Old and dilapidated, everything was broken down, the windows weren't soundproof, the room was damp, and the bedding was damp too, making it difficult to sleep soundly at night. The reception staff were unprofessional, sometimes warm and sometimes cold. They would help with luggage, but offered no other services, and the breakfast was poor.

Riad located in Medina not far from main sights. It was really beautiful inside. Ceiling in the room was very high and there were three windows inside. Administrator was very polite and caring.

There were a lot of stairs inside.

The staff were incredibly kind! I was worried because they couldn't speak any English, but they helped me with things like airport transfers.
I was also impressed by the daily room cleaning, with their thoughtfulness and attention to detail, tailored to the guests.
My only complaint was that there were stains and dirt on the bath towels.
The location was also convenient!

What an incredible riad! The location is wonderful and convenient; you won't get lost even if you try. The room was cleaned daily, and they provided excellent toiletries for both shower and body. The room had air conditioning, so we spent the cold nights warm. The windows and shutters were stunningly beautiful, with a beautiful view of the courtyard. The breakfast was huge, filling, and delicious. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive! I highly recommend this riad! Thank you so much, we will definitely be back 🫶🏻

Overall the Riad is good.

The issues we had were the Heater in the room is small and the heater in the bathroom was not working. Safe in the room was spoilt too there wasn't any replacement.

The Royal Suite we stayed in was dark there wasn't sufficient lighting. Mohammed was kind enough to get a standing lamp and place in our room.

Breakfast was so so, just bread, eggs, yoghurt, coffee/tea and orange juice. Not much choice as it is not buffer ans served to us.

My favorite riad we stayed in in Morocco. Incredibly stylish, the service, breakfasts, amenities—literally everything was perfect. The room was simply luxurious. And the terrace 😍😍

The Riad looks what exactly like in the photos! Services are great and the host are kind and helpful to move our heavy luggage on and off along the staircases. Room is spacious and clean, one point can be improved is the lack of socket. We have to remove the lamp plug-in to get our mobile phone charged. Overall the stay in Layla is satisfied.

I rarely write reviews after staying at hotels, even though I know about the Trip Coin rewards and have skipped it a few times out of laziness. But this experience was truly something I had to share.

About ten minutes before arriving at the hotel, we contacted them via WhatsApp to inquire about parking, but received no response. Upon arriving near the hotel, we discovered that Trip.com's claim of a "hotel parking lot" was completely false; it was just an extremely dirty and chaotic area. We intended to park first and then try to contact the hotel, but at that moment, two men suddenly appeared, banging on our car windows and forcibly directing us to park where we wanted. I told them I needed to find hotel staff to confirm the parking location.

Unexpectedly, the two men seemed to already know which hotel we were staying at. They even had our hotel's contact information on their phones, but the number was completely different from the one provided on Trip.com. During this time, they repeatedly demanded parking fees and even threatened us, saying that if we didn't pay, students from the nearby school might vandalize our car.

After making a phone call and speaking a string of words we couldn't understand, a man emerged a while later with my Trip.com booking confirmation, which convinced us he was a hotel employee. However, this employee was chatting and laughing with the two men, seemingly part of the same group. Trip.com's claim of "no reservation required" parking was completely false: you'd be threatened and extorted if you didn't find a hotel employee beforehand; but even if you did, they seemed to be in cahoots. Ultimately, we were forced to pay 40 local currency, after which the two men "enthusiastically" helped us move our luggage with a trolley in front of the employee. We initially thought this was a hotel service, but as soon as the luggage was in the trolley, they demanded more money, with the hotel employee even saying we should give them at least 20.

As for the hotel's facilities, the room had an unpleasant odor upon entering; the air conditioning, while cold enough, made strange noises when running; hot water was available, but it dripped all night, and the noise disturbed our sleep; the bathroom was completely unpartitioned, without even a simple shower curtain, causing water to leak directly from the shower.

I've never had high expectations for hotel facilities, and the points mentioned above are merely objective observations, which I personally find acceptable. However, what I absolutely cannot accept is the feeling that everyone in Fez was trying to scam tourists. The helplessness and insecurity felt when you think you can only trust the hotel staff, only to find they are utterly untrustworthy, is incredibly intense.

Furthermore, the Trip.com booking stated the city tax was only a little over 11 euros, yet the hotel staff demanded 12 euros from us. This isn't about the money; it's about integrity. My stay at this hotel was entirely stressful.

If Trip.com could give a zero, I would give this hotel a zero. This zero isn't for the facilities, but because the hotel offered absolutely no sense of security. Even the hotel staff seemed constantly plotting against you; every minute spent there felt like you were in danger.

This hotel is a 10 out of 5. The room and the hotel itself are incredibly beautiful. The staff is very friendly. Breakfast was on the terrace with a beautiful view. One downside: the hot water wasn't hot. With all the positives, we didn't notice.

Room is clean and comfortable.

One thing I disappointed is airport transfer service.
I booked and paid the fee at the hotel, but taxi driver requires to pay the fee. So I call the hotel staff on the spot, but hotel staff said didn't receive the fee. Because of this, I was made to pay twice.

Incredible service every step of the way. Mohammed is an absolute legend who helped us out with everything from finding laundry on night one to sorting us out with a guide around Fes. Beautiful place on the outskirts of the Medina with easy access to the roundabout and the Blue Gate. Would 100000% stay here again. Thanks so much for everything to all of the staff at Layla, especially Mohammed!!!!
