A standard large hotel with parking, which is convenient for arriving at night, but the facilities are old, the food is local, and there is a large swimming pool in the center. It is relatively plain and has no special features, but it is solid.

They boast 5* and it probably was many years ago. You can tell from the reception rooms it was obviously somewhere really special in its day. However the rooms are a let down. Old tired furniture, poorly maintained items, no safe boxes (apparently some rooms had them but you could lift them up!), air con poor.... with some good maintenance they could make the rooms so much better. The welcome was very cold upon arrival; we didn't feel at all welcome. The service was far from what you'd expect from a 4-star hotel; I'd say it was more like a 2-star. There were many glitches in the available rooms (technical problems, malfunctioning equipment, etc.), which really spoiled the stay despite the hotel's good location.

Parking is very convenient. There is a whole private area. It feels very safe. The hotel room is also very large. The room has a good view. You can see the old city. It is very cost-effective for more than 500 per night. The hygiene is also very clean.

I went only for the fabulous views of the mountains and the city. Perhaps because it was getting late, I had the worst service: we waited for ever to get the food and drinks.

I loved this place. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. You can change all kinds of foreign money at the desk. I was able to change two different kinds of money into dirhams. I came for drinks at the bar rather than staying in the actual hotel itself. However, on the way out I used the ATM machine in the lobby. It did NOT notify me that it would be taking a fee and did NOT notify me what that fee would be. When the transaction went through it took 65dh. DO NOT USE THIS ATM - UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE HIT WITH HIGH HIDDEN FEES. Very Disappointing!!!

I booked the most expensive room with a large terrace. I found out that the homestay does not have a swimming pool when I arrived. The terrace is separate and is just a small balcony. Absolutely a must visit while you are in Fez. Located next door to Hotel Batha, this museum provides some insights into the incredibly long history of Morocco, of Fez and it's people. You may have the place to yourself, there were literally more guards than visitors and when you see the artifacts you will know why. The gardens and the courtyards are alone worth the price of admission.

Dar Victoria is a beautiful home in Fes that was transformed into a wonderful guesthouse just steps away from the old Medina. While the rooms were comfortable, the outstanding feature is the attentive service that the staff provides each guest. The daily breakfast provided was a delicious selection of Moroccan flavors, a wonderful way to start every day.

The location is conveniently located to the parking lot by the pharmacy. It’s a beautiful renovated traditional Riad with some modern update and a full service hammam attached. The common areas are nicely appointed starting with a nice fountain for swimming, and an adjacent reading room with a cozy fireplace to relax and wind down and recount your adventures in the souks.
