Villa Garance in Essaouira

Beautiful riad in a great location. Bushra and her staff made our stay easy and comfortable. Fabulous room and the riad was located near the local bazaar. However, we were not disturbed at all. We loved our time in Essaouira!

Room was amazing, great staff and awesome location!

In one word: perfect. For once you have a riad with outward facing windows and not dark and cramped. Take the suite on the rooftop if you can, not so much for the extra space but for the extra light and the feeling of being "beyond it". Service, breakfast etc etc all perfect. Perfect choice for Essaouira. And Essaouira itself is also a very nice place to stop after busy cities like Marrakesh....

Great location, good breakfast, comfortable beds

We are delighted with this wonderful riad. If you want to live in an authentic place, feel the spirit of antiquity and get aesthetic pleasure, then you are here. There are many good cafes and restaurants, shops nearby, it is a 10-minute walk to the fortress, 15 minutes to the beach. We had a triple room, its only drawback is the lack of a window to the street, because of this it is dark there. You should also know that there is no air conditioning in the room, but it is not needed, it was cool in July, we slept under the blankets. There is also no kettle, TV and refrigerator. Complete immersion in the past)) However, for us this was also not a problem. The linen is clean, the bed is comfortable, the towels were changed every day, the bathroom has good shampoo, shower gel and body lotion. Upstairs there is a wonderful terrace where a delicious breakfast is served in the morning (eggs, pastries, freshly squeezed orange juice, fruits, yogurt, jams, tea, coffee). It is very nice to have breakfast in the fresh air under the cries of seagulls. You can also spend time there in the evening. You can't get to the riad by car, but it's not a problem. Park at the port, there are porters with carts who will take your luggage to the riad for a small fee and show you the way. And special thanks to the owners and staff, they are very welcoming and friendly.

We spent 1 night in this riad after a few intense days in the Marrakesh region. We've been very glad to with the location and upon our arrival the personal has been very pleasant, respectful and accommodating with us. This, between other factors, made our stay in Essaouira lovely

This was our second stay here and it did not disappoint. The rooms are large and tastefully decorated in a Moroccan style. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast on the roof is pleasant with eggs, fruit, juices, yoghurt and breads. Location is great, just near a main shopping street and through a short alley to the busiest shopping street. Resaurants and coffee shops within a 5 min walk. 10 min walk to one of the gates for transport. I would definitely recommend this villa for a stay in Essaouria.

Very friendly welcome. Always felt safe. Wonderful breakfast, the fresh orange juice was delicious.

My only reason for a slightly lower score was the accessibility in our room. It was a stunning room but the tiled stairs coming out of the bathroom were a big hazard. My husband (fit, active 30 year old) slipped and has fractured his elbow. Might be worth more than one bath mat being provided in this room to avoid this happening to anyone else.
