Hotel Ambasador, Bucharest1 / 15
7.7
Bucharest, Bulevardul General Gheorghe Magheru, 8-10 (in the centre) 🧭 Map
I was traveling on business, so the Hotel location was one of the reasons I picked Hotel Ambasador. You can also get easier to great places for dinner in a 10/15 minutes walking. The common areas cleaning may have been what I experienced as not so good, considering its a 4* Hotel. The room was good, comfortable enough and the personal was quite friendly and enjoyable.
Location was good. The room was a bit dated. All in all. OK
The room was excellent. It was large and spacious, with good facilities and extremely comfortable. I particularly liked that there were balcony-doors that I could open and listen to the sounds of the city and relax. The breakfast was delicious and had plenty of selection.
Hello , I spent two nights in this hotel, it was very warm, not noisy, the room was in good condition. The only negative is that the hotel is empty, I was alone and it was a little scary. And I constantly had to go down from the 8th floor back to the reception because my key card didn’t work. If you need an iron or a toothbrush with toothpaste, ask at the reception. I was allowed to leave my luggage...
Great value hotel centrally located in Bucharest. Maximum 15-20 min walk to the old town and nightlife areas. Clean rooms with TV, fridge, small balcony, good shower and helpful staff, supermarket across the road. Breakfast is basic but enough to keep you full until the afternoon. Thanks again - I’ll definitely be back!
The room was clean and nice. Top floor recommended. The staff at the reception very friendly. Mr. Anghel is awesome and listen to our requests. Overall a nice experience and definitely will consider Ambasador Hotel on our list when we will come to Romania. Thank you for making our stay a very pleasant one.

Bucharest, SOSEAUA ORHIDEELOR NR.12b, 12B (60 min from centre) 🧭 Map
Very hospitable, warm, tram stop 3min walk away to the hotel. There's a large Carrefour shopping center, McDonalds etc and taxis 5min into the heart of Bucharest . There's a lake like about 10- 15min walk. It's impressive, it's massive.
Absolutely happy with this hotel. Staff were absolutely amazing. Rooms comfortable and location for our festival was perfect!!!
Rooms offer a poor experience but if you’re looking for a one night place to crash, this is your place. Design wise, the hotel offers room that look like rooms from communist era, with green bathrooms (weird colors), I was pretty disappointed by their customer service, it was slow! And I received a call to check out after I had already checked out from the hotel.
It's a bit far from the central station, but there are Carrefour and shopping malls nearby, which is very convenient. The room is comfortable and has air conditioning, but there were some small cockroaches when I first came in. The hotel was very good to provide me with insecticide
Nice "oldschool" hotel, with magazines and tourist flyers at the reception desk. Nice, clean comfortable room. There is no dedicated parking lots from what I could tell, or not enough, but the clerk can point you to a public parking very close by (1 minute down the road) with plenty of spaces when I arrived and free of charge. Friendly and helpful staff. The heater in the room can get a little loud...
Fair VFM, place to sleep but not more. This is a bare-bones hotel, located a short walk from a shopping center and a longer walk from the train station. Checkin and staff were fine, room was a little small but clean, wifi worked fine. Had a minibar fridge and enough storage space. There was no breakfast - restaurant seems to be permanently closed. Some vending machines in the lobby.

Lovely clean modern hotel with friendly staff. Coffee shop linked to hotel is perfect with a huge range of drinks on the menu. No oat milk though! Rooms are clean and comfortable. Did get quite warm in room and couldn’t work air con. As it’s on a busy road there was too much road noise if you wanted the window open. About a 30 minute walk to the old town and about 39 mins from the airport. Taxis...
Was upgraded to a lovely suite with living room area. Even though this hotel is titled as Unirii Square it is still a fair walk away and most of the Square was closed for renovations. Breakfast was decent and quiet. Traffic around Bucharest is very challenging including outside the hotel. Reasonably priced minibar in room.
The experience was great! The hotel is quiet and peaceful. I recommend it!
The hotel is located in the city center, with convenient transportation and parking at the door. The room is clean, tidy and comfortable. It is not luxurious but has a high cost performance. The breakfast is also good, and the menu changes a little every day.
There was no water in the room, so you had to buy it yourself. There's a gym on the second floor, so it's best to bring your own water. The water in the water dispenser wasn't replaced. There was also a power outage in the morning, which didn't come back on for two or three hours.
The rooms are quite big. It was very clean. Location is ok but far from the old town.

Perfect welcome, the room is super equipped with an electric bed and very comfortable mattresses, in the bathroom nothing is missing there are also bathrobes and slippers two bottles of water in the room, biscuits and pods for the Nespresso excellent and varied breakfast I absolutely recommend it
The room was amazing and incredible value. Everything was clean and great condition and it was in an amazing location. All the staff were welcoming and friendly. I couldnt reccomend this hotel more.
The hotel is conveniently located and the service is friendly. Breakfast includes eggs, bread, dairy products, freshly squeezed juice, fresh fruit, various nuts, and other healthy ingredients – truly commendable!
From airport transport to check out, excellent! Courteous staff, clean rooms, included breakfast (with lots to offer), all was spot on.
A modern, well appointed room, and responsive staff. Near central location made sight-seeing easy. A good range of self serve breakfast options made a great start to the day. And the tour options offered were excellent.
Loved the quirky nature of the hotel. Breakfast was good, the staff and service were great. One drawback was the number of stairs though there is one small elevator. Quiet location not too far from the centre of town

The room was spacious and clean. I also liked that the toilet and shower were separate. The breakfast was a buffet with a good variety and taste!
This clean, budget-friendly hotel near the North Train Station exceeded all expectations for its category and price. The room facilities are simple but good in every aspect, with everything you need. The shower and toilet are in the room; the bathroom door is thin but acceptable. 📍Right outside is the 🚇 Gara de Nord [North Train Station] [M1, M3] metro entrance, and Bucharest North Train Station...
Basic but everything you need. Short uber ride to most attractions. Can walk into centre if energetic
Hotel is just beside the train station. Easy to move around, abit distance from old town, but taking bus is ok The breakfast is ok. But is a building beside the hotel.

Was dreading going here from the reviews I’d read but honestly had a lovely stay. We had the deluxe suit and thought it was lovely the staff went above and beyond with everything. For what I paid and considering it’s România I really believe the hotel was worth the money only thing is I’d recommend they did English food as an option especially on breakfast.
Air condition didn't work as it should.
Lovely hotel Stayed 2 nights. All amenities required are available. Fridge, kettle, even slippers and dressing gown... Quite a good selection available for breakfast and staff on hand for any assistance required Bed comfy... only downside is the outside noise but not in the hotel's control
It is not a 4 star that's clear ! Spa they said is under maintenance..i dont rhink but anyway ...breakfast a la carte ...the restaurant is only open for breakfast not other moment in the day . Is not like the phoenicia quality that we expected. The heating sistem does nor work in some rooms we had to change the room and finally still used an electric heater ( that also affecter the electricity )
Spent 3 nights at this resort earlier this month and it was a great stay! We paid for an upgrade to the oceanfront cabana, which was worth the price. The beach views, calm ocean and ability to watch the sunset on our patio were highlights of the trip! No hot, but warm water & a very strong smell of chemical (cleaning) products that made me cough constantly. Thick carpet & run down decor.
The room was large and very warm, good wi fi, free parking , good breakfast, value for money. The hotel is far from the center but near the metro station. There are a lot of shop if you walk 5-10 minutes and a large mall that you can do shopping.

A hotel that's clearly seen better days. It still maintains its 4 stars, but it's a rather old building with facilities to match. That said, the rooms are very nice, clean, quiet, and comfortable. Located in the old town, the hotel is quite old. Be aware that you need to buy your own water daily, as they only provide water for one day regardless of your stay. Breakfast is simple. It's not good value for money, and the rooms are indeed very old. The staff are quite nice.

I booked this hotel as it’s in a great location and only 10 minutes walk from where I needed to get picked up for a day tour. Check in was easy, even though I had to wait a while as a big group arrived just before I did and there was only one receptionist working. Absolutely amazing hotel in a great location. Staff are nicest I've met in along time and so helpful. I will definitely come back to stay and would 100% recommend this hotel to anyone. Breakfast was great and had enough choice.
Our only complaint is the slamming of doors and no soundproofing of rooms (there were twins in the next room that screamed nonstop). There are gaps under the door so you do hear everything.
Hotel with a grate location. Close to the parlament and old town. Lots of restaurants within a short walk. I enjoyed the comfortable bed and the large room. Breakfast was ok, but could be a little better

The management team made my stay easy and convenient. This hotel/apartment is in one of the BEST parts of Bucharest, lots of great food and shopping nearby. The lobby looked great.. And the service was awesome! From front desk to the kitchen staff! The room was very small and the 3 single beds made it smaller.. The sockets ware blocked by the beds.. Old blankets and the mattress have seen better days.. Very close to the train station.. Good for proximity.. Bad for noise..
The location near the train station is great, barely 5 minutes from the platforms. Due to the lack of air conditioning, the rooms are incredibly warm. I therefore advise against booking this hotel when it's below 25°C. As soon as the window is open, you can hear the noise from the railway yard. The price is undoubtedly great, but they should at least have fans in the rooms!
The location was convenient as it was close to the station. The cleaning was not good and I was not sure if the towels were changed. The floor, which was clean, was dirty after the cleaning.
The nearest station is Bucharest North Station, which is one train ride away from Henri Coanda Airport. It's about a 5-minute walk. The area around the station has a bad vibe, but the hotel was fine. The hallways were generally dark because the lights were turned on by motion sensors. There was a restaurant in the basement of the hotel, which was open and had good service.

Very clean rooms, good location next to the bus stop, kind personnel, delicious breakfast.
The surroundings are just okay, but the main draw is the cheap price.
Firm bed and comfortable bedsheets. Good breakfast. Challenge us tge room faced noisy main road and part of window does not have curtains and us bright in the early morning. The biggest challenge is shower water volume is small, trickles like your pee volume
The hotel itself is very old but inside it is beautiful and very clean, I really liked the paintings of a local artist, breakfasts are 3 out of 5. I liked everything, thank you 🫶🏻
The hotel is okay, but not great, as you can't adjust the air conditioning. There's only one duvet cover for the beds.

Really nice friendly hotel. Not far walk to the metro and the big supermarket. Alex at the reception was absolute diamond. He was really kind polite and really caring. He made my stay really special. Thank you
The breakfast was good. There was a variety that allowed one to eat healthy. The reception was excellent and they accommodated our needs. They were supportive and I liked the ability to connect to the hotel through WhatsApp, which facilitated calling taxis.
Front desk officer was very helpful and kindly. After mistake in reservation he fixed it for us. Very good hotel.
The room is cost-effective, but there is no soundproofing or light transmission, and the traffic on the road is too noisy.
Facilities: quite distinctive, with a side building of the main building Cleanliness: Very clean, the room is cleaned every day Environment: relatively good, very close to Carrefour Service: Relatively quiet, very good service, prompt cleaning and very clean
The rooms were of good standard. However the breakfast was not particularly good, so we dicided not to eat breakfast at the hotel. Also the reception decided to call our room at 1 in the morning waking both of us up, and had me come down to the reception to pay for the stay. I asked if I couldn’t pay when we checked out the next morning, but for some reason that wasn’t possible.

The location is wonderful accompanied by good music. Also recommended for couples with children, the terrace being spacious and with lots of greenery. The staff is customer oriented, thoughtful and asks for feedback. The food is very good and the service is impeccable.
Lovely landscaping, it really is a small park with tables. The menu is small but everything was delicious. Our waitress was charming, I'm sorry I didn't get her name. Fair prices.

Super ok. Cand o sa mai am ocazia o sa mai vin ✌️
The hotel was very warm and clean. As an inconvenience, I can note that it was divided into two buildings and the restaurant was in the third. The breakfast was poor in terms of food. Another thing that impressed every member of our company (6 people) was that the mattresses were extremely hard and uncomfortable. There are various public transport stops nearby and a huge mall is a 20-minute walk away
Very affordable and clean. Be aware the hotel is outdated but dont let that deter you. Still very good in a very walkable are and plaza mall is across the street.
