Reviews
The night time receptionist was a very pleasant man who I enjoyed chatting to. He was due to attend a funeral in my home city of Cardiff a few weeks later - I helped him with regards to the location of his hotel and the church, because it was in an area I know well
I tried emailing him afterwards but I didn't hear back. I hope his trip was a pleasant one, albeit under sad circumstances.
In conclusion, this hotel is fine considering the price I paid. I had everything I wanted.
Staff were super friendly and did their best to help us out and explain what was going on and the air conditioning worked just fine.
We are extremely dissatisfied!
to the 20th. Had the best experience in malta. The staff are very friendly and helpful had clean towels everyday even got more towels when needed which was great especially when going to the beach. And staying out in the heat. The breakfast was great something light which is what you need. Can't believe this is only a 3 star it should be atleast a 4
street outside
1st of all the lights above the beds were poorly attached into the wall and one fell on my head while I was sleeping. Same with my roomate.
2. We found some sort of cockroach in our room. We immediatly complained at the front desk. They sprayed our room with some chemicalia but the roaches came back. Gotta give them credit, they tried to help.
3. The rooms had a bad smell that never left the room even with the window opened 24/7.
4. The shower was leaking underneath the glass and the shower was missing a door
5. Our TV didn't come with a remote for a week
Now the things that were actually quite good.
1.The breakfast was quite nice, quite a wide selection of food, bread, decent coffee, all the main kinds like espresso, cafe lungo, cappucino and even tea. Their breakfast was server during reasonable hours which was nice.
2.The rooftop was great. Lots of places to sit on. The pool was quite small but I get it, there wasn't a lot of space to begin with so that makes sense. I'd rate the rooftop like 7/10
3. The Wi-Fi was decent. Not blazing fast but good enough
4. Some of them outlets in our room were universal so I did not need to use my adapter and they even had USB ports. Not all of them though
As students of EF, we know the rules and signs for it being 18 years of age do not give you the right to be rude and aggressive to someone whom render their service to ensure your comfortness.
You were rude, disrespectful, and insultive to the receptionist. We all saw it and heard it, You have a roommate which both of you are responsible for the key to your room telling the receptionist to open the door for you while your room mate is inside and the door is open is worthless, your hidden agenda is to distract her by letting an underage girl coming from the club to pass freely at 3/5am which is against the regulation of the school, Is a hotel not your father house where you can bring in outsiders to and fro.
Respect those who serve you delightfully. You paid to stay doesn't give you the orderness to insult a staff despite all your dramas she remains Calm and polite to you. You were so lucky my roommates held me back .. You wanted to play a dirty game on her as a professional she out smart you, and now you want to be the white victim.
I personally and the rest of the students respect her calmness and empathy and appreciate her extraordinary service.. taking care of the sick students, buying tea and water with her owe money, and giving us pads and tampons at late night, ensuring everyone is okay. Don't be a ..
to think she is sleeping, She monitors the surroundings and ins and outs of all her guest to ensure their safety through the camera's. Out of all the receptionists, she is the only best and most professional with excellent service.
To the lovely night receptionist, thank you for your services and the time you gave to make us stay comfortable.
So let start with that I wouldn't end up in a hotel like this by my own choice, but my flight was cancelled at 2 am in the morning and somehow airline decided that this is an appropriate accommodations for people who couldn't get home. It isn't it.
Yes I get the building is old, but seriously, the first thing once electricity was up in the room - the noise which is coming from some kind of form of AC. The receptionist answer to it "you get used to it and won't notice". The second one which got me out of the room - massive cockroach in the middle of the room. I have a fobia, but i mean also if you don't, what kind of place is this when hotel stuff thinks it s okay to have a thumb size insect in the room and then to make fun of you? Receptionist went up, sprayed something in the room, came back and started laughing, saying "I didn't see anything, you probably scared it away, I sprayed, so it s going to die, you can go in the room".
Couldnt get out of there fast enough...
Because of this situation was forced to look for another hotel at 4 am in the morning 🤦🏼♀️
Before I get accused of lying - I have a video of roach accompanied by the horrible sounded ventilation.
Do not recommend even if you re on the budget.
