The hotel was nice enough. The room was large and nicely equipped. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was good with a nice big shower. Our room had a window into a car park, but thankfully it wasn't noisy. The wifi was reliable and fast.
The location is awesome, not even 5 minutes to Zocalo.
For one night it was great.

The location is poor, on the farther outskirts of the city center. The elevator did not work during our stay.The room was small with NO decor of any type on the walls. There was no coffee maker in the room (as described in the ******* listing). The bathroom toilet was cracked on top, and clogged easily. Mirror in bathroom was rusting out with spots marring the surface. Towels, although large, were extremely scratchy. Shower temperature was lukewarm, at best. Our room was streetside, and was very noisy all night. The "fitness center" only had two treadmills, and the room doubled as a storage room for mattresses.

Air conditioning did work. The staff was friendly, but had limited English speaking skills. They did try hard to answer questions, but it was a good thing I speak some Spanish. The room was cleaned with fresh bedding daily. The little cafe next to the hotel was nice, with very good and reasonable prices, and very friendly service. We were glad it was there as the hotel itself did not offer any meals.

The only reason I gave it 2 stars (instead of 1) is that the price for our 5 night stay was very reasonable. But if we were to vist Merida again, we would definitely choose another hotel, even at a higher room rate.

The hotel looks really nice also decorations are pretty good but there were a couple of flaws. Room was too narrow, shower smelled of moisture. My room was facing the road and the noise was too high, especially in the night. We stayed for only one night

The room was smelling mold. The walls were wet and moldy, ragged. Rooms did not have any special view of the city. Breakfast was poor, had no speciality. The only positive feature is the location of the hotel, but I would advice to spend time to find a better hotel, located at a similar distance to the centrum.

The only positive aspect is the location, which is excellent. The property should not be considered a 4-star hotel. It’s outdated, and our room didn’t have a mini-fridge and the Sink was leaking.
Our experience was terrible as we were woken up at 6 a.m. by the front desk knocking persistently on our door. The reason? “Your car is double-parked in our private lot, and a guest needs to leave.” I replied that we had parked correctly, but they insisted it needed to be moved as it was blocking someone. I quickly got dressed, went downstairs, and they had made a mistake—the car to be moved wasn't ours! No apologies for waking us up so early.

Pool in central courtyard area good size and depth to swim diametrically across or around. I did see the staff cleaning it in the morning but by early evening there were a fair number of leaves floating. Corridor outside room door big puddle(they overwatered the pot plant!!).Cleaning staff removed all my towels and did not replace. Had to request toilet roll to replenish. The cleaning team were pleasant and sorted it out ,no major issue ,and sign language understood by all! Only one staff member spoke English. Rooms adequate, not spectacular but everything needed Breakfast served ,on request, at the adjoining coffeeshop/bar. Not very imaginative but was prepared fresh . Central location for exploration on foot, immediately surrounding roads a little run down but small cafes, two theatres and cathedral area very near. Stayed two nights at end of a group tour.

Good but....
Okay, the location was walkable to everything we wanted to see. It was clean and the staff was exceptional. Overall are really nice hotel. It was our first stay in Merida so we have nothing to compare it to. I will say overlooking the street was absolutely terrible. It was constant buses and lines of people waiting for the buses and you couldn't walk down the street. The buses ran all hours of the night and it was exceptionally loud. Like way too loud. We were on the third floor and you could also hear the kids in the pool late at night. The pool was supposed to close at 8:00 but it definitely did not when we were there. Between the shrieking and the motorcycles and the buses and being unable to walk on the road that was the only reason this is getting the rating it is. I really want to rate it higher. Also, as a side note, we had a sweet with a kitchenette but there was no fridge? There's a microwave in a sink and a dining table but no fridge. Not helpful to bring back leftovers if you're staying for a while. Also, there are no hand towels in the bathroom so basically you're using your bath towels all the time.

Located on the top floor right underneath the aircon units. Loud humming all night. Asked to change rooms, best they could come up with was swap with Tour Leader. Have offered room changes following day. Breakfast was pancakes or pancakes. Even offered more pancakes when moved tables to talk to a fellow traveller. 4 people in restaurant at the time. Rooms are shabby and just a feeling of general apathy from the staff.

We stayed on a group tour. This is clean functional hotel. We had large room with two queen beds and large shower room. Really efficient air con. Good shower room with hot water. The breakfast in the morning was tasty cheese omelette with the usual refried beans and very lightly toasted white bread with jam provided. Coffee ok. There is a swimming pool in the hotel we did not use it. The big bonus for this hotel is location as it is only a 5 min walk to Zocalo/ Grande Plaza

They need to change the manager at night here. She's very argumentative with the customers. The rest of the staff is a delight. I actually feel sorry for the staff to have to work under someone like her.
