The charming staff makes you feel like you are in your own home. They are very helpful and nice people. Rooms a bit small but adequate and clean. Very good location, perfect for visiting the town and gave a nice sleep in a quiet quarter after a long day. I would love to repeat the experience in the same hotel.

Book this if you want to destroy your trip. This was unbelievably horrible. I wish I could give 0 stars; even 1 is too much.

I would strongly advise travelers to think twice before booking this hotel. Due to extreme weather conditions, my flight to Amsterdam was canceled, making it physically impossible for me to reach the hotel.
Despite contacting them immediately and explaining the situation, the management showed zero flexibility. They flat-out refused to issue a refund, but what is even worse—they wouldn't even provide a voucher to use at a later date. They simply kept the full payment for a service they never provided, under circumstances that were completely out of my control (force majeure).
In an industry that should be based on hospitality, this establishment chooses greed over professional customer service. It is disappointing to see such a lack of understanding for international travelers. Save your money and book a hotel that actually values its guests.

Nice staff willing to help you out with information. Property was really good, nice patio in the back! Room with nice big windows that open and the bed was really comfortable!

Great hotel!
A wonderful hotel in the centre. The staff were friendly and amenable. The room was great, if you don’t mind stairs (which I don’t).
There was also a very pleasant garden.

It was a nice hotel. Location was perfect. Hotel staff were super nice. One front desk guy helped me to take pictures at the bridge. That was really nice of him. Every staff were very friendly and nice. I enjoyed staying at this hotel. It’s also the very reasonable price. One recommendation would be about shower door. I wish the shower door would close completely and not just the half way, that’s how water would not spill at the floor and flood. Also I wish the sink was a little larger.

While this cute little hotel is nestled in an idyllic area of Amsterdam, and within walking distance of some local attractions, it’s best to go in with eyes wide open. I booked for a work trip with a single bed and the reception was great. I had some massive luggage and there are no lifts, but fortunately was on the first floor of rooms (which still required navigating up some narrow stairs). When I walked into the room however, I laughed … it was the tiniest room I’ve ever stayed in … and I’ve stayed in small rooms in Sweden and the UK! The bed was fine, but the bathroom was so tiny that I had to open the shower doors to be able to sit on the toilet. It was the smallest bathroom ever. But the shower was reasonable by comparison. All in all, it was a cute room … window looked out to the canal and the ceilings were high, but TV bed and bathroom were very small and only big enough for one person. Might recommend this for backpackers or one person with little luggage. Also noted, the walls are really thin and you can hear everything next door, but they provide earplugs and generally all went quiet by 11pm.

Think about what you would like to know if you were looking for a review about a place to relax. Please describe in detail what you liked and what you didn't. What would you advise to other guests and to the hotel owner. The more fully you tell about the hotel, the easier it will be for other people to make a choice and they will be very grateful to you!
