I booked this hotel because it had high reviews on Expedia and seemed like a good choice. The staff were friendly, but not very well informed. We met several people during our stay and kept getting conflicting information. Our room was in good condition but we had several issues with it. First off, the bathroom shower diverted didn’t work so shower was always working when water was turned on and water lever fell off. To their credit, it was repaired the following day. We also had a major issue with the temperature control as it was not functional. We also had a non-opening window, which led to a room that was very damp, this unfortunately was never resolved. When I mentioned it to the gentleman upon checkout, he apologized and shrugged his shoulders. The room safe was just terrible and didn’t function. It looked like something they bought off of Temu. Our blow dryer kept shutting off from overheating. Our friends also struggled with getting their room serviced. They put out the card on the door knob, but it took two days for someone to clean the room. All these things mentioned can easily be remedied with a bit of motivation. We did enjoy the free coffee in the mornings. I would recommend this hotel, taking into consideration the potential shortcomings.

Two suggestions for the hotel-
1. Have somewhere for vehicle pickup & drop off as parking in nearby streets is very limited.
2.given the relationship between reception & the hotel lift, the area to be crossed should be cleared of unlevel  sections for baggage wheels to traverse

Very disappointing experience at Keavan’s Port.

I visited with a group of friends. Everyone in the group was old enough and had valid ID. I did not have my German ID card with me, but I was able to provide a valid German passport to prove both my identity and age.

Despite this, I was the only person in the group refused entry. I was completely sober, polite, clearly of legal drinking age and had caused no problems whatsoever.

I fully understand and respect that venues need to check identification. What I do not understand is why a valid government-issued German passport was not accepted as sufficient proof of age and identity.

Being singled out and excluded from my group despite being able to prove who I was and that I was old enough made the whole experience very unpleasant. Unfortunately, this left a very negative impression of the venue.

Location is the highlight of this hotel. Nothing else is a positive.

We had two rooms booked, we arrived 20 mins before our check-in time and the staff tried to charge us an early check-in fee of €20 which is bizarre(either the rooms are ready to be checked into now, or they are not). We denied this and decided to wait the 20 mins. The hotel staff then checked us in and put the two rooms on the complete opposite side of each other, we had to walk so far to each others room - which was more of an inconvenience that anything else.

Lastly, the cleanliness of the rooms was terrible. Staff did not clean the surfaces during our week long stay, didn’t remove cups, and as you’ll see from my photos, made the bed with the previous nights bedding. We also didn’t get fresh towels and had to ask reception 3 times for new towels. There was also a dirty sock under our bed(again highlighting that the staff do not clean the rooms properly).

The food from the restaurant is also disgusting.

The Ryanair of hotels.

I would not stay here again.

Really enjoyed staying at this hotel. It was close to the city center
The on-site pub had very decent food at very reasonable prices.

Genuinely one of the nicest hotel experiences I've had in a while. The place itself is lovely, but the staff are what set it apart. Kadie walked me to my room personally, took her time explaining everything, and even gave me a thoughtful heads up about using the open WiFi carefully for sensitive stuff. It's exactly the kind of detail that shows someone is paying attention and actually cares about the guests, not just going through the motions.

A big thank you to Kadie specifically. You made the difference. The whole vibe of the place just feels warm and welcoming from the moment you arrive. Highly recommend.

Overall, it's one of the cheaper hotels in Dublin, and is just a 15 to 20 minute walk from St Stephens Green, and Grafton Street. My girlfriend, and I stayed stayed here for two nights and we really enjoyed it. Like many other reviews say, the shower does not drain properly at all. You need to keep the water pressure low, and be prepared to sacrifice your towels. When we asked for extra towels, it did take them a bit to get to our room, but that's really my only complaint. The bar is nice, and since it's a weatherspoons the food, and drink is dirt cheap. No room service with the food, but you can go down to the bar, order and bring your food or drink back up to your room. And if you don't feel like eating in the hotel there's a nice selection of small local restaurants nearby. Staff was nice, and very helpful. I do wish the room had a fridge, but it's not a necessity, and you can easily get by without it. I would gladly stay here again.

The food was exceptional, the room was beautiful and the location was top class! I booked it for a concert in the 3Olympia, and with it’s location so close to Dublin Castle, Temple Bar and the 3Olympia, you would be foolish not to stay! 11/10

Great Stay
Very comfortable and quiet hotel. The atrium style bar and restaurant was really bright and lovely. The area is very walkable, close to transit, and away from the loud crowds of Temple Bar. I would stay here again.
