Reviews
Location, rooms, service - ever is perfect!
We highly recommend it as a great stay in Warsaw!
I have real difficulty in understanding why would it be a five star hotel. Be that as it may, the hotel was not able to deliver the room that is the same as the pictures shown. None of the pictures as shown is the same as the room that I was given. The Hotel was trying to explain that they are of the same type, but in fact, the room was small and with only one window beside the bed, far from being of the same type. The reason given was wholly unconvincing. It goes without saying that whenever you offer good or services, you’ll give out what you have shown to the potential purchaser. Worse still, hours were spent on sorting out this issue with the Hotel, but was completely in vain. It was a complete waste of time.
Also, there is some issue with the manner of its staff. I’m not sure if it is because we are Asians, whenever the staff talked to us, they were in such a poker face. I say so because I observed that whenever the staff talked to the western people, they were far more energetic and passionate. Such a contrast existed before I even spoke to the staff so I can eliminate the possibility that it was our interaction that caused the problem.
In addition, I stayed for more than one night and I sorted the things in the room to clean up the space for work. However, the next day when I came back to the room, the staff put back everything to the original position, so that I have to do exactly the same thing again, wasting my time in such housekeeping matter.
In short, I will never go to this hotel again. I would unreservedly recommend all my friends and relatives not to go to this hotel as well. There are way better options in the city with cheaper prices.
The only thing is the rooms are big but awkwardly shaped- you have to go to the couch to see the TV and the overall layout of the room is not a conventional hotel.
Other than that, the hotel has an old boutique charm.
The truly exceptional quality of the hotel is the staff, especially the front desk manager Paulina. This is a true hospitality professional who is exceptional at her job. She has a big smile, warm personality, she remembered our names, printed our tickets, recommended restaurants and more.
We can’t recommend this terrific location and staff higher.
We used Ubers to taxi us about and saved a load of money.
Hotel taxi to the airport was 400 and an Uber was 100.
Problems started even before check-in - the hotel doesn't have its own parking, which creates significant inconvenience for guests with cars.
Then we were given a terrible room on the 3rd floor with a noisy ventilation system and dirty floor tiles. After complaining, we were moved, but the second room was as dark as a basement.
The room condition left much to be desired:
- Old, gloomy furniture that doesn't match the photos on the website
- Dirty tiles in the bathroom
- Gray, hard towels that looked like they had been used to clean the floor
- Worn-out, threadbare bathrobes
- Non-functioning scales in the room
- Uncomfortable bed and terrible pillows
The cherry on top was being woken up at 8:30 AM by a maid knocking to clean. This is absolutely unacceptable for a hotel of this claimed level.
We were forced to leave the hotel a day earlier than planned. Despite all the inconveniences, the reception only agreed to refund half the cost of the unused day.
I absolutely do not recommend this hotel. It's not worth the money and completely fails to meet the standards of a 5-star establishment. The lack of parking, poor quality of rooms and service - all of this makes staying here extremely unpleasant. I hope that the relevant authorities will inspect this hotel and adjust its category to match the actual level of service provided.
