Hotel Asterisk, a family run hotel

Very nice hotel in a great location of Amsterdam. Walking distance of many tourist attractions and entertainment areas, yet in a quiet and pleasant street. We booked a slightly larger room and got a very nice and spacious room with a garden. The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly.

Such a happy experience from beginning to end. A warm greeting on our late arrival, lovely big quiet room, excellent location. Would love to stay here again.

Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Amsterdam anyday!

We loved the location - it is within a few minutes to Museum Quarter, Vondelpark and about 20 min to city centre. We loved this since originally we considered getting a hotel closer to Central Station and glad we did not - that area is way too loud and crowded, and short walk from Hotel Asterisk to the center is so much nicer as you get to explore the city on the way!! Plus the hotel staff - who are are always very nice - have a list of recommended breakfast local places and you just have to go to Coffee & Coconuts as it is a gem!!!

My only reason for giving a 4 star rating is that I had a noise sensitivity issue with the floor cracking of walking steps on the floor above. The hotel is a residential building - which gives it such a great vibe but the thin walls and floors slightly impacted my stay experience.

Everything was perfect. There was no AC for heating or cooling so that was the only negative thing for our room. The rest is perfect. You may stay here without any hesitation.

Excellent location Booked a 2 star room with separate bathroom very clean. Helpful friendly staff. As room anive reception and at the front a little nousy early morning

Magnificent hotel. Better than expected. Super clean, pretty new furniture in our room and at a very good location. Close to many lines of trams, but at the same time on a quiet street. They even offer some free snacks to those who are staying at the hotel like fruit or chocolates

Very nice little hotel. Clean rooms. Friendly, helpful staff. Priced right for the neighborhood. Only downside was the lack of a little fridge. With so many wonderful meats and cheeses and beers to enjoy in Amsterdam it would have been nice to have somewhere to keep them chilled. Would still recommend hotel to anyone.

Still remember the first day of Amsterdam. Great locality, small rooms but good for one person and one night stay, worth every penny, beer bar at the corner is just amazing. Right near Heineken experience, so quite a touristy place.

Just home last week from an amazing long weekend in Amsterdam, couldn’t have stayed in a better hotel! Location is excellent, three tram stops into the centre. Furthermore, the hotel is near by all the museums. The room was big and very clean. The breakfast was perfect overall me and my boyfriend loved the hotel and hope to be back in the near future with friends. Would definitely recommend without a doubt!

Lovely hotel. Clean room and very helpful staff would definitely recommend. Situated in a quiet area and only 5 mins away on the tram into dam square.
