This is the best hotel to stay at in the area. The staff, owners, and everyone else are very friendly. The best part is that they genuinely care about you. We stayed as a family of 8, and we are grateful for the attention, care, and hospitality we received.

Beautifully renovated 2 bed, 2 bath + jacuzzi appt with v high quality fixtures and fittings. Views to die for over the lake. Beware, 119 steps up to apartment, but each and everyone worth it just to meet the lovely hostess Melissa who was so attentive and helpful breakfast right on the lake at their sister hotel Admiral. What’s not to like?

Hotel admiral was peaceful, comfortable, clean, and beautiful. Perast doesn't allow vehicle traffic except locals in the summer so it is quaint and small -very walkable- you park outside the city and then hotel staff pick you up in a golf cart to bring you in. You can easily walk it as well but it is very nice to have a pick up and drop off with your luggage coming and going. The excellent AC kept the room very nice, and it was warm outside during our stay - so tested and true. The dining terrace was literally on the water and so beautiful. All the food was delicious, really fresh fish, the breakfasts had lots of choice and everything we ate was delicious. The desserts were also really good. The view from the window was stunning. The water is clear and beautiful blue. You can take a little dive off the piers close to the hotel or walk a few hundred feet down to the public beach area that has a couple of piers and some trees for shade. There are so many wonderful ice cream shops nearby too. Maybe the crowning glory of the stay was the exceptional staff. Ancica was at reception when we first arrived and was incredibly helpful, cheerful, and had really good recommendations. Whether it was the wait staff, the reception, maintenance, cleaning, the entire staff was so kind and wonderful that we were saddest to leave them. Perast is a 20 minute drive from Kotor, but we were looking for a place to have a restful vacation away from crowds and it was perfect. Close enough to see other things, but far enough that we felt like we found our own little paradise.

I was perfectly satisfied, but as items for people to consider in case it matters to them; others might find the parking situation difficult it is a 6-10 min walk or so from your vehicle depending on your pace. There are limited shops nearby - just the nature of staying in a perfect little town rather than a city, but should you want some supplies they wouldn't be readily available. It can be warm, and al fresco dining (all meals) was beautiful but outside in the heat. We never had an issue - but if you are heat sensitive come when the weather will be best suited for you.

We have quietly found the Hotel Admiral to be our favourite go-to place in Perast. It has amazing views and the food and people are terrific. Our favourite waiter, Milan, has become a good friend while we have been staying in Perast this week. His knowledge of local wines has really impressed us - he introduced us to a GREAT local wine which we have come back for now for days in a row! Give this place a try! It has one of the best seating areas on the sea in the whole town. Ask for Milan, and ask him about the local wine. His charming demeanour and broad smile will make your day!
