Hotel Eden Nord in Soller

Room was clean - in need of refurbisbment though.
Reception staff were excellent
Restaurant staff were very busy and perhaps understaffed and came across

Nice common areas dated rooms
The common areas; pool, reception, restaurant, gym e.t.c have been refurbished to a high standard, but the rooms are still very dated.
The first room we were given getting the ac to work was temperamental, and when we woke up from a nap it had leaked a big pool of water everywhere, upon inspection there was clear water damage on the ceiling, so this mustn't have been the first time it's done that. The walls are so thin you can hear everything from the rooms next door, just them putting a plug in the wall was unbelievably loud. In both the rooms we were in neither of the balcony doors locked properly.

The hotel was brilliant location only minutes from the port. The bar and pool area were great, however the rooms were unfortunately very noisy and we could hear everyone’s conversations in the rooms next door to us so got little sleep.

I stayed at the hotel for 4 nights. I had travelled to Port d Sóller to hike for 4 days. My first night's sleep was terrible because the air conditioning in the room was not working. I therefore did not get any sleep because my room was like a sauna. The next day I contacted the reception and asked if they could fix my air conditioning. They could not/would not so I asked if I could get a cooler room, which was not possible. He recommended that I sleep with the terrace door open the next night. I did so with the result that I woke up with many mosquito bites. I contacted the reception again, but nothing happened.
In total I managed to be in dialogue with the reception 4 times, but I did not get cooling on my air conditioning or another room. It is very frustrating to be on holiday for 4 days and not get any sleep. The worst thing was that the hotel seemed completely indifferent. The last two days I did not get my room cleaned.
When I checked out, I explained my stay again and asked for compensation for this stay. They were supposed to take it up with the hotel manager and I would get a response. I have never heard back from the hotel. 
With my experience of 4 nights in a “sauna”, lack of cleaning and worst of all, a completely indifferent attitude from the hotel, I really cannot recommend staying there.
