Also the second stay at Shangri-La Le Touessrok was absolutely exceptional and truly unforgettable.

We arrived early, well before check-in time, and were warmly welcomed by the staff and kindly invited to enjoy breakfast while everything was being prepared. Shortly afterwards, we were already able to move into our room — a level of hospitality that immediately made us feel valued and relaxed.

The resort itself is stunningly located, surrounded by breathtaking scenery, with beautiful private beaches, immaculate pool areas, and a peaceful, luxurious atmosphere throughout. The rooms are modern, spotless, and very comfortable, offering the perfect retreat after a day in paradise.

The food was outstanding — diverse, fresh, and consistently of the highest quality. Every meal felt special. What truly sets this hotel apart, however, is the staff: every single member of the team was attentive, professional, and genuinely friendly, always going the extra mile to ensure guests feel welcome and cared for.

We enjoyed our stay so much that we didn’t even consider looking for another hotel. In fact, we are returning this February for the third year in a row — which says everything about how much we love this place.

Highly recommended for anyone seeking luxury, warmth, and an unforgettable experience in Mauritius. 🌴✨

We had an wonferful week at this resort. The staff couldn't do enough, they looked after us so well and kept us relaxed. The food was great, especially Coco's Beach Bar for Breakfast & Lunch but the highlight was Safran, delicious Indian cooking!
We really enjoyed visiting both Illot Mangenie & Ile aux Cerfs.The hotel runs a boat every 20mins to these islands, great service! You can walk from Illot Mangenie to ile aus Cerfs and get the boat back, highly recommend!

We stayed at this hotel for five nights and had an exceptional experience. The hotel offers what is arguably the best beach in Mauritius, complete with its own private island and a wide range of activities, so there’s truly no need to leave the property.

The rooms are very spacious, spotlessly clean, and extremely comfortable, making our stay even more enjoyable. The food was delicious, and everything throughout the hotel was immaculate. The pool area deserves special mention as well—amazing, cozy, and perfectly designed for relaxation at any time of the day.

What truly stood out was the professionalism of the staff and management. When we mentioned a minor inconvenience related to an incident, the team immediately stepped in and handled the situation with remarkable care and professionalism.

The level of staff management here is outstanding—one of the best we’ve experienced. Every hotel we’ve reviewed in the past could learn from the way this hotel’s team operates. They genuinely made us feel at home, which is why we are 100% certain we will be coming back.

Special mention goes to the two head managers and everyone working at the Coco restaurant. We enjoyed the most beautiful views and received exceptional hospitality during both breakfast and dinner.

One you enter through the gates of the hotel, you drive through the 2 km road across the green scenery, you are already in holiday mode - the beauty of the forest already is an prologue of the luxury you are about to embark on. When you reach its main entrance, you are made welcome like a royalty with a big celebratory gong and the smile and wise words of the front staff - Jean Marc - plus his iced tea. We were at the hotel for two nights and the staff were so attentive to this milestone, they left personal touches in the room with cake, sweets, wines, champagne and hand made message on the bed. We were in awe. We had a 6 year old and we couldn’t say enough thank you to Brigitte and her team of superwomen who look after our son and his friends, they kept them busy whole day with mini olympics games, swimming, tennis and other sports activities. We didn’t hear a single complaint, we were even forced to use more of their facilities. Full 10 marks to Brigitte and kids clubs. Big thank you to Nicolle and Jauhan who looks after us with special attention to our son whose super allergies at TSK and Illot Mangenie. They were top notch professionals - when we had special requests, they made it happen. Thank you. The front desk with Vijesh, Michael at Concierge were amazing - any issues with the room or sorting out golf tee time, they were maestros. The only improvement I would say is around the sea activities- we would prefer more interaction during glass bottom, we weren’t provided enough info about the location of the lagoon and the species. Overall, this hotel fully deserves all the kudos they received and we will definitely be back. Merci Touessrok.

Very warm and welcoming hotel. We have stayed five times and will definitely be back. What makes the hotel truly special is the team, who care deeply about the service they provide. Our youngest son has special dietary requirements, and Chef Bobby did everything to make sure he always had the right food. A big shout-out to the staff at Cocos: Martine, Antoine, Poinen and Shabnum. The ladies at breakfast at TSK were also wonderful, providing outstanding service every morning. The managers on duty always checked in to make sure everything was going well. We felt very well looked after. The hotel has a private island with beautiful beaches and a great team. Johanne welcomed us warmly each time we visited. We used the kids’ club regularly; it has great facilities, a variety of activities, and a lovely team. The hotel offers a good variety of restaurants. Cocos and Kushi were favourites during our last stay.

The hotel is nothing short of amazing.
- food is incredible. All restaurants are great, even the buffet which has themed nights (Arabic, Italian, Pan Asian, etc) with the highness quality food.
- the service is brilliant, nothing is too much trouble, they are super accommodating
- we travelled as a family and they were super child friendly. Equally, when we left our daughter in the kids club, the adults pool was quiet and lovely.
- the kids club does great activities - fishing, crab hunt, henna tattoos, you name it. It is the first time ever my daughter wants to stay and keeps asking to return
- the beach is wonderful, they have a very big stretch of sand and lots of water sports are available (complimentary) which was great fun in the lagoon
- the private island is only 5 minutes away and it is such a quiet, wonderful place.

Highly recommend it and we will definitely be back!
