An amazing stay at Shanti Resort & Spa! Beautiful villa, perfectly maintained grounds, and excellent food with great restaurant variety. The service is truly outstanding — our butler Kanen took incredible care of us and fulfilled every wish. We stayed with our two young children and the kids club is fantastic (even for very small kids, and free from age 3). The beach is ideal for children with calm, shallow water; for proper swimming, the pool is the best option. One moment we’ll never forget: on our way back from dinner it started raining, and a staff member suddenly appeared with an umbrella — these small details are remarkable. We will definitely come back!

I am truly so impressed with the staff. Each one of them, from Dr Tiwari at the spa all the way to the F&B team, each one are so full of grace and hospitality. I am honored to join as a member. Our stay at Shanti Maurice was exceptional. The resort is serene and elegant, surrounded by beautifully maintained greenery, with impeccable cleanliness and a delicate, distinctive scent present throughout the property, enhancing the overall sense of calm.
The room was spacious and refined, with thoughtful details such as bathrobes in different sizes and high-quality amenities, including for children. The atmosphere is calm, refined, and understated. The staff were outstanding: warm, attentive, and discreet. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of fresh, high-quality options.
An ideal place for tranquility, elegance, and impeccable service. We would gladly return.

Overall, I had a pleasant stay at this hotel. The place is clean and comfortable, although it is starting to show its age. There are many newer hotels now that feel more modern, but this one still offers a good experience.

The staff deserve special mention the hospitality is good, and the workers are very welcoming and friendly, which really adds to the stay. One small area for improvement is the reception. At times, it was hard to reach them by phone, and on a few occasions when they did answer, they didn’t have all the information and said they would call back, but the follow-up didn’t always happen.

The food was definitely a highlight. The seafood was excellent, the Indian food was great, and the Shanti Burger is absolutely on fire (highly recommended).

The nature around the hotel is beautiful, with lots of greenery and a very relaxing landscape that really adds to the atmosphere.

Many people say there are a lot of bugs in Mauritius, but I personally didn’t see any inside the hotel. I did get a few mosquito bites, even though I didn’t actually see them, which is something to keep in mind.

All in all, a nice stay with friendly service, beautiful surroundings, and great food, with just a few small areas that could be improved.

Hotel room - we stayed in a villa with a private pool, excellent with great views, however the jacuzzi was not working and they didn't really address the issue or compensate when it was brought to the employees at the start and end of the stay.

Feet on the sands for dinner was an experience, a lot of food. However, the cook on the steak was not as requested. It was the first item we took of the grill to taste. We had an experience with lizard on the table and swapped to another one, hoping they could spray a detterant to avoid bugs crawling while having dinner.

Bar was excellent, we were served nice cocktails and would recommend the person (Mr.V) who served us.

Spa is definelty recommended. Yogesh did a good job overall with multiple types of treatments.

Overall experience would've been good if they addressed or compensated for the Jacuzzi issue when it was brought to them. The maintenance was already aware of it, yet it wasn't mentioned upfront.

For a 5 star hotel, I feel employees aren't empowered to make certain decisions and need management's involvement. They had 3 chances to make it right.

A very nice hotel; I woke up to the sound of waves crashing on the shore every day. Most of the staff were warm and hospitable. My only complaint was the slow housekeeping. I left at 9 am, hung up a "clean house please" sign, and returned at 3 pm with the room still not cleaned. I refused their offer to clean it; I needed to rest. The hotel has a main restaurant serving Japanese, Arabic, Thai, and Indian cuisine. There are also three small open-air restaurants—called restaurants, but they're basically just outdoor spaces with large parasols and coconut leaves for light rain protection. These restaurants offer American, Malaysian, and beach barbecue. Whether you have two or three meals, each person's spending cannot exceed 4000 rupees (RMB 620.00). Anything exceeding this is your own responsibility. Generally, an appetizer soup costs 800 rupees, and a main course is around 1200-1500 rupees. Thai food is the cheapest. If you don't have a big appetite, 2000 rupees should be enough. If you want dessert, it might cost an additional 600-800 rupees. For those with smaller appetites, I recommend booking the hotel including breakfast; you can order other dishes yourself. With a 10% tip, a meal for two should cost around 600-800 RMB. The sunset view from the hotel balcony is also very beautiful.
