Food offering superb.
Service also very good.
However, some rooms (we were in a Prestige Beachfront) need attention and maintenance has been cut. For example both bathroom basins had chips, damp areas in ceilings. In the room, USB points one side of the bed weren't working (maintenance did replace) and AC would not adjust to temperature setting. This resulted in a constant 19-20C (too cold!) which maintenance did very best to improve. The controls were however 20 years old, with only the AC unit itself having been replaced.
Fabulous beach 15 metres from the room which had a nice patio.
What a shame proper expenditure on maintenance and fittings is so lacking.
I would blame top management & cost thereof which, looking at the Constance board appears 'top heavy'.
Special mention for lovely staff, especially Asha, Duheer in the Citronelle and Arianne (security).
We were treated to a delicious 'romantic' meal in La Spiagga in light of the room problems for which a big thank you to Susanna!

From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth, professionalism, and genuine Mauritian hospitality. A heartfelt thank you to Vinod (Housekeeping) and Kissoon (Housekeeping) for maintaining our room impeccably throughout our stay. Every day we returned to a spotless, beautifully arranged room — your attention to detail did not go unnoticed.
A special thank you as well to Adasha (Restaurant) for the exceptional service, birthday cake and kindness shown to us during our meals. Your friendly smile and attentiveness made every dining experience even more enjoyable.
We would also like to sincerely thank Mutty, Mauzeer, and Ashvina for their dedication, professionalism, and warm service. Each of you contributed to making our holiday relaxing and memorable.

Beautiful hotel with beach front Junior suites. We were on the second floor with a beautiful sea view. Waking up to that everyday was the best. Few mix up at the buffet restaurant with tables taken/ not taken that resulted in embarrassing situations for us as clients, having to move with plates in hand after already sitting down. It was during their peak season. However most staff are friendly, agreeable and helpful. Food was great at the buffet for breakfast and dinner. Lots of options and availabilities. We tried one of the in house restaurants, Blue Penny Cellar and it was amazing. The service at the pools could improve, but maybe they just prefer people to eat at the restaurants. My daughter loved the little perks that the kids get.

A bit late on the review but me and my husband went on our honeymoon here back in April 2025 and it was beautiful. The place is stunning and staff were absolutely lovely and so helpful and professional! The room was amazing! Till this day it was the best hotel we stayed at! I would 100% recommend this hotel and I would come back to this hotel again! Also the scenery, the rooms, activities were amazing! Thank you for an amazing stay!

I recently stayed at Constance Belle Mare Plage, and the experience was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. From the very moment we arrived, the welcome was warm, genuine, and truly memorable.
What made our stay extra special was the beautiful attention to detail. The team surprised us with a cake, lovely room decorations beautifully done by Sylvana, and even a tote bag, which was such a thoughtful and heartwarming gesture. A special mention as well to Babita, who was very welcoming.
The staff were incredibly kind, caring, and attentive throughout our stay. I’ve been to other hotels where there can sometimes be a noticeable disparity between tourists and Mauritians, but at Constance Belle Mare Plage, there was absolutely no difference at all. Everyone was treated equally, with the same level of respect, warmth, and kindness. Their way of welcoming guests is truly exceptional and made us feel genuinely comfortable and appreciated.
The rooms were spotless, well-maintained, and very comfortable. The food was amazing, with a top-notch buffet offering great variety and quality at every meal. The cocktails were delicious, and a special mention to the bar team !
The only small downside was that the weather wasn’t the best during our stay, but even that didn’t take away from how amazing the experience was, we still had a really great time.

From the moment I arrived in the hall, I knew I was in heaven. This hotel is outstandingly beautiful. It’s pure luxury. It’s so peaceful. We stayed for 5 nights. The buffet breakfast and dinner are delicious and the choice and quality simply amazing. Not to mention the staff who are so professional and friendly. You can tell that they really go out of their way to make sure your stay is everything you dreamed of. I can’t wait to return again.

This resort is unparalleled. Though pricey, worth every penny, great value ! The golf courses are unbelievably beautiful. So much to do, rooms beautiful and spacious. Food great with numerous options.

We recently stayed at Constance Belle Mare and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. We were on half board, and everything was top-notch… food, service, atmosphere.
Our room was large, beautifully designed, filled with natural light.
The staff throughout the hotel were mostly warm, smiling, and attentive.
The only thing that left a bit to be desired was our arrival experience. After three long flights (Vancouver → Montreal → Paris → Mauritius), we arrived early in the morning and were hoping to have access to the breakfast buffet while waiting for check-in. Unfortunately, we were told that we didn’t have access to the buffet unless we paid extra.
On previous trips to Mauritius, at hotels of similar standing (for instance, Shandrani Beachcomber), we were graciously offered complimentary access to the breakfast buffet upon early arrival. It’s a very small gesture but one that makes a big difference after 30 hours of travel.
That being said, I have to mention this: a very kind customer agent eventually brought us croissants and coffee because they needed us to move to a different spot to make place for other arriving clients. We deeply appreciated the gesture here.
But still, considering the amount of food that typically goes to waste in large resorts, offering early-arriving guests buffet access would be such a thoughtful touch. It would align perfectly with the hotel’s otherwise excellent service standards.
Overall, a wonderful stay in every other respect. We would definitely consider returning.
