Where to stay in Chisinau

A decent hotel for one night. But the cleanliness of the rooms needs more attention.

The facilities are good and the cleaning is clean, and most importantly, the staff are always smiling, which makes me feel good. I hope you prosper and that I will come back to this hotel. I recommend it.

Staying one night is ideal. The price is low. Nearby is a grocery store.

The hotel is very nice and relatively close to the city centre. The main drawback of the hotel is that it is tightly enclosed by other block of flats and therefore you better avoid to look out of the window. Ok Hotel but ridiculous Breakfast Location is convenient for the station. The room is really clean but what really annoyed me was the lack of a basic coffee machine for breakfast. Just Nescafé sachets is simply not good enough for a hotel.

This hotel is OK. The room and bar area was clean and I was offered a free glass of wine which was very enjoyable. What they don't tell you is that reception is on the 4th floor and there are no lifts in the building, so you have to carry bags up anywhere from 1 to 5 levels. There is also no food available in the evenings, but several restaurants are within 10 mins walk.

We recently stayed for a couple of nights, and had a great experience. The location was easy to find, the rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff were very helpful. It is up some stairs, but this wasn't an issue and the staff offered to carry our bags up. Nice small hotel in the more north of the city. Easy access to trolley buses nearby so very easy to get to the city center. Very comfortable bed and very good AC! Also they offer one glass of wine for free once a day. I can recommend this place!

Although it was a little far from the center, the hotel was clean and had a good breakfast.

Hotel was fine thanx. Only problem was that there was no water at all for a few hours.. basin or toilet.. When it finally came on again the water out of the tap was initially brown! The free glass of wine was appreciated and nice! Helpful staff. Breakfast was nice too :)

Everything good except TV doesn’t worked

The rooms were average, but the staff kept the hotel very clean. The food however was horrible, breakfast eggs were absolutely cold and had to be the worse pumpkin soup in Moldova ( but still charged top restaurant prices)

The hotel was quite empty when i was there except for the natural clay tennis courts which were quite busy. They served us few guests in their giant dining room. Food was good; breakfast quite scant. (this is supposedly a 5 star) Individual service is good. If comoing from the airport, arrance for them to get you a taxi (and going back...generally under $5 US. Never grab a taxi at the airport...

5 stars?! No way. Old, stinky carpet, anti sanitary, mould on the wall, no bath, just portable douche cabin from supermarket. The only advantage is proximity to the airport I arrived at 3 am, missed breakfast, they offered me apples ( for payment).

Great stay! Staff were absolutely lovely, and let me check in very early and even arranged a taxi to the airport the next morning (which is about 100 lei for anyone wondering), and they were very happy and polite with good English skills. All in all, a very nice hotel with very reasonable prices in a very good location.

This place once being the top soviet hotel is now old and shabby, and that's the reason I liked to stay there: For the truly soviet experience! Everything may look old but nothing is broken. AC works, beds were very comfortable, room was clean and the staff was extremely friendly. Though don't expect too much from the breakfast as it is very basic and served cold. Enjoyed my stay alot.

Rooms were okay for sleeping. Pick this hotel if you want to have a real Soviet experience. Also the reception were amazing! They called us a taxi for a local winery and even called again to get the tour earlier in order for us to be able to make our train!

If you come from the West and are curious about how Soviet hotels felt like, this is the place. And it doesn't mean it's bad; it just ain't the Radisson! The rooms are clean, the linen of good quality cotton, the breakfast is very good if you know what to choose or ask for and the staff is the kindest and most helpful you could dream of. The location is great. And finally, it is dirt cheap!

The best options for lastminute.com Good room, clean bathroom with several towels, decent location - which is literally across the Rose Valley park. Quick check-in, self service (intercontinental breakfast) - a decent car park outside and underground. Very polite and helpful receptionists and staff. Definitely recommend for those who are looking for a cheap bargain.

A decent hotel, a 10-minute drive from the airport. We stayed for one night before our flight. Clean and spacious room. Friendly staff. Free Wi-Fi. Small underground parking is free. Quiet rooms. Definitely worth the money.

Savoy hotel is, somewhat, relic but pleasant one.

These people are so kind. I had business in the neighborhood and needed help getting to a hotel in another part of town. Olga was so helpful helping me get a taxi and get out of the heat in the meantime — even though I wasn’t a guest. I hope I have future travel here so I can stay at this hotel!

Great hotel located near the embassy. Able to walk to a lot of things. Front desk people were super accommodating and the rooms were very spacious. Also had a variety of breakfasts to choose from that were all really good.

I missed absence of gym/fitness room. After long haul, relaxing in gym would be perfect. Minus that I liked the stay, the environment and the receptionist were eager to help.

The facilities are new, rooms are large enough. Inside the room has everything needed but … Closet has no shelves. There is no tea/coffee option in the room. The isolation is bad, I heard every conversation in the corridor. Breakfast is very poor, there is literally no muesli or anything similar. No gym.

The biggest issue with this hotel is that several of the rooms have no curtains. So very early in the morning, you'll get super bright daylight! We've complained about it and they gave us a different room, which we initially thought didn't have that problem but... we unfortunately noticed later it was the same! The cleanliness and service are very good. The hotel is located a little far from the city center, so you will need to take a bus to go sightseeing. There are supermarkets and restaurants near the hotel, so you can spend the day there.

The hotel/hostel was very nice and clean; the staff were friendly and helpful. Except for one thing: there was an annoying noise heard in my room at night. The water pipes were vibrating and making noises, making it difficult to fall asleep.

The rooms are very nice, much better than I expected for a three-star hotel. The bed was really comfortable, and everything was very clean. The only unpleasant part was at check-in. There was a blonde lady (I think she works in the restaurant) who was sitting at the reception. We had a great weekend in Chisinau and loved staying at Hotel Plai. The hotel is recently renovated and the rooms are clean and stylish. The bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed the breakfast as well. We also found the location very convenient and we could easily walk to lots of places in the city. I would definitely recommend Hotel Plai if you are coming to Chisinau

Stayed at hotel Plai for 3 nights with a friend and really enjoyed it. It's easy to locate and about a 15 minute walk to the main strip. The restaurant downstairs was excellent and always really busy and the coffee shop next door was great , there is also a fairly big super market down the street. The room was clean and comfortable and check in was easy and quick. I would definitely return here

One of the very few Hotels located in this part of the Chisinau yet no more than 10 minutes from the center by bus. If you have heavy bags, there is no lift but the helpful staff offered to carry them.

I only stayed here for one night but I truly enjoyed the experience. The facilities are great for a 3-star hotel. The room was spacious, clean and very well equiped. The only staff member I got to meet was a gentleman at reception who was very polite, patient and helpful. I will definitely come back one day.

Building need major updates..My room was large but starting from door locks, bathroom, carpets all need updates.There was no blanket in my room I have asked to receptionist but they probably not understand what was I asking about? Need update and fix the bathroom shower was tricky ; hot water coming after 10-15 minutes and no pressure in the morning??..

Staff were very helpful and courteous at all times. Free tea, coffee and biscuits were always available. Although it is not close to the centre it is close to bus routes taking you there.

One thing this hotel has that many don't is easy access to electrical outlets. It's clean, professional staff and includes breakfast for a very reasonable price. Bathrooms are huge too.

No slippers, no water heater or coffemachine in the room, no microwave, thin walls, TV with glitches. Yet has a very basic level of comfort and good location. Good enough to stay for a night or two.

Flat with the advantages of hotel reception and assistance. Near station but fair way to centre. Washing machine and good shower to keep all clean. Balcony for smokers (not me). Organised a lady to take keys and book me an economy taxi to the bus station on the weekend. Appreciate that. Highly recommended.

Amazing breakfast! Everything was homemade, unique, delicious and we looked forward to it. Great location, just a 15 min walk from downtown. Helpful staff-even found us converters because we forgot ours. Heater was in the bathroom which we didn't discover till the 2nd night so were a bit cold the first one but overall a great place to stay.

On booking the hotel was presented as 4⭐️. In reality it turned out to be 3.... It's a huge plus that you can take your pet with you 🐕‍🦺. There is no refrigerator in the room; there was a decent amount of leakage from the shower stall to the toilet. We arrived on the weekend, the windows were open and you could hear music from the neighboring restaurant until one in the morning.. Otherwise it was fine...

The location is excellent. The rooms are excellent. The front desk is staffed adequately. The breakfast service is luxurious. The hotel near a park with great views of the lake. The stairs to the lake has cascading neoclassical fountain.

We stayed at the Edem Hotel as it was fairly centrally located, not too far from the zoo and also within walking distance to main roads and a number of shopping centres. Very good value The staff were amazing 10/10 the first two nights were super quiet you wouldn't believe your in a city. Unfortunately there was no hot water for 3 nights I did raise it but it wasn't fixed, I sat by the pool but it wasn't that enjoyable as kids were shouting and throwing a ball into the furniture. also there are no blinds or curtains so you wake up when the sun's out

My issue was more with ******* than the property. They assured me it was okay to pay with credit card. Repeatedly. When I arrived it was cash only. When I arrived they had no knowledge of my reservation and said they don’t work with ******* any more and don’t know why they’re still listed. So I didn’t receive the room I booked; I’m lucky they let me stay at all. The listing said breakfast was included...

Nice, Cozy, Good Location. Perfect place for a short layover in Chisinau. Grocery store and restaurants are right there, and the trolley bus to the airport has a station right across the street. Rooms are nice and very clean but very small. I will return when I have another layover in Chisinau.

The most delicious cuisine. I've been to many countries, but the fact is that the quality here hasn't deteriorated over the years. The place is stunningly beautiful, and the rooms are cozy and equipped with everything you need. It's perfect for business meetings and various banquet-type events. The space is spacious, and there's always a free table.

The hotel claims to be 5-star, but there is no guaranteed parking for guests, and pool access for is restricted in such a way that we couldn’t use it. We checked in around 4:30 PM, but the pool is only available until 5:00 because they host evening events by the pool area afterward. The rooms are spacious but worn out. The hotel is excellent, albeit rather far away from the center and off the beaten track. This can be dealt with by taxi, which the front desk will easily order for you. The staff is great, both at the front desk and the restaurant. Rooms are crystal clean and fitted with all needed. I will certainly return.

Medium sized well appointed hotel a few blocks from the center of town. The room was comfortably furnished with tv, two comfortable chairs and desk. Perfect location—central but still very quiet. Everything was spotless, and the staff were genuinely friendly and always willing to help.

Instalations in good standing , near the center of the town . Should improve in attending other requests like being able to indicate about places to visit , travel agencies for local services , etc .
