Plantage Apartments - Artis Zoo area in Amsterdam

So it's a self-check-in, so if you have any problems you're out of luck... our room smelled like sewage because of the bathroom and the only response we got was "impossible at the moment, we'll contact you again tomorrow" and since then, nothing. I do not recommend this hotel.

Really is a shame as it had potential. Check in is done through a Ring Doorbell so be prepared to wait 30 minutes before going through the process and getting to your room. The stair rails are hanging off and offer no support so grab the walls and hope you don’t slip. Bedrooms are very cold with the windows not closing shut. You will hear every tram and person walking below you. The showers stink and are not very clean. Great hotel if you plan on spending no time inside of it.

Would like to stress this enough to avoid this place at all costs !!! - we had an initial good impression as thought this was value for money despite our bedroom window being off the hinges and there being no proper bathroom ceiling - later on we were noticed there was lots of bugs and put it down to the broken window- however we managed to slam it closed and woke up the next morning with loads of bites and bed bugs everywhere !!! It was vile and staff were completely incompetent and done nothing to help us and blamed us for not reporting it soon - which we would of if we didn’t think it was from the broken window !!! Absolute disgrace I will attach the images from me and my friend head to toe in disgusting bites !!! This totally ruined our holiday despite the fact we were barely in our room as had to keep our clothes up high and make sure they weren’t contaminated !! - AVOID !!!! IT IS CHEAP FOR A REASON !!

the hotel does not accept black peopleThe hotel doesn't accept black people, that's absurd, what century are they living in for this to happen, a very low rating because they deserve it. outraged by this intolerance..............,,..........

We paid too much for this place, the rooms were extremely small, lights had to be unplugged to turn off, usb plugs didn't work, wiring was exposed in places, ac didn't always work properly, although the staff were friendly they would not reduce the price. We stayed 4 nights and saw many examples where 1 or 2 nights was cheaper per night by 50 E.
