Reasonable stay in relation to budget price.

Very cosy place, perfectly located to the city center of Leeuwarden. Very decent rooms, friendly staff, nice bar. We have been here before, and will come back again. So certainly recommended

They called for over an hour to find us a place to stay, which they eventually found and even payed for some of the costs which we made due to the inconveniences

Rooms have plenty of space and a nice atmosphere. Every dish we ordered was spectacular. The staff is also very nice and helpful. It's located in a very nice and green area, and there are different cute animals

This restaurant has amazed me with its diverse menu of food, drinks and cocktails. I have ordered the 4-course menu and it was super delicious, with a lot of local ingredients and still surprising taste combinations

If one wants to get out of the fast city life, this castle and its owners make you gearing down and enjoy. All is right, the hospitality, food, wines, surrounding, rooms, all the little details

A special highlight was meeting the resident pig in the garden, such a unique and charming touch. The tranquility and personal service made it a very memorable experience

We stayed 2 nights and had dinner once. Beautiful garden setting, spacious rooms, shower over bath not my preference but ok. Dinner was superb despite slow to come

Very nice and helpful personell. The owner is Chef de cuisine and he does a hell of a good job, everything is very tasty and colorful. His wife is doing the service and is also very charming and professional

We stayed in the junior suite, which was spacious, tidy and clean. The bathroom had a big bath and a walk in shower, all immaculate. The location is quiet with nice scenery and there are some nice walks from the hotel

I noticed the glass was two double glazed panes, which probably helped reduce any noise. Breakfast consisted of fruit juices, coffee, fresh bread, pastries, jam, cheese, cereals, yoghurt and muesli, all good quality

We stayed at the hotel with our 2 year old daughter, and they were very accommodating. The lady that runs the place helped by heating milk at bed time, and provided a duvet for our travel cot as we forgot ours

Wonderful hotel and friendly owners who run the place impeccably! The food never disappointed and offered plenty of gluten free options which was great for me as I’m celiac. Lovely calm atmosphere

This is a fantastic hotel in a lovely setting. The hotel looks like it has been modernised recently and they've done a great job. The decor is very simple and contemporary

Simply a beautiful hotel! We had a room with a sea view/dune view, the sea can be seen directly behind the dunes. Great breakfast, a nice family business and direct parking. Super clean, rooms are big and spacious

The highlight is the great breakfast room, from which you can also see the sea and dunes. The food was delicious and the staff was really nice. Beach is right in front of you. I can only say: top, top, top!!!

Great and clean hotel right by the sea. The service and the staff are great and super friendly. Breakfast is brought to the room during the Corona period, so you can have breakfast on the balcony or in bed

You can choose the breakfast yourself - you get a list to tick. Tasted great! The parking lot is free - bicycles can be stored there in wooden cabinets that can be locked. We would like to come again! :)

Simply great. The quietest breakfast room I've ever experienced in a hotel. Breakfast as well as from the bed, the view of the sea, just wonderful. It was a pleasure!

If you need lots of space and comfort, it may not be the right choice for you because the rooms are small and cramped, which is to be expected, it's not a luxury yacht. Personally I don't mind at all, I sort of enjoy it

It's quiet and peaceful, but don't expect lazy lie-ins because when staff and guests get up in the morning, you'll definitely hear it in your bedroom. You have to enjoy staying on a barge boat to stay here

Everything works as expected. There's wifi, an 'honesty bar' (write down what you take and pay at checkout'), a little lounge area to chill with your friends, breakfast buffet

The great thing about staying on a barge boat here is that you're close to the train station and city centre, but not so close that you hear all the noise

Had very nice stay last August. Breakfast was nice! The only complaint and really big issue ist that it was unbelievably hot in the rooms at night. During the day, they were cooler than outside though

Maybe don’t go during high summer?

Friendly and kind service - big family room on two levels - very comfortable beds - a nice balcony with chairs and view on a quiet garden - good breakfast - convenient location at walking distance to the town center and the beach

While in my experience unusual, the directly-at-your-table buffet is a lovely idea (no need to be walking around for your food) and incredibly accommodating to dietary restrictions (if you inform the hotel in advance)

Simple but quite nice accommodations. The breakfast is excellent, serving several types of bread and rolls, meat and cheese. The cool bonus is they provide baggies so you can also pack a lunch for your day on the go

Perfect for our family of four. Good location for visiting the different tourist spots. And when it's time to head home, the bus stop is a couple minutes walk

Very nice hotel which is a couple of minutes biking from the beach and walking distance from the center of Nes. The bus stops a couple of meters away

They set the breakfast tables according to the number of people in the rooms. So sit at a table with the right number of dishes

I'll give this 3 stars not because it's a 3 star hotel but because it does simple cheap accommodation well. It's a no frills single room in the middle of town

Nice location, very comfortable rooms, our room had a very nice view of the old Haarlem town, very nice overall.

A nice hotel for the price they are asking, however had little unpleasant moment, when I prolonged the check-out till 1400 only to find out my card defaulted 12:00 so couldn't get in the building without visiting the main reception at Ambassador Hotel

The rooms are a little plain, the beds are a little uncomfortable because it is two single beds pushed together, this makes for problems when your partner is staying with you

But overall I have stayed with them for years. I would like to thank them for their contribution when staying with them. Best regards to all the staff

Close enough to pop back for a rest in the afternoon before going out again for dinner. Victor himself is a lovely and welcoming host - very amiable and hardworking. We will definitely be coming back!

View from the roof is exceptional. I was not expecting much to be honest initially. Good spacious and warm reception free coffee and tea. Rooms are bit small but cozy and had ensuite

If you know what you're getting yourself in to, this is an amazing place to stay! A lot of the other reviews seem to have extremely warped expectations of what a boat can feasibly provide - of course there's not going to be loads and loads of space, and it's hardly going to be a "luxury" stay

Despite staying during storm Ciara the room was warm, and although the boat did rock during the night I doubt this would be an issue if not staying during a storm! Breakfast was very nice - I was a bit confused from previous reviews what it was, but it essentially was a small self service

You really can help yourself to however much you like - Victor was encouraging us to make sandwiches to take with us for the day! Location is perfect - 10 mins from the station and maximum 15 mins from Central Amsterdam

Good for budget travel. Clean place with convenient location at the city centre

This hostel is located in a quiet neighbour of Amsterdam. It si amazing, beds comfortable and a familiar living room very cute. The staff is very kind and ready to help you if you need something. Great choose stay here!

It is central located, you can visit everything on foot. The rooms were clean and the staff was really friendly. We could leave our staff before and after stay there, which I personally found amazing

The service staff are very friendly and there are activities held several nights during the week. The location is very good, close to Albert Market, and the surrounding transportation is convenient

They even had a nice small breakfast and a nice common room and garden. Definitely my stay place when I visit Amsterdam again, totally recommend it

We booked the private room which you can see the view from your own room. The room are good for 2 people. It's clean and have all equipment you need for basic routine

The area are near the bar and many restaurants around and just 15 minutes by walk to get to center area. The owner are very good and friendly and he will give you all information you need. I recommend to stay this place

Great central location near the beautiful Westerkerk. Great staff, nice breakfast delivered to the room and good facilities for the rating/price. It exceeded expectations and I'll be very happy to return.

The manager, whose name I forget or I would have included it, was very friendly and helpful. The only thing I will point out is the staircase is pretty steep with no elevators

I had a great experience staying here. Nice size rooms with a great view for people watching on the sidewalks from store to store. Very central to all shops trains, and buses

That said people were polite when encountering each other while going up and down. Thank you for the great service

I am an aesthete, and I love cozy, unusual places that boost creativity and are located within walking distance of the city center, yet still offer a quiet corner of peace. Amicitia completely satisfied this need

From the minuses – the absence of sound insulation, you hear everything that happens around – movement above, snoring, farting behind the wall – everything. Also, on the second floor the radio was constantly playing

🙂 It has three floors: the first – cabins, with a bunk bed, a sink, a wardrobe, and a small window almost at the level of the water, so you can wake up and greet the birds that swim up to your cabin

Great experience for traveling! It's clean here, not too many ppl at the same time, the staffs are super helpful, the location is ez to get to Haarlem central and the beach also. So why not?

This was my first experience of living on a boat, and it was wonderful! The first thing that impressed me – this boat is very cozy (just like the Netherlands in general)

And the third, on the roof – a wonderful place with benches and chairs, where you can enjoy the beauty of the canal and relax with a nice view of the old architecture

Hotel located in prime location. Just 5mins walk from Amsterdam central train station. But if you are come with kids and big luggages request rooms in 1-2 floors

The place is usually quite. Restaurant has got a good set of musical instruments for live performances. A few games and this place comes alive in evening. Hosts are friendly and will give good advice about surroundings.

She'll provide you with all the information you need to get around using the bikes she'll provide, included in the price of the accommodation! Dam Square is a 10-minute walk away, and the beautiful Rembrandt Park is just a few meters away, a must-see if you love nature!

This is also very suitable if you would like to stay with children, there is a large garden behind the hotel with play equipment and you can sit there

OK for one night, small hot room. Good breakfast. Evening meals are available, but only till 8pm. Better to walk the 15mins into town. Loads of choice there. Lovely town center.

Only the steep stairs are a bit uncomfortable and not suitable for people with physical disabilities. A good breakfast is available right next door at Jikke, and many other restaurants are within walking distance

This hotel doesn't have a reception, and all necessary information is sent via email/WhatsApp. The housekeeper is very friendly and always has a smile on her face and is happy to answer any questions

This mini-hotel in the heart of Sneek, right next to the landmark, is beautiful, yet unusual. The rooms are comfortable and everything is clean

In short, we'd love to come back!

Although the room itself (on the ground floor) was clean and tidy, and the service was good, the rules were very strict, almost militaristic (no visitors allowed in the room, no food allowed, "zero tolerance" and eviction if you didn't follow the rules, cameras in the rooms, etc

This 'hotel' has key vaults outside and no reception or anything else. Five stars for location as it's near a public parking garage and walking distance from all shops and bars and restaurants in the city center

Very clean, staff were great and helpful, the Irish bar next door had fantastic food and the staff were great, cheap accommodation, I met some nice people in the room I was in, I definitely will go again, its located right in the center , lots to see as soon as you step out of the hostel

Great for budget travellers however be prepared to sacrifice sleep in dorm rooms, especially 14 person rooms. Storage under beds is very noisy, toilets, sinks not clean

Staff really friendly and close to the central station! I met a lot of nice people the room, specially a lot of French! Just recommend you to take your own padlock and flip flops to take a shower, during the day the shower is nice and clean but morning and nights it’s a little bit dirty

The Hostel had the best location I could have hoped for. Right in the dead center of all the bars. Plus the train station was a few minutes of a walking distance, restaurants and convenience stores were nearby too

Nice hostel, clean rooms and very central. This means also very noisy and a church right outside chimes every 15 minutes. Good for a weekend but not longer than that. Staff very friendly and helpful.
