewarm. On the bright side, I was really happy that both bathhouses had a shampoo bar! ( *´꒳`*)
I booked a corner room to enjoy the Nagasaki city view, and it was absolutely stunning—honestly the highlight of my stay. The staff were very friendly, and there were team members who specifically assisted international guests and spoke excellent English. If you’re looking for a place to relax, enjoy a panoramic view of Nagasaki, and soak in an onsen, this is definitely the hotel to stay at.
It's located on a pretty steep hill, and there isn't much commercial activity around. You'll need to take a bus to get into the city center. There's a bus stop right outside the hotel, conveniently named after the hotel itself. Make sure you get off at that stop; getting off even one or two stops earlier will mean a steep climb.

The Japanese-style room has futons, so I'm not sure if it's an experience that non-Japanese people would find acceptable. Both dinner and breakfast are Japanese, so this was also good. The Hell Pilgrimage Trail consists of a deck that is easy to walk on with comfortable shoes, so it was easy to walk on. If you take your time, you can leisurely spend about an hour as you come down after looking at various things.
