Our first room was dirty and seemd to be emptied out and left to die, when we checkd the bed and found hair and crap aswell as on the floors ofcourse we had to get a new room. One floor up with chairs and terassa, very clean and roomy for the pretty decent price and location located very central and near all attractions and transportations Guardamar del Segura has to offer. Peacocks are also a bonus feature of this area to be seen all around the hotel.
The food and restauran we did not get to try, but they got a decent coffee and drinks machine in the lobby, and there is vending machines and stores near 24/7 if missing something in this smaller city at night times/festivos aside of peak season when most are open anyway!

Terrible Experience – Avoid Hotel Parquemar/Columbia if You Value Good Customer Service

I recently had a very disappointing experience at Hotel Parquemar/Columbia that I feel compelled to share. My family friends, who are 65 years old and do not speak the local language, had a reservation confirmed directly through the hotel’s website. When they arrived, the hotel claimed that there was no room available for them, blaming it on an alleged booking error.

Instead of helping us resolve the issue, the staff insisted it was my responsibility to sort out the problem myself, even though it was clearly a mistake on their part. When I suggested that they should verify the reservation and resolve the overbooking issue, they simply ignored me and showed a complete lack of interest.

The situation escalated to the point where the hotel staff threatened to call the police—which I agreed to, because I wanted an official record of their negligence. When the police arrived, they understood that the problem was due to the hotel’s overbooking and stated there was nothing they could do.

What made the situation even worse was the complete lack of compassion from the hotel staff. My friends, both elderly and unable to communicate in the local language, would have been left sitting on the sidewalk with nowhere to go if I hadn’t been there to help them. The hotel staff was not only unhelpful but also rude and dismissive throughout the entire ordeal.

This experience was shocking and incredibly disappointing. I strongly recommend anyone considering staying at Hotel Parquemar/Columbia to think twice. The lack of accountability and customer service is completely unacceptable. If they treat elderly guests this way, it’s clear they have no regard for their customers’ well-being.

I will never recommend this place to anyone and will make sure others are aware of this unacceptable treatment.

Run-down place that has seen better days. I used to go there often some 15 years ago, it now is a shabby and drab haunt frequented by Russians who are meeting estate agents.

This hotel is not what it says in the description. Sorry, but this was a very disapointed stay. We booked 8 nights, family 2+1. They do not speak or understand english. No refrigerator, no 24hrs reseption, no furnitures balcony, dirty/old. It was so noisy from other rooms that you could here everything, snoring, talking, music etc, The breakfast was a disaster, dry bread, the smallest toaster ever, only a few things to choose from, ham &cheese only, coffemaker out og order, big line all the time, everything got empty, had to ask them to fill up trays with food. But i think for the spanish people this is ok, but for others this is not what i expect of service. The owner sat down to have breakfast with the guest, while things got empty and the one working in the restaurant was so stressed. And the worst was when we were leaving early morning for check out, the hotel was locked! We could not get out of the hotel. We called a «emergency only» phone number, to the owner living in 3.floor. He came and had to use a key to open the door. What if it was fire???? So scary to think about. This is not allowed and this people must to learn how to run a hotel. Sorry but a big no no staying here

the most terrible service. The staff at the restaurant is terrible, especially the woman, who in fact should just clean the tables, took the fruits from our table that we wanted to eat, shouted at us that we were not alone here. And as a result, she just took a peach out of her mouth.

Is it possible to know if you have changed the mattresses in all the rooms and made a massive disinfection of entire premises after accommodating SPECIAL guests with proven cases of tuberculosis since November 2023? Really curious, cause can see that you are open again very shortly after your special guests left on July 31st.

We stayed at your hotel last night 11 Nov 2022. During the night we were cold as the heater was not working and reception was unmanned so unable to complain. This morning 12 Nov 2022 there was no water. The reception desk was unmanned as last night and the emergency number did not connect to anyone. We were unable to wash or even clean teeth, nor use toilet. This is unacceptable and disgusting. At the time of leaving this morning 10am still no one had arrived to even appologise. I feel the hotel is poorly managed and it will be the last time I stay there.

We arrived Tuesday 24th October for 2 weeks holiday. On Thursday 26th lots of single beds turned up in reception. On Friday African migrants arrived 60 of them we were told it will be 200 in a few days, On the Monday 30th all paying guest were given notice to leave that day, with no other arrangements made.

I loved the pizza we had here. The selection is great and the staff were friendly, thy even spoke basic English.
They would have 5 stars if they delivered a bit further afield. Living in El Raso, I'm outside their catchment area. ?
My one complaint is that the garlic bread was not very garlicy, but that could just be personal preference. The pizzas themselves were great.
