MS Cutty Jean in Sliema

We were a family of 4 with 2 teenage daughters, staying in two cabins. Not knowing what to expect, we found this experience to be very enjoyable and different. Charles and Daria were lovely hosts, very accommodating and eager to please. The boat was smaller than expected, the cabins a little small, but we are short people so all was good and we navigated the steps to below deck easily. We have read a couple of bad reviews about this boat, but it is what is advertised, a converted 1960's trawler. Lovely original features, lots of oak and you can climb up a ladder on to the shelter deck to sun bathe and take in the amazing views of Valletta.

Despite being very hot on shore, the boat deck, lounge area and cabins were cool. Charles runs a small bar on the boat where you can buy beer, wine, spirits and soft drinks.

Breakfast was a lovely selection of cheese, meat, yogurts, juice.

We would recommend a stay on this boat as part of your Malta experience.

The boat is comfortable and cozy, breakfast is excellent, and the special thank you for goes to the crew, all welcoming and great people! The boat is as well parked at the best location you can imagine at the island, with a view to stunning Valetta and a few minutes away from the bus and ferry stops, so it's easy to reach any place in Malta very fast and convenient. I spent every morning relaxing on the boat, enjoying sun on its rooftop and later exploring Malta's attractions. The best combination for the week-long adventure!

One must be clear to you if you want to book this accommodation, it is a real fishing boat which has been converted in a living boat. It is small and narrow BUT BEAUTIFUL. Charles and Daria are wonderful hosts, very attentiv . You won't have the space and comfort of a 5 stars hotel but you'll get the incredible feeling of being out of time and space, you'll land on a small piece of paradise. It is better to travel light to paradise, there is no place for big luggage. It is ideal for a couple who wants to be very closed to each other. Be aware that if the wind picks up you might feel the surge. We loved it and had the most beautiful time on the MS Cutty Jean.

My girlfriend and I stayed for 2 nights at the Cutty Jean, and we absolutely loved it! This was the best part of our stay in Malta!

The contact before our arrival was perfect, anything was detailed explained to us.

Our host picked us up at the marina front.

We got on the boat and were introduced to every part of the ship and to our cabine.

As for our arrival we were greeted with cold beverages and took a sip with the captain on top of the ship with Valetta in plain sight.

After a night stroll we got to sleep in our comfty cabine.

At the morning we were greeted with a lovely breakfast on deck and got to know the other passengers.

The captain ensured that all our needs were fulfilled at anytime. If there would have been a problem, the captain would have taken care of it.

All in all the experience was a modern adventure mixed with romance and a lot of fun. Our host and his wife and also the other guest were lovely company and made our stay unforgettable.

My stay at Ms Cutty Jean was extraordinary. I arrived to Malta on March 22th 2018th, super late at night from Catania, Sicily and Charles was kindly waiting for me at the airport to take me to the boat. I had booked on airbnb for 2 nights only but ended up staying one extra night and having a full day tour around the island with Charles, tour that I absolutely recommend. Daria, Charles' wife made delicious breakfast and dinner to me every day at the boat and during my last evening I even got to meet their kids (On my request, since the whole family lives in their house 10 mins away from the doc) I couldn't recommend me to stay at this boat. Excellent moment shared with the team, fried eggs for breakfast, working into the boat and having a break by jumping over down to the sea. Can’t wait to be there for another trip. I see you soon for sure
