Wonderful little hotel. Friendly staff. Great location. Everything you need is within walking distance.

The location is convenient, and the rooms, though small, are cozy. The bathroom is a bit small, as is the toilet. The clothes hanger hooks in the closet are fixed inside and cannot be removed. There are two theaters next to the hotel, and it's just minutes from the train station, making it very convenient to get to Sintra.

I had booked a standard double room with a city view, but I was given a classic room overlooking the courtyard, which was very dark. I was disappointed from the moment I arrived. As for cleanliness, the housekeeping left much to be desired: I found a hair in the bathrobe and left it on the floor, but it wasn't picked up during my entire stay. This experience was nothing like what was advertised or what I expected.

It was great and the staff were lovely. Ideal location. The restaurant isn’t the top one but it’s really nice to have at your convenience and the wine selection is worth taking a look at!

Superb place! Very well located with a clean and spotless room! Garden view, so very peaceful. Everything was perfect and the breakfasts were excellent! I would gladly return!

The location is excellent, with bus, train, and subway stops nearby and a restaurant district nearby. The accommodations are also quite clean. Water and towels are changed daily. Even on Friday and Saturday nights, the place is quiet and not noisy.

Small boutique hotel, love all the small details in the room and around the hotel. Breakfast choice is limited but it’s very nice and hearty especially with the made to order eggs and fresh squeeze orange juice. Location is very good.

Very nice visually attractive interior. Food is tasty. We recommend the oven baked rabbit with potatoes for two. Personnel is nice and prompt (we ate at mid day). Location is great. Near main food street area.

Except of the great building (you should just go inside and look around) it was a horrible experience. We asked for 2 baskets of bread and some olives, butter and some other stuff - as written in on the menu- as a starter and the waiter told us he "will bring a nice plate for us". After 20min of waiting we asked for the bread and received a "just wait a few minutes". The waiter came with a basket with 9 slices of bread - 3 were end pieces - for 4 people and a normal plate with olives like the couple next to us had. No butter, we had no own plates. So we asked for some olive oil and some salt and some plates and it was no friendly reaction of the waiter. We saw also that other tables got directly their bread and olive oil, so we wondered why we were treated different. He brought us the things we asked for without a word and came with the main courses just 5 min afterwards. So we had no Time to eat the olives and the bread. He cleared the plates for the bread during we used the plates also without a word. And the main courses were not what we expected. The lamb was good but could be served warmer, with fried potatoes you can't do much wrong but the vegetables were just cold. Over all we felt discriminated because the other tables were treated much better than us. Overall the food was just okay but the unfriendly service ruined everything.

Great ambiance. Traditional Portuguese dishes that were well executed. And service was impeccable. A bit pricey compared to other eatery but you get what you pay for.

Overpriced (average dish price 30 eur, for such price I would normally expect chefs compliments for free as well as bread), average food (tasted as it was warmed up, restaurant is overrated, not impressed. First time google rating was misleading.

Old-world atmosphere and elaborate service. But to what end? The food is bland. The prices are crazy by Portugal standards (34 euros for a seafood entree plus you'd have to order vegetables on the side for another 10-16 euros). At 9 pm on a weekday the restaurant had a 100% tourist clientele (mostly Asian-Americans). The food actually doesn't seem Portuguese. More like "continental" food as would have been done in the 1950s in a U.S. city.

Decent food. Service could be improved... We ordered a 2nd bottle of wine, it took a long time for it to be brought to our table. By that time dinner was over and we cancelled the order, yet the server still insisted that we should pay for it despite the fact the bottle had not been opened yet. We did not pay for it in the end, but it was annoying. Bathroom needs an extreme makeover and some serious cleaning.

One of the best meals we had in a long time. Great service, friendly staff and a good cook! I wish we had a restaurant like this back home.
If you like banana go for the banana prawn, you won't be disappointed.
