St Julians, Ross Street (in the centre) 🧭 Map
I stayed in this hotel in February 2025 and I was very happy with the service. The room was basic, but clean and quiet - that's all I really need, and the bathroom was very modern and clean, with a decent shower.
The night time receptionist was a very pleasant man who I enjoyed chatting to. He was due to attend a funeral in my home city of Cardiff a few weeks later - I helped him with regards to the...
Stayed here for a few nights, could have probably been worse. We found two thumb-sized cockroaches in our room and we didn't have any warm water coming out of the showers. Even though the breakfast was the same every day, it was good enough to start up your day. Location doesn't really matter on Malta, since everything is packed in pretty tightly. One morning the fire alarm was screaming at us for...
I stayed at this hotel in March 2023. Overall, it’s a solid place. The rooms are a bit older and the furniture didn’t leave the best impression, but everything was clean and functional. A big plus is that the hotel has a gym, which I really appreciated. The food was okay – breakfast wasn’t bad, but nothing special. The staff was excellent – very friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. All in...
Stayed at allegro hotel from the 10th June
to the 20th. Had the best experience in malta. The staff are very friendly and helpful had clean towels everyday even got more towels when needed which was great especially when going to the beach. And staying out in the heat. The breakfast was great something light which is what you need. Can't believe this is only a 3 star it should be atleast a 4
The Allegro Hotel is great value for money: excellent location, friendly staff, clean & reasonably-sized rooms. It's on a fairly quiet side street not far from bars & restaurants, & only about a 5 minute walk from a supermarket (Welbee's) if you cut through Pendergardens residential area. The bus stop that takes you to Valletta & the airport is across the road from the supermarket. There's a construction...
Breakfast is from 7:30 to 9:30 and is quite rich. The location is a few hundred meters from the bus stop from the airport on a slope, and it is very convenient for shopping and eating nearby. The room has a balcony

This was an odd one. It used to be a 5 star hotel, and has the fittings and fixtures to show that, but half is now run as a hostel 🤷🏼♂️ Reading reviews before arriving there are some horror stories. There was an issue with the air con leaking from the ceiling when I first got there, but this was sorted and fine after that. The room was big and pretty nice and the balcony, with a view of Valletta was...
Could have been better. Uk plugs sucks so I had to buy an adapter to charge my phone. The 8bed room has no lockers only a wardrobe. The view is amazing and the bed is comfortable. For the price is recommended
The hostel offers very good accommodation with a very cheap rate. The rooms are spacious and clean. The staff is very polite and confident. I have a very good experience once. Hope to visit again. Maybe because it used to be a hotel, there are much more than an ordinary hostel. The hostel is located by the sea and to various transportation facilities are connected on your demand.

First time in Malta.
The hotel was more expensive than I expected, so I stayed here because it was price-conscious.
I read a lot of reviews and got some information before staying here, but the facilities were as good as I expected (lol).
The room was a little dusty.
The shower had weak water pressure, and the toilet and shower doors were a little broken.
But the location was good and the price was...
The location is perfect! All needed bus stops are in 4min range. Starbucks is just behind a corner, also huge Welbee's supermarket is 5min away by walking.
Breakfast was also really nice and for a 2 star hotel and this price, better value doesn't exist.
The walls are a bit thin and you can hear sometimes people from nearby room or hallway.
I stayed for 7 nights in a row and was upgraded to a quadruple room. However, the room was quite old and a bit dusty. However, the breakfast was good and the price was affordable. The location is outside the bar street at night, which is very lively.
Only the front rooms has balcony and big Windows, otherwise the rooms are small and has tiny window. The refrigerator is old and ineficient , the door barely can be closed . The walls and the carpets are too used , ugly spots on it . It need quick renovation !! The personell is kind ,helpful , they clean the room everyday If You need , change towels and sheets daily .
It was a great budget hotel, super close to St Julian's streets, and with friendly staff, especially the night guys. However, it DOES NOT have Wi-Fi, and I had to spend 50 Euros for my Roaming Data. Thus, when considering this hotel, if you plan to stay at least some hours in the room, calculate how much roaming would you pay per day - and if it results in booking another, more expensive hotel, then...

Amazing stay, staff ! It’s super clean as well :)
Very clean place . Highly recommend
Our second stay at Urban Valley. We were allocated a very large suite and noticed a few missing touches as far as toiletries. Staff were very pleasant throughout.
This hotel was super clean, I originally booked a corner suite room for me and my mum , my husband joined our trip last minute and the receptionist accommodated a family suite which had 2 rooms with double beds, living area and kitchen on the day for extra cost but I was grateful they had offered a bigger room. Stuff are super friendly. Spa was great, you need to make booking in advance as they don...
an impressive experience! Thanks so much to Rose and Maggie for their kindness and help on everything, the room is very clean, people are very friendly and nice. Sunshine, dry grass smell, river bridge and pomegranate won’t be forgotten forever.
A small suggestion is to add more kinds of food for breakfast
Amazing! The whole family love it so much!
Hotel is fine. Location is central but not easily walkable — fine if you have a car. Rooms are somewhat basic but very spacious. Lovely pool. But WIFI is terrible. Door lock was a pain to open — had to keep playing around with the card a few times. Gym is a small room but useable.

Decent Guesthouse
Quirky Guesthouse 100 metres from the waterfront of Sliema. Got all the basics if that is what you want.
Ultimately, 'Cheap and cheerful'. would recommend to the solo traveler just looking for somewhere to sleep and nothing fancy.
We are mother and 9 year old son and we travel a lot. Before booking we read some negative reviews and were curious to understand what we would find. We found a wonderful house that thrilled us, a spacious room with freshly laundered sheets and a fan, always clean bathroom and shower with a washing machine available and a bright kitchen with everything you need. Traveling with a child is not easy if...
Good value not for me
Good sized room and genuine staff. Unfortunately I did not enjoy my experience at this property due to the strange decor.
Now, Five Trees was okay. The bed i had was comfortable, even though the sheets seem very old. A few things I have to say -throwing used toilet paper into a trashbin rather then the toilet doesn‘t really meet my european standards and i found it kind of gross, especially because the bathrooms are shared. At least they are cleaned regularly. - I had the orange room with no AC, just a fan. For me, that...
The house, together with the friendly staff, feels like home. The house is very well maintained (extensively cleaned every day, very fast repairs when necessary, e.g. a power outlet was fixed within a day). The staff is very responsive to requests (or even providing services you didn't request, e.g. providing an extra pillow and an anti-mosquito device).
The room is good for working on a laptop; it...
Our room was spacious (purple room). And the bed was comfortable with clean bedlinen. So that was positive.
But the lock of our room door didn't lock good. The bathrooms were not up to my standards. And i didn't see any staff during my stay.

I stayed in E13 with two friends in March 2026. We booked this with Michael on ***********. In a very central location to Balluta Bay. Beds and couch were all comfortable enough to sleep in & the apartment was clean on arrival. Apartment is as described in photos on ***********. We have to commend the staff attentiveness they arrived within 30 minutes after we accidentally locked ourselves out. Some...
Comfortable apartment, good service, well equipped and it was quite close to every thing, parking in the area wasn't too bad but the place has parking but remember to book it if you need it
Nice and quiet place. Grocery shop at the door steps. Very close to Sliema promenade. Perfect for families with kids.
Very good location. Close to seaside bouleveard, restaurants, cafes and bus stops. Good grocery store on the other side of the street. In the apartment which we were renting (7th floor) there was a issue with water pressure and there was a bit too little natural light as for our taste. Overall, we can recommend though.
I cannot praise Depiro Point enough. I fly out regular for business and always request to stay here through my company. The staff Eloise and Heather are always so friendly and ensure my stay is welcoming and they cannot do enough for me. We are actually becoming friends. Would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for a central location in Malta with staff who will bend over backwards to...
Good size rooms, well equipped kitchen, comfortable bed. Apartment was very clean. As its on a complex can be a little noisy. Ours was top floor so got the sun on the balcony, lower ones probably not so much. Depending on position views may not be much although our rear balcony did have a nice view of St Julian's. Easy walking distance of St Julian's bay and Sliema. Good bus links.

Stayed in the apartment alone and really enjoyed the stay. The suite was very spacious, with a big comfortable bed, huge shower, and good cooking facilities. The location was also ideal, just a 5-minute walk from the...
The room was spacious and comfortable, but the bathroom's exhaust fan was noisy and linked to the light, so I couldn't turn it off independently. Also, I stayed for multiple nights and was disappointed that coffee and towels weren't replenished. While it's a bit far from Valletta, the nearby bus stop made it manageable.
The hotel had some good aspects, but overall the stay was disappointing considering the expectations for the suite category.
Before arriving, I emailed well in advance requesting a room on a higher floor. Unfortunately, this request was completely ignored. Although the suite category I booked extends up to the 5th floor, I was placed on the 2nd floor. The balcony faced very closely toward some run...
Great service and lovely clean room. Very good service from all staff specialy to Ron thanks a lot for your help.
Will surely book again.
Friendly staff and a spacious room. However, you need to be okay with raw concrete ceilings, cold neon lighting (even in the room!), and exposed electrical wires! The facilities were just average: both jacuzzis were closed and the sauna was out of order! All that was left was a very cold outdoor pool (under 18°C), a hammam with only 4 spots, and an indoor pool...
We stayed here for three nights. Overall, the room was good. However, the ceiling was unusual — it had no finish or paint, just bare concrete.
All basic amenities were provided. There was also a dry, dead cockroach that fell out of the cabinet near the ventilation hood. I did not see any live cockroaches, but this moment was unpleasant. Thankfully, it happened on the last day.

The service was good, but the room felt a bit damp.
Large comfortable room. Good air conditioning.
Pool area on the roof was nice, but the bar there is always closed.
Lots of noise, in common with everywhere else in Paceville. During the day it is from construction work, and at night from the partying youths outside. Not the hotel's fault, but did spoil the stay.
A nice modern hotel - close to the marina and an lovely rooftop pool and lounging area.
Central to many restaurants, shopping, coastline.
The area/vicinity is heavily in construction, surrounded by worksites.
The hotel was lovely, clean and very central to the madness of Paceville I don’t think people realise this when booking hotels in the paceville area, one of our party had an extremely grumpy security guard banging on be door after a noise complaint ( it was 7pm an she was on FaceTime with her mum) other than that we had a great time.
Something else to add we where not warned of the building work...

I stayed in the park hotel winter 2017 and at the time there was no issues with hygiene. It's quite central in Sliema with some cheap restaurants nearby. I think at the time the hotel was classed as a four star but it was two at best. Did have a indoor pool and jacuzzi in 2017 which were good. Even a small gym inside which was decent to train in. Overall a lot has changed since but our stay was good
Stayed for 3 nights June 2019
Read a lot of negative reviews about this hotel, not sure why!
Yes the place his a bit dated and probably could do with a touch of paint but my room was clean and comfortable and had all the amenities I needed.
Didn't use the rooftop terrace or pool so can't comment on that, but for £50 a night with breakfast included I can't have any complaints!

We sat in this hotel for 4 nights over the Easter break.
Overall, the room was average with clear signs of wear and tear. Our room was a three star room as opposed to four stars, as it was advertised.
The breakfast was good with a wide selection of omlettes, cheese, salami and coffee.
The staff was polite and always ready to help.
The location is very good as well.
Great Hotel, Great staff, Great location. The staff were very friendly and made me feel very welcome. Breakfast was very good with a good variety .I had my evening meal one night in there and it was the best pizza I have had. Good location. Close to public transport and restaurants. Breakfast was Fab, quite impressed actually. Composed of hot and cold dishes buffet style, with constant refills. The room was okay, with some of the annoying quirks that come with designer hotels that put optics before practicality.
Location quite nice, close to the ferry and bus stops, sea view towards Valetta. A bit noisy though because of traffic directly in front.

Not sure if I’d stay here again.
We had a wonderful stay at Lands End Boutique Hotel! The place is very cozy and perfectly located — an ideal base for exploring Malta and the nearby islands. A nice boutique hotel which is ideally located near to buses and centre of St. Julian’s. Staff are excellent and accommodated our request for a room with a view.
Only downside was the noise from nearby building work and when residents came in late at night. The hallway noise carries.
All in all a good stay despite the rainy weather!
The room was very noisy and too hot, no AC during March month. The hotel offered us a new room but it was even hotter. Despite that service was really good but they couldn’t do anything about the AC. Breakfast was OK, everything else was good. location was perfect.
Good customer service and spot management
Great location, clean and modern rooms, nice stuff. Breakfast wasn’t bad but wasn’t amazing either.

Aside from the cramped location and inconvenient parking (even temporary parking is difficult), it's pretty good. There are many restaurants nearby, and the quality of the dry food is also high, but basically the same dishes are served every day, which can get boring.
