We stayed in an overwater villa, and it exceeded all expectations. The villa was stunning, beautifully designed, extremely comfortable, and offering breathtaking views. It was wonderfully calm and peaceful, the perfect place to relax and unwind.
The service throughout our stay was truly 10/10. Housekeeping was impeccable, and the service in all restaurants and bars was flawless - professional, attentive, and genuinely friendly. You feel taken care of at every moment without it ever feeling intrusive.
The food was absolutely to die for. Every restaurant delivered an outstanding experience, but Senses was the clear highlight for us, exceptional flavors, presentation and atmosphere at the beach.
What made this stay truly special is that we got married here. The ceremony was beautiful and perfectly organized down to the smallest detail. I also had my hair done for the ceremony, and it turned out exactly as I had requested. We did a professional photoshoot as well, which resulted in a number of great photos.
The hotel delivers excellence on every level - we cannot recommend it highly enough.

Absolutely amazing week in this wonderful hotel, the rooms and whole island are absolutely spotless. Food is amazing in all of the restaurants, and the staff are ultra helpful and friendly. The hotel goes above and beyond to help, even when we turned up a day late for a fully booked boat trip which was completely our fault as we had the wrong day, they still ensured we could do the trip.
Can’t fault anything about this hotel, some amazing memories for our first time in the Maldives. Thank you.

We went to Lux* for our honeymoon and what a treat that was! The hotel and island are absolutely stunning and very well maintained. The staff! The nicest people I have ever encountered in a hotel, they made our stay extra special. Big shout out to Gabrielle & Ahmed who looked after us everyday. The manager and his wife also made this trip one of a kind with various thoughtful gestures.
The hotel was near to fully booked but we did not feel the crowds at all - be it at the different beaches or restaurants. There are a lot of activities to do and, while I was scared of getting a bit bored spending 10 days there, the time flew by!
We also went scuba diving for the first time and that was just wonderful! The marine life but also the service we received was outstanding.
We met a lot of people who have come back to this place several times and we absolutely understand why! For our next trip to the Maldives, we will definitely come back!

We stayed at the Lux* for our honeymoon and it did not disappoint!! Everything from the food to the staff and activities were perfect. The island is a literal paradise and our pool villa was spacious with stunning sunrise views. We did not want to leave and will defo be returning!
In the 4 nights we stayed, we managed to try all the different restaurants - amazing lunches at Veli Pool Bar, dining under the stars at Senses and the teppanyaki experience with Allan at Umami were all highlights. All inclusive was absolutely worth it with signature cocktails, champagne by the glass, nearly all food options and decent bottles of wine all included. Sunset at Beach Rouge was also great vibes before dinner. If you’re after a very serene experience, then this maybe hang the one for you, but if you want a mix of energy, entertainment and relaxation it’s perfect.
All the staff made us extremely welcome from the moment we stepped foot off the plane, warm greetings at every meal, fast service and friendly housekeeping who did the room twice a day.
The whale shark excursion was also a once in a lifetime experience. The guides were professional and caring, and we travelled a long way to a recent sighting and got to snorkel with 2 whale sharks - the 2nd one we were able to swim alongside for a good few minutes which was a magical experience.
If you’re thinking about booking Lux - do it!

We have visited LUX* South Ari Atoll eight times now, which is itself a testament to the esteem in which we hold it. The island location is beautiful - tranquil, with pristine white sand beaches and turquoise waters. Rooms are comfortable and spacious, but also offer seclusion; we always opt for beach villas, where being able to walk off the rear veranda and straight into the sea in under twenty seconds is sublime.
LUX* has a large range of restaurants and bars; the food, cocktails, wine and other drinks are all outstanding. Across the board, the service is attentive, thorough and friendly. Special shout-outs to:
- Sangeeth: has gone out of his way to look after us exceptionally well on every visit.
- Chef Subbunhi: always warm and welcoming, has made us bespoke, off-menu meals of some of the finest Indian food we have had.
- Ahusan: provided excellent housekeeping, making lots of effort to ensure occasions such as birthdays were extra special.
- Rachael: great job managing our bookings/activities and keeping us up-to-date.
- Shifaz and Dharminder: we have known both for many years; they are always extremely welcoming and helpful.
- Chef Pong: very friendly and warm and makes delicious off-menu Thai food for us.

Great service, amazing experience with dive center. We understand this is a family loved resort but at dinner, be great to have some more control on kids who are playing and loud everywhere, away from their parents and tables.

If I go to the Maldives again, I want to stay here. We went on our honeymoon, but when our family grows and we have children, we'll save up money to stay here again with our parents as a token of our appreciation!!

Room: well designed, I requested for sunset but received sunrise and change to sunset in the last night
