Inexpensive hotels in Shymkent

We didn't expect that, Shymkent city and people was good. Our Hotel Receptionist Miss Louisa was very Helpful and professional. I recommend all to book this hotel and enjoy the stay and service from Professional staff

Good hotel with good service, but be aware if you are foreigner and you come to check in late at night the is good chance if you don’t speak Russian or Kazakh there will be some language difficulties

I'm very apreciated about the Tourist Hotel service for cleaning my room and breakfast at bed ;0) My room had brand new interier. So quiet place with nice view and lot of space for rest and living.

Very nice people working at the hotel. In the process of a complete renovation. Would recommend if passing through shymkent.

Don't look outside because its a old property but they have completely upgraded the rooms, overall average experience with value for money

The cosy hotel. Cleaned every day. The rooms are clean, no smell of tobacco. A hearty Breakfast buffet.

Good hotel for a reasonable price. The furniture in some rooms was too old and in my opinion already it is time to change it. The Breakfast is good. The hotel location is quite convenient.

But there are a few BUT: slow Wi-Fi and turnover rates( very often changing administrators). And I think you need to invest in a hotel (to freshen the furniture, appliances, dishes)

Clean, cozy and very comfortable. There are many places for walking around, all within walking distance. The girl at the bar is very helpful and pleasant

Doesn't have water on rooms for free, if you take it from mini bar you have to pay for it. On the second hand, generally it's a good hotel

The TVs are just for show. There's no external antenna, and the smart TV doesn't work.

Hotel near firma Ernies, was not inside can not say anything.

Continental breakfast very good too. It's very convenient, the offer an early check-in as we arrived very early at Shymkent Airport but you'll have to leave at the same hour the next day

Bathroom was clean and toiletries were provided. Hot water was available all the time. I checked in at midnight and it was smooth. Very near to bus stand and big market

The hotel is well located in the middle, with good big size rooms.

Bathroom is superb and spacious. Price was also very reasonable. Only point lift is between floors. Wifi was slow on upper floors

Good hotel if you need a place for the night

He was so accommodating and helped me in every way that he could. Thanks to his help I could book a train back to Almaty and left safely. The only thing I would add for perfect service is breakfast, even if it's paid

All shared cabs start from the hotel entrance and cost about 1500-2000 tenge. Chyngyz at the front desk was super helpful and protective, he really helped me to fetch a taxi across the border

Very very nice hotel, can pass for 4 star considering how huge and clean the rooms are. Location is really good, especially if you're looking to go to Uzbekistan

When I came back from Uzbekistan, I went straight to this hotel but it was sadly booked out. Chyngyz was not there either but the other guy was just as sweet

The water is a little cold, but there are three sections of the pool: a deep section for ages 12 and up, a medium depth section for ages 6-7 to 10, and a shallow section for toddlers

Excellent recreation area. Clean comfortable pool, green area, helpful managers and waiters. Delicious cuisine. And most importantly - within the city, no need to go far.

Very nice water park, the most important thing is clean !! The staff works well! Cool pools for both kids and adults.

The pool is great, but I don't know about the rooms. But for a pool, it's very clean

I was comfortable and relaxed here, and that goes double after having roughed it for hours in a marshrutka going to and from Türkistan. The only con I can think of: the location is not what you’d call ideal

That said, it’s only about 150 meters to the nearest bus stop; after some Google translating and/or semaphore, the staff will arrange a taxi for you; and Uber, technically speaking, has a presence in Shymkent, even if said presence is nascent

If you’re staying in Shymkent, you’re probably coming from or going to Tashkent, the national parks, or Türkistan. I can’t think of a better place to go back to or land at than Totem

Big clean rooms. Good price, nice food. Only issue is slightly far from city but that reflects the price. Good stay.
