When we entered the riad at midnight, looking at the interior and the hospitality after a long journey from Marrakech, and at the middle of old Medina in Fes, we felt like we have entered into an ancient castle. The furniture were well decorated with stones and colorful paint. The small fountain at the center of the lobby was very inviting. It was really a nice experience to be in the riad. We enjoyed our stay there thoroughly. The location is very well, so are the behavior of the staff.
And the breakfast, which was a part of our room package, was just perfect. We loved every bite and sip of our breakfast.

The bathroom did not have enough privacy as the door to the bathroom was short in length (literally a half door), may be the other rooms were not the same though.

The best place to stay in Fes. Was welcomed as if you just got back to your own home. The most sweetie and loving staff you can imagine. Their food is just mom's home cooked, something to die for.

I do not recommend this Riad. The staff displayed extreme rudeness from the very first moment. One of the reception employees even adopted an aggressive attitude. Our arrival was particularly difficult, and throughout our stay we felt intimidated.
Although other rooms were available, we were placed in the worst possible one: on the ground floor, exposed to the constant noise of the Medina. The bathroom has no enclosure, so when taking a shower, the entire space becomes wet. Additionally, our room was not cleaned a single morning, despite numerous requests made to the staff.
The television did not work, and we had the clear impression that this was an act of retaliation. To make matters worse, we sensed a tone of homophobia in the service, which made the experience even more uncomfortable and unacceptable.
We do not recommend this establishment under any circumstances. The service quality was so unsatisfactory that we give it zero stars. Avoid this place.

Friendly staff, but you should be careful with the city tax. Authentic place to stay.

Terrible stay here; I’m not usually picky but this place has terrible staff and service. Worth warning others to prevent future recurrence.
3 scams during check in (broken credit card machine, attempted overcharge, attempted incorrect exchange rate for Eur-Mad); check in was a 1 hour negotiation (even after everything was already pre-booked online.)
When I disagreed, the ‘brother’ kept putting his jacket on and asking me to go for a walk with him into the alleys. He likely thought he was trying to be nice but also an annoying intimidation tactic I didn’t need after a long day. A little girl outside the Riad also tried to steal my hat right before checking in.
No 24-hour front desk. The staff also knocked on my door at 11pm instead of messaging me after 9-10pm service was not available at their 24-hour front desk. My observation was that they only worked when they felt like it and the front desk was abandoned 90% of the time with lights off.
I paid for breakfast, but another scam was that breakfast was only available during a narrow window 1.5 hour (not stated in booking)

The hotel offers a shuttle service to and from the airport: quite convenient when arriving late, as we did. It cost €25 (250 dirhams), including a €5 surcharge for the night service. The room was clean and the bedding comfortable. However, the bathroom was very small, with a shower without a tray; the water ran directly onto the floor and took quite a while to drain: not very practical if you're in a hurry and need to shower quickly, one after the other. The shower head holder was broken; you had to hold it by hand. You need to bring your own toiletries, and shampoo isn't provided (difficult when traveling with carry-on luggage for 2-3 days). The breakfast service was basic, and it's a shame about the lack of commercial products (black olives and quiri cheese). The crepes and brioches were made on-site and were very good. The location is perfect, right next to one of the souks in the old medina. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, but they are relatively expensive because it's in a tourist area. Don't hesitate to eat in the new city; a taxi costs €2 each way (€4 round trip). Note: the hotel claims to accept credit cards, but we couldn't pay 170 dirhams (€17) by card due to an excessively high commission. High amounts are accepted (something to consider if you pay at the end of your stay and have the cash on hand). Free Wi-Fi, nice terrace, but it's a shame you can't have breakfast there. Overall, a pleasant stay and good value for money.

We had to change rooms, the staff were very helpful and kind to us. The breakfast was lovely and the 2 rooms we had were both comfortable and no issues with anything.
