Reviews
The Norseman is a well rounded single friendly restaurant. I went to the bar and was amply impressed with the selections.
The only complaint about this hotel is the noise. The noise from the street is exceptional. However, the view is amazing when you are on the top floor overlooking the river.
Great location for walking around Temple Bar!
The room itself was fine. I was surprised at how quiet it was for being RIGHT in the middle of the Temple Bar area! The receptionist was very friendly and helped me call a taxi to the airport when I needed it. The location is perfect.
Ask for a quiet room because you are right in the middle of the Temple Bar area (I did and it was surprisingly quiet until the drunks come in late night). The beds and pillows left a little to be desired, as they were fairly low quality, but you get what you pay for in that area I guess. The breakfast was included but wasn't clear where to go as it's not in the same building.

The place was AMAZING! Right in the heart of the city on the river. Safe and secure. Staff was exceptionally helpful. Room was clean and comfortable and large bathroom.

Small, amazing concert venue. Also featured on the Dublin Rock & Roll experience Tour, alongside the recording studio across the road.

Great venue for live-music! Upstairs area is much better ventilated than downstairs

The food was excellent (with a small exception with the side salad, which was disappointing). The steak was especially delicious. Service was very attentive and friendly. Unfortunately, I found the atmosphere a little "sterile". Wanted to be seated downstairs, but that was full. I think it is much nicer and cozy down there. The upstairs dining area was a bit too formal and not very fun (after all, you should be having fun in Dublin!). A minus point for the bathrooms. VERY DIRTY and it seemed they weren't cleaned for days. If you have a nice restaurant, don't forget the washrooms.

La Caverna is a cosy restaurant. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It's also well priced being quite reasonable.
However the food is not traditional Italian. The menu is more like a standard Irish restaurant serving some pasta and pizza. If you have been in a traditional Italian restaurant you could not confuse it with La Caverna. The food was very average. The calzone I had was over filled mess of ingredients, which was then covered in tomato sauce and more cheese. The starters were the usual Irish starters (chicken wings, spring rolls,(!) goats cheese in pastry etc), the minestrone soup was ok but over seasoned. I was surprised it was rated so highly here. It probably deserves a 2.5 but I can't give that and it's not a 3.

I brought my boyfriend abroad for his first time and on his birthday and started communicating with Monika at La Caverna months before my arrival. Not only did she go above and beyond to make custom requests for me to make his and my night special but the food and our waiter waiter Lucas were outstanding! We will absolutely be returning here again!

Really nice food, friendly staff, affordable and good location

Nice and modern interior.
I expected more flavour and spiciness from the food, but got plain kinda-like-mexican food. Plus the waitress clearly was not interested in the clients. You can find better places to eat Mexican food in Dublin. Pricewise it's ok & they have lunch deals.

I didn't enjoy eating here at all. We came here to celebrate my sister's hen do - I didn't feel very taken care of. There were 12 of us, a server came and took drinks for only 4 and then didn't come back to get orders for the rest of us.
The food was extremely oily.
The toilets were unclean. No toilet roll in either cubicle so I had to ask. There was tissue all over the floor that wasn't cleaned up even when they finally replenished the toilet roll. No sanitary towel bin, just an open waste basket you were meant to use.

Very standard Mexican fair with little imagination and matching presentation. With an envious spot in the Italian quarter, far more could have been done to make this a viable and exciting offering in a town that is overflowing with burritos and tapas. Too much cheese on the mains and the oil that the fries were cooked in had been multi purpose for a couple of weeks as you could taste everything else that had been in it. The price is not so bad though but still not reflective of what you end up with.
