The St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort in Velavaru

Our stay at The St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort was absolutely flawless. From the time that we were greeted at the airport to when we were dropped off after leaving the lounge for departure, the resort staff went above and beyond to make our stay extra special and memorable.

We booked an overwater villa facing the island. The room was always clean and well maintained. The housekeeping staff left us welcome gifts and lovely messages on the windows each morning. Ibrahim did a fantastic job and was very kind.

We had to visit the Doctor during our visit. Dr. Saad and his assistant, Raja, were super kind, helpful, and happy to help us feel better.

We ate at every restaurant except for T Pan and Decanter. We ate at Orientale twice. Chef Abdul at Orientale personally came to our table to ensure that our meal was going to be prepared completely gluten free because one of us has Celiac disease. He brought us a special starter that wasn't on the menu that he prepared personally and delivered it to the table. He made our final night at the resort extra special, and we have never experienced this level of service anywhere else in the world. We were happy to find gluten free options at Crust and Craft for lunch. They offered gluten free pizza and had gluten free burger buns as well. We had a lovely conversation with Mausim at Crust and Craft about the country of the Maldives. He was exceptionally kind and happy to help us have a meal that was gluten free. The food at Cargo and Alba was amazing as well.
We were happy to be offered breakfast free of charge each morning by being a Platinum Marriott Bonvoy member. Having breakfast at Alba was a perfect way to start each day of our stay.

Our butler during our stay was Haroon. He went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. He was always available to help us with anything we needed.

The St. Regis Maldives at Vommuli truly stands above world class when it comes to service and hospitality. Everyone at the resort greeted us with a smile and made sure that our stay was perfect. Haroon, Chef Abdul, and Mausim went above and beyond to make this a vacation to happily remember forever. We thank them for their hospitality.

Spotless for an island paradise experience. Ismail was great and attentive the whole way. Food was more than pleasant enough. Kaliman at T-Pan is clearly very talented and has the potential to be great if given the right experience. The pool is comfortable and the views are stunningly beautiful. Even my Whoop noted I was way more relaxed than usual despite the jet lag.

Perfect rating all around.

That said, there were still two deal breakers for me personally preventing a return trip any time soon:

1. the trip here from the U.S. is just too onerous for an experience similar to other tropical paradise locations more accessible to Americans.

2. They seem to have capped internet connection at 10mbps up/down, good enough for teams calls, YouTube videos and most other things but when I had to download Excels and PPTs for work, it was too slow. I also couldn’t do teams and virtual desktop into client environment at the same time without lag.

Again, first world problems and edge cases but hopefully this helps people make informed choices.

I checked into St. Regis from February 10 to 17, with 304 the first two days and 506 the next two days. We would like to give a great tribute to the butler Stella! She was very considerate of us to plan all the activities in advance. And it responds quickly, warmly, and enthusiastically. And when we are unsure, it can "flash" before us and effectively resolve the issue. They will also occasionally prepare small surprises for us, making people feel at home. Super great Stella, please ask the management to promote and raise her!
We should also commend Haseeb, who cleaned our room. The waiter was very enthusiastic and could fold various small animals with a bath towel. Every day was different, full of surprises, and the room was also cleaned very thoroughly, with every detail.
With such employees, Reggie can gain a reputation and attract tourists from all over the world. Wishing Reggie great business success!

That's one of my best experiences ever. I stayed with St.Regis with my parents to celebrate their wedding anniversary, I told the hotel in advance abt the anniversary and the time we land on the island, everything has been taken best care of. We booked one bedroom villa and were upgraded to two bedroom villa by the generous hotel. Special thanks to my butler Mena who arranged everything so smoothly that made my parents feel like being home.

From the moment you arrive at the St Regis Vommuli you feel at home. The butlers remember every detail, leave specially curated notes and surprises in your room every day to elevate the experience and give it that special touch. Our butlers Mena and Abanoub were incredible. Even going above and beyond when I mentioned in passing that I really liked a little sand art that was left on the boardwalk to our rooms. Sure enough, the next day there was custom sand art in front of our door that our Butler had left there for my surprise. Everything at this resort is at your fingertips. If you need a ride, they are there with a golf cart within what feels like seconds, any accommodations are made for food preferences, they remember your drinks at the restaurants, and your preferences at the beach. We had an especially wonderful young man helping us at the beach I believe his name was Aya. We also did our scuba diving open water certification course and our scuba instructor Ismail, Smile, was beyond patient, so knowledgeable and made the entire experience a dream. We could not have asked for a better trip to disconnect from work and stress in one of the most beautiful places. We rarely return to destinations after we’ve been once as we think there is so much to see in this world, but we both agreed we would come back again soon.

We had a wonderful stay at the St. Regis Maldives. The purpose is to celebrate my wife Birthday. From the moment we stepped off the plane at Malé airport, the service was exceptional. We were greeted immediately, provided with VIP assistance, and escorted us to the VIP lounge to relax while waiting for the seaplane. You don’t need to do anything and just wait for their arrangement. It was an incredibly smooth and comfortable start to the trip. After around 40 mins flight, you will see a beautiful paradise. Our butler, Haroon is already there to welcome us and show us the resort. The resort itself is stunning. One thing I suggest is to join the private dinner on the beach under the starlight. It was truly memorable and one of the highlights of our stay. Strongly recommend to go to whale bar, order a drink and then layback to watching the spectacular sunset. Our water villa is nice, love the design, and equipped with everything we needed. I especially loved the iPad that controls the entire room. Waking up each morning, pressing a single button, and watching the curtains open to reveal the crystal‑blue sea right in front of us felt like a dream. It’s the kind of moment that reminds you what a good life feels like. Everyday we enjoy the time at the deck for sunbath, and jump into water for snorkeling. What a life. Throughout our stay, every staff member was attentive, proactive, and genuinely committed to making our visit special. A special mention goes to Haroon, whose thoughtful support and warm service made a significant difference. His dedication was truly appreciated. We stayed at The St. Regis Maldives Vommuli Resort to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary, and the experience was truly special.

From the start, Uno made our arrival seamless, including a private, luxurious seaplane lounge experience. Our butler Angela (Angie) was exceptional — proactive, thoughtful, and always one step ahead. She handled everything from daily planning and transport to beautiful personal touches, and we felt completely taken care of throughout our stay.

Dining and service were consistently excellent. Juan at ALBA was warm and familiar, Gabriel created a special off-menu mocktail, and Ishaq made our Starlight private dining unforgettable with thoughtful gestures. At Orientale, Chef Soong went out of his way to prepare Chinese noodle soup for me at breakfast after learning I missed it.

At the Iridium Spa, Bella and therapist Amber made our Champagne Toast spa experience deeply relaxing, while Iris from the diving centre was friendly, helpful, and generous with snorkeling advice. Our villa was always immaculate thanks to Maais, whose handwritten notes became a daily highlight.

What impressed us most was that the entire resort seemed to know we were celebrating our 20th anniversary — we only informed the hotel once, yet every department acknowledged it. Thoughtful farewell touches and gifts made the stay even more memorable. We truly hope to return.

Our family trip to The St. Regis Maldives was truly a dream come true. Since we were traveling with our 7-year-old daughter, we were a bit worried at first, but the resort’s thoughtful service and warm hospitality made our stay absolutely perfect from start to finish. We stayed in a Sunset Overwater Villa, and it was simply breathtaking. The deck led directly into the ocean, allowing us to swim together and watch colorful fish and coral right in front of us. We even encountered turtles, sharks, and several kinds of rays — such a rare and unforgettable experience! At night, we lay on the hammock gazing at a sky full of stars — it was magical and peaceful. The Kids Club team was incredibly kind and caring, and our daughter wanted to go there every single day. Activities like coconut painting, jellyfish crafting, and treasure hunting became special memories for her. While she enjoyed those moments, Mom and Dad had some quiet time at the spa, relaxing while looking out over the ocean. The butler service was outstanding. Our butler Abanoub took care of every little detail — our schedule, dining, and activities — with genuine kindness and professionalism. We truly appreciated his warm heart and dedication throughout our stay. The food was also exceptional. We loved dining at ALBA, Orientale, Crust & Craft, and T-Pan — each restaurant offered unique and delicious dishes. The kids’ menu was well-prepared, and every meal during our seven-night stay was delightful. Watching the stunning sunset and the sabrage ceremony at The Whale Bar was another highlight of our trip. All the restaurant staff were always friendly and attentive, making every dining experience even more enjoyable. On our departure day, our daughter said, “Let’s come back to the Maldives again!” She even shed tears before and after the seaplane ride because she didn’t want to leave It was the perfect resort for families, and especially wonderful for children. We can’t wait to return again someday.

My wife and I recently took an anniversary trip to the St. Regis Maldives and it was simply perfect! From the time we landed down in Male, Maldives, everything was perfect and taken care of for us. The sea plane brought us to the Maldives Vommuli Resort, and the start of the most spectacular vacation we have ever taken was underway. We had Haroon as our Personal Butler, and he literally had ESP. things were taken care of before we could ask. He was simply awesome!! I am a Lifetime Titanium with Marriott and Current Ambassador, and was treated so well! Because it was a special anniversary, I purchased the St. Regis Suite, however there is only one sunset SRS Bungalow. Nagi, the resort manager ensured we received the sunset bungalow, and also ensured everything was PERFECT! They do their best to ensure that they greet Bonvoy members with upgrades, however with such a special trip I would recommend not penny pinching. Get what you want, it is worth it!!! you will not be disappointed! Our day started with breakfast. We have stayed at several world renown resorts with fantastic buffets, however this was next level! Each day we enjoyed the marvelous buffet, and we would also share either have a lobster crab omelette or a goat cheese truffle omelette and then either one of their special crepes, French toast, or waffles. They also had Indian, Maldivian and Asian food and some spectacular fresh fruit! The whole staff is amazing. They are all so caring and friendly, and we got to know several of them well. We ate several meals at Alba, which is fantastic, as my wife does not eat much asian food. We got to know Dian, the restaurant manager as well as Sam, Mousim, Shaman and Raja the su Chef . Everyone was amazing! They had an "Indian burger" made for us our last night, and the staff came back with a chocolate cake and a we will "miss you" message. Very well done! It is always a barometer of how good service will be by gauging how happy the staff is. The best service I have experienced at a resort! The St Regis is toward the south western portion of the Maldives atolls, so the sunsets were looking over the ocean, with Africa the next closest land mass over 3,000 miles away. The views are breathtaking! Our bungalow was also VERY private, and allowed for us to really relax and enjoy the outside space. We were there for 8 days, and we did not go to the beach, we enjoyed the bungalow's deck space, the hammocks on the front, and the steps and platform down to the house reef. We were supplied snorkeling gear for the week, and we snorkeled multiple times a day, and also took several dips in the ocean to cool off. The overwater bungalow is on the house reef, so it is fairly shallow, maybe 5 feet. Swimming out 20 yards, you were at the edge of the reef, and could see a sharp drop off of 100+ feet. We saw a number of sharks, and millions of beautiful fish. There were times where we would literally be swimming in a school of fish with h
