Terrassa Park Hotel in Borovoye

One evening, my friend and I decided to dine at a local restaurant, eager to enjoy a delicious meal and unwind. However, our experience quickly turned sour as we encountered incredibly disappointing service, particularly from the restaurant staff. Despite ordering our food promptly, we were left waiting for a staggering 50 minutes before our main dishes were finally brought to our table. To make matters worse, the simple request for bread to accompany our soup was completely ignored by the waitresses, who seemed indifferent to our needs.

As frustrated as we were, we couldn't help but feel perplexed by the lack of responsiveness from the waitresses. Their unresponsiveness left us feeling neglected and unheard. It was disheartening to witness such poor customer service, especially when we had been looking forward to a pleasant dining experience.

Definitely not worth the money! The hotel is in very bad condition. It is unpleasant to be in the room. The air conditioning does not cope. The flooring needs to be replaced or dry cleaned. The bathroom is terrible, there are cheap shower cabins that are already dirty and rusty, the doors do not close, the shower tray is cracked, the water pressure is very weak. The reception staff is absolutely not customer-oriented, rude, incompetent. The outdoor pool can hardly be called a pool. The hotel is located on a beautiful clean lake, but the shore is completely unkempt. Everything is overgrown with reeds. The SPA area is typical, there is nothing supernatural in it, but the prices are astronomical.

The hotel is located in Burabay village. The road that leads to the hotel is in a pretty bad condition and gets especially bad when it is raining. Nobody ever answers the front desk phone for some reason. I guess that messaging is the only option available to communicate with them. Not very good especially when you are driving!
Once you get to the hotel, you are going to encounter a rude security guard who is gonna challenge you and keep you at the turnpike for quite a while. I did not like the guy straight away by the way he started barking at me and that was my first impression of this place, unfortunately….
When we arrived, the front desk refused to honor the room rate we previously had agreed on, so we said bye and found a better hotel instead. Luckily, it was a work week day and there was a plethora of other options.
We quickly checked out the swimming pool area and cafeteria prices, and quickly realized that prices don’t meet the quality at this hotel, since a family of three are expected to spend 70 000 kzt for a standard room plus as much for food and entertainment here. An average check at the cafeteria comes out to about 7 000-8 000 kzt a person, which is not bad, considering that it will meet the quality expectations.
It is actually so ludicrous how local hotels try to pitch to the locals European hotel accommodation standards, such as: 12 o’clock checkouts v.s. 3 PM checkins; each additional child is surcharged at a rate of 12 000 KZT for breakfast, although neither room nor sleeping bed are getting any bigger because of it and so on… 12 000 kzt just for breakfast? Come on, Karl!? Seriously!? I never had 12000 kzt worth of cereal for breakfast in my life)))
In conclusion, I would have stayed here and checked out other services at this hotel, should the staff have been more kind and wwlcoming here((((
