Alannia Guardamar in Guardamar del Segura

Arrived early afternoon… stayed in lodge number 77. No kettle, toaster, cooking utensils… Apparently, these are only supplied when you request them. Lodge is very tired and had a ‘mouldy’ smell. The shower was slow to drain… culminating in stagnant water in the shower tray, daily. Broken curtain rail. No instructions on how to operate any appliances. No fire blanket/extinguisher or fire safety instructions. 20-25 euros return taxi fare to Guardamar.

I wass first and the last time in the Guardamar del Saguro Alannia. I have not good expirience. Outside swim pool is WERY cold. Breakfast nice juice and coffee.Every time when I come to breakfast I found less food. So I paid for bungalow and breakfast for all week 1000 pound...and Im not feel great... there I hasn't good time. for the reception worker need more qualifications how need speak with customers. I have great holidays from outside Guardamar del Saguro Alannia hotel

Location is TERRIBLE. We had to rent a car. 45 minutes walk to guardamar. (1 way) Beach 20 mins walk down dirt track, not great for buggys. Staff not helpful at all (except for 1 girl/unfortunately I didn't get her name). So many staff had poor english. Had to rely on Google and other people staying to get any information for anything outside the resort. By chance found dirt track and pedestrian walk way to the Aldi/Lidl as road is too dangerous to walk from resort especially with a buggy. Not worth the risk. We cooked in our accommodation more than we should have to on holidays. Restaurant in resort (only 1). Opened at 7:30 PM . Food POOR. Buffet avoid avoid avoid. Both evenings and mornings. Hot ( use term loosely) food served in cold metal trays. choice halved when resort got a bit quieter but price didn't change. Both coffee machines leaked our last morning and staff walked by it several times. My husband had to put out the yellow warning sign. Fish fingers burnt and the oil used to fry them was old. They were vile. Pizza is okay. Got a couple of 'cocktails', barman added too much ingredients (except for alcohol, that he measured) so our cocktail was closer to juice as half of what he made was still in the blender after he filled our glasses. Shop is ok but it's hours are awful especially as no other options close by. Given a leaflet on a boat trip when you arrive and told you can get tickets in the office in advance. Enquired as might be nice to do something out of the resort as it was recommended on arrival. Santa polo port 20 mins drive away. Taxi or drive only options to get to the port. No mini bus or anything organised for day trips to places. Entertainment all in Spanish. Evening and guys around the pool. All in Spanish. Non Spanish speaking tourists can't participate. Was sad to see some children not included. Accommodation clean, towels fresh every few days. Though no kettle or toaster. Only 2 ring hob. Totally inadequate given the amount of cooking we had to do. Pools nice. Though slides only open a few hours morning and evening. Pool hours also limited. Pool bar is crap. BBQ area bare. Banished down end of the resort. Really only suitable for Spanish tourists with cars. Would NOT recommend.

Mediterranean Cabin Clean and Amazing Comfy Cabin. Friendly Neighbours mostly irish Amazing. Swimming Pool ! Amazing. Kids Arcade ! Great and Cheap ! NOW . HERES THE REASONS WHY WE WONT GO BACK . THE STAFF ! TERRIBLE AVOID ! RUDE ! SWIMMING LIFE GUARDS MR CLIPBOARD MAN AND MR WHISTLE MAN ABSOLUTE RUDE CONSTANT BUZZ KILLS AND NO FUN AT ALL NO FLOATS ALOAD IN POOL NO JUMPING IN NO FUN ! IF YOUR SPANISH AT THR POOL THEN FINE DO WHAT YOU WANT BUT IF YOUT ENGLISH THEN NO NO SIR ! ALSO ! THE WEEKENDS AT ALANNIA ITS A SPANISH INVASION ! TONS OF SPAINS COME FOR WEEKEND BREAKS POOL PACKS NO SEATS NO RULES FOR THEM ! THE FOOD ! SO SO BAD ! WOULD RATHER HAVE TAKEAWAYS WHICH WE DID EVERYNIGHT. TRUST ME WHEN I SAY THE FOOD WAS RANK DONT EVER EAT HERE ! THE SPANISH ! IF YOUR NOT FROM SPAIN BE PREPARRED TO BE LOOKED AT LIKE RUBBISH AND JUST RUDE IN GENERAL NO PLEASE OR THANKYOU AT ALL ! THE ROOM CLEANING STAFF ! DONT MAKE YOUR BEDS OR CLEAN YOUR CABINS THEY LEAVE NEW TOWLS AND BEDDING ON DOOR STEP EVERY 3 OR 4 DAYS DONT GET THAT MANY TOWELS EITHER ! THE BEACH ITS A NUDIST BEACH BUT LUCKLY NO ONE WAS NAKED WELL ONLY THE ODD COUPLE ! AND ALSO ITS THE CLOSEST BEACH TO WALK TO 20 MIN WALK THE LOCATION THERE IS NOT MUCH IN THE CITY GHOST TOWN ! IF YOU WANNA GO ANYWHERE YOU HAVE TO BOOK TAXIS ALL THE TIME VERY COSTLY ! I CANT STRESS ENOUGH YOU HAVE TO GET TAXIS EVERYWHERE !! THERE IS NOTHING AROUND YOU TO WALK TO APART FROM THE NUDY BEACH ! ON SITE ACTIVITYS THE FOOTBALL AND TENNIS ALL NEED WORK ! UPDATING ! TERRIBLE FLOORS AND ALSO THE BBQ WELL YOU NEED ALL STUFF TO USE AND ITS SO MUCKY AND DIRTY ! THE SOFTPLAY IS RUBBISH AND SMALL AND BORING ! IF YOU EVER STAY HERE THEN HERE IS SOME USEFULL NUMBERS AND APPS TO HAVE WHILST YOU STAY ! We went to this resort from the 23rd of September till the 30th. First day of getting there we went into the restaurant to have something to eat because we were starving. We were met after 10mins of waiting to a very cranky waiter who told us were we could sit even tho the place was emptied. He put is right in with what looked like people doing a an art class. Anyway we ordered our food and it looked like it was thrown together no professionalism in it at all esp when your advertised as a 5star resort. The food was very very poor. The entertainment for the children wasnt great as everything was in Spanish. They didn't care there was English speaking people there, 🙄 The location was shocking to say the least. Taxis were very hard to get, if the hotel had their own shuttle bus they would have made a fortune. We more or less either cooked inside our cabin or ordered food from takeaways, even all the people that was staying around us was doing the same. Our neighbour at the resort is pregnant and they went to eat in the restaurant one of the nights and bit into a chicken wing and it was raw inside. This place doesn't deserve 5 stars to be honest. We had to also pay into the indoor pool 9euro for an adult and €3 for a child but on top of that we all had to pay €2.50 for a swimming hat and then and extra €1.50 for flip flops to walk in there. Our sliders weren't good enough apparently 😕 Money grabbers when enough was paid for the actual holiday. I wouldn't go back here again.
