Hotel Flamingo in Lisbon

The hotel is under construction until March 2026. I can't understand why they didn't close the hitel for a moth , finish the work and open again. We ask refound cause too much noisy and water problems. The owner is not respectful with their employees and customers.

The location was very good. Walking distance to everywhere, also to Metro and buses. No traffic noise night time.
The room was quite tidy but a bit worn out.
The shower was horrible, only icecold water.. We complained about that, but it didn`t help. Also the renovation of the hotel was quite noisy..

This hotel is 50-40% cheaper than any hotel in this area, hence, you can't ask too much. Yet, this hotel is way below the bar of what you can expect for your 70 EUR per night in Lisbon. The location is central, but I don't recommend it for tourists either. Rare restaurants around are expensive and snobby. There is only 1 humble coffee shop walking distance around and 1 grocery store with overpriced, but fairly good selection.
And it pretty much wraps up the list of positive things I can tell about this legendary place.
The room is definitely clean, but it looks dirty and extremely outdated. The furniture is depressively cheap and tasteless. Rooms are microscopic and dark.
The "best" part is the bathroom though. You will discover officially the first single-use hand-wash basin in human history. It will fill up itself with water after the first use and force you to use shower instead. The shower will try to kill you each time you will try to climb this exotic base, please be careful. Hairdryer with mysterious and controversial title "elite basic" certainly was never designed to make it 21st century, therefore it is obviously single-use too. It also takes ages to dry even a humble male haircut.
In summary, I recommend to avoid this hotel by any means. If you can't afford a better place, search for another district in Lisbon. There are fair, tasteful and clean places to stay, which deserve your attention.
