Stayed for one night before return to UK at christmas . Initially provided with adjoining room and occupants very noisey. Requested a change to an alternative King Deluxe room which was sorted promptly. Didnt eat in hotelbut would definately stay again.

Beautiful main areas, the dining options/breakfast were great! The rooms are spacious although the bathroom shower could have been better and a bit cleaner. Also the location is outside of Dublin and taxi costs can add up if you plan on going into the city.

It is a great hotel. Room was very comfortable. Staff very friendly. Bus Stop outside the hotel which is very convenient.

It was a great stay overall. The location was perfect. It was near the center of Dublin. But was set in a quiet neighborhood just outside it. It is a doable walk to a park set along the water. I loved the Medieval Theme. The staff was friendly. The rooms were spacious and clean. The dual shower heads are a nice setup. .Request a view of the front of the hotel. The only potential negative is the distance from the airport and the train.

The hotel is beautiful and steeped in history. Breakfast was very nice and location is convenient for the airport. My only issue was we stayed in room 003 and in the morning about 4am delivery trucks starting driving back and forth down the side alley which actually woke us up as the window was open. One of the trucks even decided to back up down the alley with a constant beep beep beep which was really annoying. I'm not sure why he just didn't turn around but clearly he chose not to. The other small issue was the shower took forever to drain but this is an easy fix which the hotel said they would look after. Other than that, the stay was wonderful.

This hotel is a real gem in Dublin. Absolutely stunning building and it's really impressive how well preserved everything is in this old castle that feels so special. I loved my stay and will definitely come back if I get the chance!

Beautiful castle, great room and breakfast. The restaurant downstairs was also nice and the staff super friendly.

Hi had dinner with my partner in Farenheit grill on a friday evening. The staff were lovely and the place was clean and comfortable. They were hosting a function in the hotel and this did leave them a little understaffed. That said still enjoyed the food and wine. Would go back
October 2016.

As a severe allergy sufferer to eggs and nuts, going out to eat is incredibly anxiety provoking and many places I've been to (home in Ireland or abroad) have either half killed me or don't take me seriously and so service in many places do not promote much confidence which is why I don't ever return to them. Last night I was at the Fahrenheit restaurant to celebrate a 3 year wedding anniversary with my wife. Going for dinner can be anxiety provoking for her too but this restaurant was impeccable. From the moment we walked in, the young gentleman, Jamie Hickey (I believe there are two jamies), gave a very warm welcome and he asked if it was an occasion. I said it was our anniversary and he sent me off to have a drink at the bar whilst he set up a large table by the bay windows with rose petals scattered around it for myself and my wife. A wonderful surprise as it was totally unexpected. Melanie, who then came to take our orders and welcome us (I think she was the manager) filled us with confidence and reassurance surrounding my allergies. From there it was a truly fantastic evening of amazing food from the kitchen and really attentive and caring service. Melanie was double checking everything with the kitchen and the attitude was 'nothing is impossible' in terms of the menu. There was full confidence in the kitchen. The menu was very clear re allergens too. All of the food was cooked to perfection (scallops, pork belly, Halibut, Salmon). I even got to have dessert (White Choc Panna cotta with an array of nibbles on the plate!!). This is a novelty for me. I'm usually told... 'we can do you some fruit maybe' or... 'you can't have anything'. The plate of dessert had written on it, in chocolate sauce, 'Happy Anniversary'. A Lovely touch. We've never been so relaxed and enjoyed eating out so much. We knew we were in good hands. Thank you to all of the staff in Fahrenheit and the Knights bar (the afters!). You pulled out all of the stops which made it all the more special. So, a special thank you to Melanie, Jamie (Hickey) and of course the kitchen for a memorable evening. We'll be back soon.

Where to start? Our experience staying and eating both lunch and dinner at the Clontarf Castle was exceptional and one of the best dinners we have had in years. We had the salmon and the sirloin steak with Parmesan and mushroom and it. Was. Perfect. The drinks were delicious, the starters were outstanding and the people who waited on us--Hakim and Tom--were both the absolute best. We plan ro return and plan to use Clontarf as a base from which to explore and discover more of Dublin and Ireland. Our experiences there were perfect in every way. We cannot speak highly enough of our time there.

We were there on a vacation. The food was great, the staff was amazing, and the service was above reproach. I cannot speak highly enough of the restaurant. We cannot wait to return.

Where to start? Well, it took three e-mails, none of which were replied to, and two phone calls to book Sunday lunch. While booking, I was asked if the meal was for a special occasion. It was, an 80th birthday, but no mention of this was made on the day by any member of staff.
We had five servers - two of whom were very good, the other three were appalling. One waiter, continually addressed my six year old son as "Sweetie", which was totally inappropriate. When the deserts, tea and coffee were served, one of our party was completely forgotten about, and did not receive their desert and tea until the other four of us had finished.
When the so called waiter finally brought the pot of tea to the table, it was stainless steel on a saucer, which is quite unstable, and then stretched over three of us to place it on the table. The slightest movement would have spilled the hot tea over all of us. Totally unprofessional.
As for the meal itself - three of us had lamb which was way overcooked. My son had chicken and chips, which to my shock, were of the frozen variety. Not what I expected from such an establishment.
Overall, it was a very disappointing experience. Poor service, below average food, and for what it was, way overpriced.
Would not recommend under any circumstances for any occasion.
We will never darken their doors again.
The one star is because the review can't be posted without that minimum.
