Penzión Sibír in Vysoke Tatry

Very clean room with a balcony and a dedicated bathroom, shared kitchen with everything you need, friendly and helpful owner, good location to go on hikes, board games available for a rainy day and delicious breakfast :)

I was part of a big Australian group that stayed here for a week. I had an excellent stay. I absolutely loved my big room with balcony and view. The breakfast was great and variable each day. There was a common room that received sun so that we could have a little happy hour before going out. There was also a little kitchen to cook meals, and a fridge on each floor for us to store items. Some of us had our laundry done for a small fee. I received excellent advice on hikes from the very knowledgeable Palco. He and his mother took very good care of us! I would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

Lovely, large room. Nice breakfast, featuring mama's home-made cakes, among other things. Nothing was too much trouble for host Palco who was kind and generous to guests. Highly recommend this place for a stay.

We had a great experience here. The owner Palko is kind, gentle and consideraable. He has made big efforts to accommodate my dietary requirements - gluten and lactose free and our earlier hiking trips. The room is comfortable and clean; the breakfasts include the homemade sweets are delicious

This was the second time we booked a room here. The owner is a very kind person, promptly answered our questions before arrival and during our stay (five days). He flexibly modified our booking because of a one-day shift in our program. The house is in a very good position to approach easily tourist roots in the High Tatras. Rooms are big, clean, comfortable, equipped with everything needed for resting. We ordered breakfast, which was perfect, full enough to have a good start of a day spent with hiking. Good value of money! I am sure that we will book here again next time!

Second time coming here and it was perfect both times!! Everything was clean, beautiful view of the mountains from our room and the coordination with Palko was flawless and he helped where he could. Fyi- morning breakfast was excellent.

We had a very nice stay in one of the newly renovated rooms. The room was clean and very spacious. The owner was very friendly, helpful and gave good advice about thing to do in the aarea. All in all a very nice place to stay!

Excellent place to stay. I traveled through entire Slovakia and stopped at High Tatras for a long weekend. I am a world traveler, stayed in hundreds of hotels but I was really amazed with "Sibir" Hotel. Its family owned and operated small mountain hotel in the middle of Stary Smokovec. Location is excellent, everything was within walking distance.
It cost me only 20 Euro per night and breakfast was included, but it wasn't ordinary breakfast. Everything was homemade freshly made and very delicious.
My room had a huge balcony with incredible mountain view. Everything was spotless clean, housekeeper cleaned my room on daily basis.
People were incredible, I felt like part of family. I cant wait to come back and bring my whole family here next year.

Cute tiny hotel, very kind service. Not bad breakfast.
