I stayed here for a week… 3 nights while I stayed, the tv audio went off by itself.. the tv was off but you can hear the audio.. and it all happened around the same time 3am. I don’t know if this place is haunted but that was super weird.. overall it was a clean place. I did not like how the front desk guys acted towards us.. one morning at 6:30am we were waiting for a pre booked tax. We had stepped outside briefly and walked back inside to wait for the taxi since it was raining. One of the front desk guys walked in and was asking if we were staying at the hotel.. I guess he thought we weren’t guests there? But the way he asked us over and over was rude. We literally stepped outside briefly and decided to wait inside due to the rain and this guy behind questioning. Cons: potentially haunted, no refrigerator in the room, the housekeeping would knock if you didn’t have a do not disturb sign on, front desk staff always seemed annoyed. I guess the only pros are location and cleanliness.

Excellent location and a decent hotel. My room (135) was a decent size but really noisy throughout the night and every morning as it was directly opposite a delivery point and there was constant very loud noise. Ear plugs were noted upon arrival which was a red flag. Stay was decent but upon leaving I asked, very nicely, if we could have a taxi for the airport. The receptionist said that he couldn't do that service and I should either wait outside or book one using an app. Really disappointing end to the stay. Not sure if I'd stay there again. I get the outside noise cant be helped, but you should be notified if this was to be the case as I'm a very light sleeper.

Great location. Most activities are nearby.
Friendly & helpful staff.
Room & Bed size is very small. In regular room, it is difficult to open your large suitcase & still move around.
Small Maintenance issue especially in the washrooms.
Coffee machine in the lobby area not working.

Location was central. Smack in the middle of everything. The room was spacious, clean and guarantees a good night sleep. Tbf, it was a Saturday (7/12/2025-9/12/2025) but we didn’t hear any noise despite facing the main road. Only grouse would be , for the amount paid, as it was indeed winter, the room didn’t have a heater which was rather inconvenient as you’d need to have your sweater on all the time. Otherwise, everything was great, the front desk were really good just a little uncoordinated at times as we got varying information about laundry pick up which meant we couldn’t do laundry because of their misinformation.

We hosted an event at this venue and everything was wonderful. The team was very supportive from the beginning and always helped us with all our needs. On the event day, the onsite staff was amazing — they went the extra mile and handled even last-minute unexpected situations with kindness and professionalism.

The waiters were great, the food was very tasty, and the room setup was perfect for our group. We are very happy with the whole experience and really recommend this venue.

The food was excellent (with a small exception with the side salad, which was disappointing). The steak was especially delicious. Service was very attentive and friendly. Unfortunately, I found the atmosphere a little "sterile". Wanted to be seated downstairs, but that was full. I think it is much nicer and cozy down there. The upstairs dining area was a bit too formal and not very fun (after all, you should be having fun in Dublin!). A minus point for the bathrooms. VERY DIRTY and it seemed they weren't cleaned for days. If you have a nice restaurant, don't forget the washrooms.

La Caverna is a cosy restaurant. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It's also well priced being quite reasonable.
However the food is not traditional Italian. The menu is more like a standard Irish restaurant serving some pasta and pizza. If you have been in a traditional Italian restaurant you could not confuse it with La Caverna. The food was very average. The calzone I had was over filled mess of ingredients, which was then covered in tomato sauce and more cheese. The starters were the usual Irish starters (chicken wings, spring rolls,(!) goats cheese in pastry etc), the minestrone soup was ok but over seasoned. I was surprised it was rated so highly here. It probably deserves a 2.5 but I can't give that and it's not a 3.

I brought my boyfriend abroad for his first time and on his birthday and started communicating with Monika at La Caverna months before my arrival. Not only did she go above and beyond to make custom requests for me to make his and my night special but the food and our waiter waiter Lucas were outstanding! We will absolutely be returning here again!

Good restaurant and bar with comfortable seating. An old bank, the decor is grand. Came here 8pm on a Sunday night and was lucky to get a table.

Casual venue with beautiful architectural details, conveniently located in the city centre and easily accessed by all means of transportation.
Food and desserts are quite good but could improve. This place is definitely recommended for drinks with friends or watching sports.
