The Westin Guadalajara in Guadalajara

This hotel does not have heating in the rooms.I repeat: there is no heating in any room of this hotel. Only cooling AC. Consider how will you endure Guadalajara's 10.ºC (50. F) nights in winter. If you are ok with cold, this is for you. Also, no fridge in my room. How this hotel has four stars baffles me.

My door lock was compromised. The screws were cut in the locking mechanism. The top screw fell out and the bottom one did as well once I wiggled the door lock gently. You can see in the pic the screw is cut very very short almost to the top so they’re hanging in one thread in the door. When I brought this to the attention of the hotel they said they’d fix immediately. I asked if they could fix right away because I had to leave soon and did not want my room to be unsecured they said they would. I came back at 2 pm and my door was not fixed.

If they did not plan to fix it right away they should have given me a new room.

By that evening there were signs in the hotel for mandatory room maintenance or security inspection for every room. I am not sure if this had to do with my issue.

It made me feel u safe as a woman who travels alone and upsets me that this was not handled immediately or appropriately.

Food was good overall and the staff in the restaurants were fantastic. That is the o ly reason for 2 stars.

The rooms were small, the showers need a serious mildew removal. One evening there was no hot water.

It is convenient to the convention hall, but it is not the best hotel in the area by far.
