Ocean V Hotel in Pereybere

At first glance, the front of Ocean V Hotel may not make the best impression. When we arrived by bus and saw the building from the street, we were honestly a bit worried. However, nothing could be further from the truth — this hotel turned out to be absolutely wonderful.

Our room was very spacious, with a comfortable and well-sized bathroom. Everything was kept in excellent condition, and the room was cleaned twice a day, which we truly appreciated.

One of the biggest highlights of this hotel is the rooftop on the third floor. You reach it by elevator, and the moment the doors open, you are greeted by a breathtaking ocean view. It truly takes your breath away. On the rooftop, there is both a bar and the hotel restaurant, where we had our breakfasts and dinners.

The service there is simply exceptional. From pulling out chairs, placing napkins on our laps, to constantly taking care of every small detail — we were treated like royalty. One waiter even told us that since we were on holiday, we should not pour water ourselves, and that he would happily take care of it for us. This level of attention and kindness was truly special.

The food deserves special recognition. The quality is outstanding — comparable to top-class restaurants. The presentation is beautiful, the flavors are excellent, and every meal felt like a fine dining experience. Breakfasts were served as a buffet, beautifully presented, fresh, and delicious. Dinners were à la carte and equally impressive. The drinks at the bar were also very well prepared and enjoyable.

Although the hotel is not located directly on the beach, the beach is just across the street and only about a five-minute walk away. It is a public beach, but absolutely stunning and very beautiful — definitely a big advantage of this location.

Another great benefit is the proximity to Grand Baie, which is only a few minutes away by taxi. It is a charming town with lovely shops, restaurants, and a great atmosphere.

The entire staff at Ocean V is incredibly friendly, helpful, and welcoming. They were always ready to assist us with ordering taxis, giving advice on excursions, and recommending places to visit. We always felt well taken care of.

We would also like to mention the fantastic hotel manager, who is very visible, approachable, and genuinely involved in making sure guests have a great stay. His presence and dedication truly make a difference.

Ocean V is not a large beach resort, but it is a hotel that absolutely deserves recognition for its quality, service, and atmosphere. It offers comfort, excellent food, stunning views, and outstanding hospitality.

We highly recommend this hotel and would gladly return in the future. It was a truly wonderful start to our stay in Mauritius. 💙

We were upgraded to a suite for free, which we couldn't be happier about! The breakfasts were excellent, and the service was top-notch, always eager to help. When we asked for a pineapple to be cut up, the staff noticed ours was already spoiled and offered us theirs! I would definitely come back!

Finally the rooms are good and spacious, however the sound proofing is poor and made our stay a bit uncomfortable at times as the noise from outside or room next door is loud/clearly heard.

Exceptional Stay at Ocean V Hotel
We recently had a fantastic stay at the Ocean V Hotel, and I can't recommend it highly enough. From the moment we arrived, the entire staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful, setting a wonderful tone for our whole trip.
The environment of the hotel is absolutely lovely—clean, relaxing, and beautifully designed. Beyond the great atmosphere, the food was consistently nice, with a good variety of well-prepared dishes that we thoroughly enjoyed.
What truly elevated our experience was the exceptional service we received from specific team members.
* Bar Service: A special thank you to Suraj and Rahul Kumar at the bar. Their service was outstanding. They were attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure our drinks were perfect and that we felt taken care of throughout the evening.
* Food Service: In the dining areas, Aditya and Raven were brilliant. Their dedication to providing helpful and nice food service made every meal a pleasure. They were efficient, professional, and always served with a genuine smile.
The combination of a beautiful setting, great food, and a team that genuinely cares, made this a memorable stay. We look forward to returning!

Had a most relaxing time here at the Ocean V Hotel must say we found all the members of staff so welcoming, polite respectful and nothing was too much bother going out of their was to make our stay as comfortable as possible and they just did that, well done to all of you for making our stay into a super relaxing holiday. Must say that management also played a significant part in making this holiday really great by sorting out some minor problems then everything just fell in place and because a great holiday thank you so much. Accommodation is so comfy, every where is so clean and rooms are cleaned every day. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room with a mini bar fridge. Also such a great selection of food to choose from each day you will be spoiled for choice, would certainly recommend this hotel without a doubt. Thank you so much for making our holiday so enjoyable and so many happy memories we will take away with us.

Very nice hotel, with fantastic staff. Worth to add the money to have dinner included, very much worth the money, the tuna is to die for....

Very nice, food and staff is fantastic. A quiet area, but 2-3 minutes by buss take you to Gran Baie, slightly more busy. To go to the nice beach just across from the hotel, there is a bit of rockclimbing, but worth it.

The location is good in terms of the city nearby.
The location is bad in terms of street. It is directly on the Main Street, rooms facing the street. The windows do not seal the noise very well, so there is a constant noise since the early morning from cars and public bus.
There is no direct beach access, but a public beach nearby.
There is a nice rooftop pool (same as restaurant is on rooftop), but also can be a little windy.
