We received the warmest welcome at Riad Layalina, including a table full of steaming food and hot mint tea when we arrived after a long train journey from Tanger to Fes.

Our hosts were a delight. They made sure we had everything we needed and treated us like family. They helped us with every question we had.

Our room was spacious and extremely comfortable. The bathroom was huge and had a gorgeous stained glass window that looked out at a giant orange tree.

There’s nothing like staying in a good riad in Morocco. They truly make you feel like you’re at home.

My wife and I stayed here on our honeymoon, Jerome(the owner) was so gracious to upgrade us to a suite. The staff were absolutely amazing and helpful. The entire riad was absolutely beautiful, especially our suite and the location was perfect for exploring the Medina. The breakfast every morning on the outside patio was so tasty. Absolutely positive experience from start to finish.

This Riad is in a small quiet corner of the Medina. The staff was so friendly and breakfast was more than filling. Even though our room was a little small, we were comfortable and spent time in the courtyard and terrace. There is a Thai restaurant close and of course the Medina proper is just a few feet away. The quietest spot we have stayed at during our time in Morocco.

Amazing riad right next to the Medina – very clean and beautifully maintained. The staff are truly wonderful, warm, and welcoming, making you feel at home from the very first moment. Perfect hospitality all around! They also offer parking for motorbikes, which was really convenient. Highly recommended!

Perfect Riad for a visit to Fes! Just right outside of the Medina you will find this beautiful safe space to relax. We were spoiled with great service and wonderful homemade food by the nicest woman! The bed was so comfortable, safe parking for the car and cutest dog! Ask for the tour guide Abdoul to explore the Medina, he know every place by heart and it’s a must for enjoying the Medina! He is as famous as Coca Cola by the locals. Thank you for making our stay so pleasant ❤️

My family (wife, son and 3 grandchildren,13,15,21) stayed 2 days
at the Riad Layalina Fes. What a beautiful Riad!! The rooms are great..
The people who worked there were exceptional, great service and went
out of there way to make you fill at home. You MUST eat breakfast at the
Riad. They bring fresh squeezed orange juice along with coffee or Morocco's famous mint tea. Then we got a pancake type dish
with jams, jellies and honey along with a coffee cake and egg.
An the location is only 500 yards from an entrance to the Medina, you
have to visit the Medina if you are going to Morocco. It was the one of
the high lights of our Morocco six day trip. A Riad is a place you have
stay in Morocco and this Riad is an A+ ,you won't be disappointed.

Oh, how we loved this place! We only stayed here for one night because the other nights were booked but we would have stayed here the whole time if we could. The place is BEAUTIFUL. Food was delicious, and the staff.. they are so wonderful and kind. We really have nothing to complain about and would stay here if we were to go to Fes again!

Best Mexican style burrito I've found in Morocco - which isn't saying much. But it tasted fine and was reasonably sized. Man behind the counter was friendly too. More expensive than other meals you can find in Morocco but not bad. About 5€ for a burrito and chips when I was there.

Dreadful. Smallest and possibly most expensive burrito I have ever had. My friend and I ordered two different burritos. It appears we were given the same thing. Filled with essentially slop, missing many of the listed ingredients in the menu discsription. Accompanied by a tiny bowl of corn chips and supposed salsa. Not to mention a luke warm coffee (worst I have ever had in Fez). I can’t actually understand why I paid for this. Do yourself a favour and give it a miss.

AVOID! We arrived late at night and the owner was polite enough to prepare us a meal. We ordered a bottle of water, 1 mint tea and a small vegetable tagine - which was literally the smallest tagine we got served in the whole Marocco. We were charged 150 Dirhams (it was not a menu)!! Total scam. We tried to lower the price but the owner got angry with us so we paid and left quickly. You can find very good full menus for 70Dirh in any restaurant near the blue Gate. Avoid, it's not worth it!

This is one of the best authentic restaurants we have been in Morocco! Food is delicious and super fresh, great value for money and super friendly stuff. They have a lovely terrace and during lunch it usually quite quite here so you can have a relaxing experience. Our local friends recommended this place and we advise everyone to try!

Don't go there!!

Small and good located restaurant which gave us a really bad experience on our trip through this lovely country.

The staff is friendly but the portions are very small and the taste is nothing special.
Every menu is 150DH, which is a lot for this kind of restaurants in Marokko but the food wasn't worth it at all. It seemed to us as if the meals were not freshly prepared but heated up.

I wouldn't recommend this place.
