Penzion Slavia Poprad in Poprad

Nice place for a cheap stay. If you prefer to stay in the center of the city - this place is definitely not for you. Location is great if you whish to have a train station in max 5 min walk distance (from station you can go to Lomnica and Smokoviec in High Tatra mountains). Rooms are simple but very warm and good equiped (comfortable beds, large toilets, small fridge, kettle, table, chairs and tv). The bad thing is Valkyria club next to the Penzion - you can hear the music till late night hours (ear plugs are advised). The check in process was... A bitt strange. The owner dissaperad with my ID for a couple of minutes. I was a bit surprised. His wife speaks Russian very well so it was easy to communicate. The owner is Slovak speaking only. Cleaning lady is super friendly, she doesn't speak English but is always helpful and friendly - if anything needed - ask her. Just be careful while booking - it looks like they changed prices recently.

The rooms don't have an AC. But otherwise they are mostly clean. There is an adorable old man working the reception. Check in is from 14:00 but he allowed us to have the room much earlier. There is a rude guy working in the restaurant by the hotel. There is also a small shared kitchen for the hotel guests which we did not use.

Great place with generous support , there is also restaurant with some benches outside to spend evening , nearby train / bus station ,post office and pharmacy shop , ATM and supermarketswithin 5 min of walking and city centre Forum within 10

Basic, smelt of smoke but pleasant staff with limited English. Bit of a boring place, 2 days was a long time in Poprad!

Book via Internet: good rooms, warm water, cleaning good, breakfast good 3.6€, good service. WiFi free. Car parking free. For such hotel very good, home comfort. Center of city.

The place is verry relaxing, you can enjoy the surroundings verry easy. A lot of public transportation and good roads if you want to drive yourself.

Nice place, clean rooms. Railway station is not far but there were no trains diring the night. There is a kitchen and a fridge available. The owners are not yong people and they have some difficulties with language that I found not a real problem for open-minded people. All the rest was really good, so I don't really understand why Slavia has so bad rating. And be ready to pay BY CASH.

This penzion is awesome. The staff is really nice and helpful. The location is great- 5 min to the center. The room is tidy and very comfortable. I really would come there again to enjoy slovakia.
