Incredible value. This boutique-style hotel features a charming courtyard, lounge chairs and hammocks for lounging, and a refreshing pyramid-shaped pool. Clean rooms and wonderful staff. Nice restaurants and shops nearby, and an easy walk to two attractions and the Zocalo.

Daily street closures limited the access to Hotel entrance. Making it very inconvenient & difficult to gain access to & from the Hotel.
We are so glad we did not rent a vehicle. Daily Uber dropped us off two blocks

Staff took 20 minutes to talk to us at the registration. There were two ladies at the reception area looking at the PC. Our bedroom’s bathroom had mold and was not very clean there were hair’s o. The floor. Towels were worn and thorn.

I have no words to describe the service and cleanliness of Los Aluxes. After having a nightmare at another hotel, (which by the way I lost a ton of money but will report it for giving misleading information) I was able to quickly book Hotel Los Aluxes and within a fe minutes and a call to the hotel they welcome us and made us feel at home! THANK YOU TO ALL THE STAFF AT HOTEL LOS ALUXES!!!

It's near the plaza's food and clothing district, has an elevator and air conditioning, and the bathroom has ample water. Breakfast is included, but not large. The restaurant staff are very friendly.

Check-in is not until 3 PM, there's no luggage porter, the Wi-Fi is average, there's no toilet paper or body lotion, the bed is average length, the air conditioner/generator is noisy, and bottled water was only provided on the first day. Traffic restrictions on Sundays prevented taxis from reaching the hotel entrance.

However, because Mérida is by far my favorite city in Mexico, I give it a higher rating.

Floor not clean, bathrooms doesn't work, showers terrible, jacuzzi doesn't work and dirty.
Administration didn't resolve for a better room. They gave me similar.
Service in the restaurant Excellent. Excellent actitud . The Hotel its actually Diferent.

One of the worst hotels in Merida, building with no maintenance, no hot water. I need to ask for some basics like soap & toilet paper! The only good thing about the hotel is the swimming pool and its location. It used to be one of the best hotels in Merida 18 years ago but not anymore.

Not sure how this place gets so many great reviews, but we did not care for it. We went there on a Sunday, and had their buffet (the only thing they offered that day) for about 150 pesos (about $6.50 USD). For a cafe, they had pretty mediocre coffee, but they did have pretty good orange juice. The buffet offerings were not much better than the coffee, and nothing was very hot, which made me worry about food safety, since everything seemed to be in that lukewarm danger zone. The menudo tasted like it would have been good if hot, as did the pork. Otherwise, it was all pretty bad. The service was OK, but considering there were four staff with about as many occupied tables, I would have preferred not to have to ask for coffee refills. All in all, I would skip this place, at least when they have the buffet.

Service was exceptional, food was decent but the portion was incredibly small. I got the ravioli and they give you 5 small ravioli peices. I don't think you could have even consider it an appetizer it was so small. Definitely not worth the price.

Pasta was alright. Pizza was not. Far from it. On top of things they basically impose a 15% tip. Not trying to be cheap here, but in Mexico you are free to add as much tip as you like and considering that the pizza was sub-par I found 15% excessive. Attentive service, but overpriced food.
