I really enjoyed my stay at the Grand Palace Hotel. The staff at check-in were so gracious and friendly. The rooms were beautiful and comfortable. I loved the turn down service in the evenings. The hotel is very close to the cheerful Christmas market. I enjoyed my stay at this hotel and in Riga. I would definitely stay here again if I came back to the city.

Stayed here over 7 years ago. What a place. Still the same high-quality hotel made perfect by the friendly staff. Nothing is too much trouble. Had to come back to sit in the bar for the afternoon and share memories of our last visit. Great location, just off Dome Square. This time, we got to experience the Chrismas market. It was one of the best we've visited. If you're looking for the authentic Christmas experience. This is the place to be.

Finally a hotel that gets it! The hotel is absolutely gorgeous and as soon as you enter you feel like a guest and not a customer. There is always someone to help at the reception, and beverages and cookies ready to take. When entering the room we found a hand-written welcome letter, chocolates and other sweets. There were all kind of amenities in the room, a filled mini bar and every evening there is an evening service providing new complementary bottles of water and chocolates. How great is that!
Next to that, the room is beautiful, spacious and clean.
Last but not least the breakfast, it has everything you need and more. Next to the lovely buffet you can order different egg dishes (even Eggs Benedict) and pancakes. There are always staff walking around to clean your table and take your order.
Like I said, finally a hotel that gets it:))

Great service from all, good comfortable rooms and excellent central location. They already do things for you before you have to ask! We arrived early, left bags with them, and came back later for the room. They had already took bags to our room. On way out our flight was in the evening and we booked the hotel car for airport transfer. We went to reception to get our bags... And they were out waiting for us. Little details make all the difference. The bar made some great tasting cocktails, and reception staff were excellent!! Would recommend to anyone else...

We booked the hotel because the pictures were very well done and the hotel was centrally located. We were celebrating a special event and wanted a special hotel. Unfortunately, the hotel is showing its age when you look at it. The floor in the room squeaks and the room is smaller than average compared to the standard of a hotel room. Unfortunately, it wasn't really clean and the hotel has a smell that probably comes from the old carpets and furniture. Anyone who goes to this hotel must be a fanatic of old buildings and not expect any comfort! The service was also "over the top" for the hotel. They pretend to be something they aren't, really unpleasant.

I saw the hotel at booking.com and thought the room was pretty. The room I booked was spacious with old fashioned interior. The breakfast was good, but I hoped for more dishes to choose from and the variety was small. They would make a warm dish on the spot, you could choose from eggs to pancakes etc. The cleaners came to the room twice a day and got us water, chocolate and put out slippers by the bed which was nice. The hotel is central and you can walk around The Old Town in Riga. Highly recommended the hotel!🤍
