Many guests praised the hotel's authentic Moroccan ambiance and historic architecture, describing it as feeling like staying in a museum. The breakfast received frequent compliments for being delicious, generous, and homemade to order. Staff members were often noted as helpful, kind, and attentive, with special mentions for individuals like Mohammed, Ibrahim, Noura, and Karima. Rooms were described as large, clean, and comfortable with some featuring oversized bathrooms and excellent showers. The central courtyard and rooftop terrace were highlighted as beautiful and peaceful places to relax. One review mentioned that the hotel’s cancellation policy and lack of response caused significant frustration. A few guests found the terrace too cold to enjoy during their stay.

Description

Riad Myra is a four-star hotel built in 1900 in the traditional Moroccan style, renovated in 2004, offering an authentic experience in the historic center of Fes. The property consists of 13 rooms spread over two floors within a vintage building with heating, air conditioning, and free Wi-Fi throughout. Guests can enjoy amenities such as a sauna, spa treatments including massages, and access to a small bar and terrace. The hotel emphasizes traditional decor with spacious rooms, some featuring large bathrooms and comfortable beds. While pets are allowed upon request, service animals are not permitted. The hotel operates a 24-hour front desk and provides laundry and dry cleaning services for a fee. Its location near key landmarks makes it a convenient choice for exploring the medina.

Location

Riad Myra is located at 13 Rue Salaj, in the heart of Fes’s historic medina. It sits approximately 193 meters from Bou Inania Madrasa, a 14th-century religious school known for its Marinid architecture, and about 212 meters from the Dar al-Magana water clock monument. The hotel is around 14 kilometers from Fes Saïs International Airport, reachable in roughly 25 minutes by car. Nearby dining options include LeSalaj Restaurant just 152 meters away, and Nagham Cafe at 254 meters, noted for its views over the Blue Gate and medina. The hotel’s position offers guests easy access to explore Fes’s cultural sites while providing a quiet retreat on a side alley.

Tips

  • If you plan to arrive by taxi, prepare for a short walk through narrow medina alleys to reach the hotel entrance.
  • Booking spa treatments like hammam in advance is recommended since late arrivals may not secure on-site appointments.
  • Take advantage of the rooftop terrace during warmer days, but note it may be too cold to use in cooler seasons.

Magnificent, beautiful Riad, with a fabulous rooftop terrace! Our room was fit for king! They have a small intimate bar and the breakfasts were delicious, home-made to your liking. A big thank you to Mohammed and Ibrahim, for being so nice and helpful to us! We loved our stay and will be back!

Absolutely gorgeous riad with the kindest staff, delicious breakfasts, and historic rooms. It literally felt like we were staying in a museum. Highly recommend!

A perfect accommodation for the two of us in the old medina for 3 nights while busily touring Fes and Volubilis. The tranquility of this traditional riad, welcoming staff, calming water fountain in central courtyard, traditional breakfast and tagine at dinner, comfortable bed in spacious room, and a wonderful hammam treatment before heading to our next destination, all made for a memorable stay in Fes.

Beautiful Riad. The room was lovely, the courtyard just fabulous (too cold to appreciate the terrace). Excellent breakfast. Good bar. Really all good. The men serving were a little cool, but the lovely women especially the woman organising breakfast were just great. Highly recommended.

The Riad is very beautiful overall and offers an authentic experience.
The breakfast was delicious and very generous in portion! Also the atmosphere to eat it at the lobby in a Riad was very nice.

While our room was a bit compact, the bathroom and toilet were kept very clean.

What made our stay special was the staff's helpfulness. We wanted to try the Hammam, but since we checked in late, we couldn't book the one on-site. Instead, they personally walked us to another Hammam nearby. They also introduced us to a lovely shop selling high-quality Argan oil and spices, which really enriched our Fes experience.

The location is also good. It is very close to Bab Boujloud and the famous parking area near a post office where you can easily arrive by a taxi.

I highly recommend this Riad for its convenience and wonderful hospitality!

Beautiful and intimate. My first time staying at a Moroccan riad, and it is so different from typical chain hotel. The staff were kind and attentive. I tried the hammam which was so relaxing and left me feeling brand new— a must! No need to make dinner reservations elsewhere either.

I had booked our Christmas stay on their website 6 months in advance. 5 days to arrival I got an email cancellation email unexpectedly. No message, no explanation; just the cancellation notice. I emailed them straight away to understand why, but I did not get a reply. I tried again the next day, but once again, no reply. I could see on ******* the suite I had orginally booked was still available for sale for my travel dates. I had to prepay over $1000, but at least it was a confirmed reservation. I emailed the hotel to advise that they could keep the original booking cancelled and that I had a new reesevation through *******. The next day, I get a call from ******* telling me that the hotel has cancelled my booking again. Still no reason why the cancellation, which was very frustrating. Luckily the customer experience team at ******* were super helpful in finding another riad of similar calibre in Fez, although it was a 20 min walk from our original location. I find it appalling that the riad could not even reply or give us a reason for the cancellation.

The food is good if not great, but it is reasonably priced. Best of all though, and the reason for coming, is the view. There are two floors of seating with views over the Blue Gate, the medina, and surrounding areas. It's incredible at any time and well worth a visit.

Service is verrrryyyy slow. And drink orders are not right. I asked for a juice with specific ingredients and got something different. Twice.

My friends and I had great food and service t this restaurant. I definitely recommend?

Go here for the view and simply accept the food. The food is not great, nor is it bad. Reasonably priced. The view is great! Entrance is in a little alley and you have to walk the stairs to the top to reach the restaurant.

Amazing view from the rooftop terrace. I didn't have any food so can't go into detail about that, but I ordered a drink and it was okay. But the view alone is worth it
