Mixed impressions overall.
The courtyard is cozy — it’s clear that the host, Dmitry, takes good care of it and puts in effort. However, the price seemed overpriced: we paid more when booking remotely than guests who arrived and booked on the spot. We recommend confirming the rate upon check-in.

The rooms are simple and homey, with hot water, a refrigerator, and basic kitchenware.

Overall, the cost didn’t quite match the quality of our stay.

Nearby is the beautiful Presidential Park, which more than makes up for the lack of a green courtyard compared to some other places.

About the beaches.
We mostly spent time at the beach near the government residence (east of the city beach). The depth starts about 20 meters from the shore. Unfortunately, we had to collect a bag of trash left behind by other visitors.

We also recommend walking toward Kaganat Beach — there’s a lovely sandy spit there, perfect for relaxing and taking photos

We had a great stay! Dimitri was a friendly and helpful host who made us feel very welcome. The room was clean, comfortable, and very reasonably priced. There was also a good parking facility, which was very convenient. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Cholpon-Ata!

This Hotel is very, very clean lodge where one can find a heavenly beautiful garden. The master is a man diligent and who has a special kindness! If I shall come again at Cholfon-Ata, I will come back to this house without any hesitation. Altissimo~

The Podsolnukhi Guesthouse boasts green, well-maintained grounds with trees, flowers, and shrubs, among which are pergolas adorned with climbing plants, benches, and swings. This verdant ambiance pleasantly sets Podsolnukhi apart from the crowd of neighboring guesthouses.
The rooms are unassuming, but they are neat and cozy, and they have everything you need for a comfortable stay. A table and chairs for breakfast and tea are available under the awning. Guests can prepare their own meals in the shared kitchen located in the courtyard, as well as on the barbecue grill in the garden.
The house is located 100 meters from the entrance to the city park, from where the nearest beach is a pleasant 5-7-minute walk.
During our week-long stay (August 28 - September 3), we enjoyed the tranquility and relaxing atmosphere of this place. Dmitry, the owner of "Podsolnukhov," is sociable and responsive. We didn't notice any pushy extra services. At the same time, he readily responded to requests for help choosing a cafe, calling a taxi, and organizing a jeep tour to the Semenovskoye and Grigoryevskoye gorges.
The majestic landscape, the beautiful weather, the clear, moderately cool lake water, and the deserted, wild beach, combined with the comfort of the guesthouse, left the warmest memories of our stay in Cholpon-Ata.

Absolutely assess the quality of housing is hardly possible, only in conjunction with its cost. Since I got here in a certain historical period, the hype for living in the resort village of Cholpon Ata was completely anomalous for this time of year. A direct consequence was inflated housing prices. People are making money. Nothing special. Two friends and I got the second floor of a small house, where a plumbing unit was allocated in a single room with the help of walls. Refrigerator, sliding Soviet table, microwave and sink for dishes. From sleeping places - a sliding sofa and a double bed. The warm floor over the entire area of ​​the room worked properly and did not let you freeze with cool fans. I would compare this room with a very cool hostel. If there was not a magnificent open balcony with a sofa, sitting on which you can calmly get stuck for an hour on how the clouds get stuck in the palisade of mountain peaks. But only one room can boast of such a view.
The territory of the guest house is compact, well-groomed and something like home. Hens graze in the corners, grapes twine around three arbors, and the lawn is neatly trimmed and very green. Surely in season, the yard becomes a place for meetings, joint cooking and songs.
Dmitry, the owner of this estate, makes a generally good impression. Despite his passionate desire to earn. He will prompt, tell, warn, but at the same time he will certainly advertise either his services or the services of his acquaintances.
It's time to move on to the unpleasant part. Our room with a balcony cost us 1300 soms per person per day. And if for a room - this is more than an acceptable price, then multiplying this amount by the number of people is already approaching the concept of "ripped off". Then we learned that at the same moment of space-time there were options for 1500-2000 soms for a dwelling incomparably closer to the city. But, unfortunately, without mountains, a lawn and chickens.
In general, of course, I recommend, if for 1000 soms. Soma, money, money - it's disgusting to myself) But what can you do.

The place is quiet and clean. We rested in April, in the evenings it was cool outside, and the room was warm and cozy. In general, a very pleasant place, a magnificent garden, the owner Dmitry prepares delicious breakfasts, helped us organize trips to local attractions. Very close to the bus station. The beaches are nearby too. Satisfied, thanks!

For this price is normal, the rooms are small, there is no daily cleaning.

Cozy, green courtyard, a lot of shade and secluded arbors. The lake is a 5 minute walk through the park. Near the center, there are cafes, and shops, and exchangers. The owner is very friendly, always there and ready to help with any request.
