Boutique Hostal Lorca in Nerja

I had a really lovely stay at this charming little hotel. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming, and it was clear that a lot of care goes into making guests feel comfortable. The rooms were clean, cozy, and thoughtfully arranged, with everything I needed for a relaxing stay. I especially appreciated the small details that gave the place its unique character—it truly felt more personal than a larger hotel. The staff were kind, attentive, and always ready to help with a smile, which made the experience even more enjoyable. It’s the kind of place where you feel genuinely looked after. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a peaceful and pleasant stay. I would happily come back again in the future.

Best experience ever at this hostel!! Wonderful, extremely helpful hosts. It feels like your own cozy home. The location is perfect and walking distance to everything. This is such an exceptionally hospitable property with such respectful , attentive and considerate owners. Nothing was a problem and my convenience and comfort mattered so much to them. This is way above the normal level of care hotels offer in my experience and it felt like a very personal treat. Julian was like my personal butler at times !! and it's really exceptional how much time and effort he puts into each guest's stay and his stories and interest in our lives. The property is very cute , clean and comfortable, including the bed and the sitting room where I met other guests, free coffee and use of sink , utensils and microwave which was handy. A lovely , colorful, pristine terrace with a pool too made the trip extremely relaxing and restorative. Thanks so much and I will be back. The glowing reviews and ratings are well deserved. Highly recommended.

Julian and Amber are superb hosts. Highly experienced in hospitality, they bring charm, warmth and genuine desire to make your stay comfortable. The hostel is conveniently located with services on your doorstep and a few minutes walk to the centre of Nerja. The jewel in the crown is the outside space where a plunge pool, terrace, seating and olive trees give tranquility and relaxation. We have visited Nerja since 2010 staying at many fine establishments. Hostel Lorca is most definitely one we shall return to.

Having stayed close to here last year we decided to pop in & ask for a short stay. Had a short visit to this wee oasis in the centre of Nerja, it was just what we needed & was more than we expected & thanks Julien for your hospitality. Hope to see you again

This was a perfectly balanced place for our stay in Nerja. Hostal Lorca had private, hotel-style rooms alongside relaxed communal spaces that had a lovely, comfortable vibe, especially in the evenings. The rooms were spotless and the shared areas are warm, inviting and well-kept. Excellent in terms of location too. Right round the corner from Nerja bus station (where buses from Malaga/the airport stop into and buses to nearby must-sees such as Frigiliana and the Nerja Caves can be got from there too). Truly excellent coffee, bakeries, grocers (the fruit in Nerja is absolutely fantastic; local mangoes especially), a supermarket and a lovely wine club are within 5-10 minutes. Access to Nerja's beaches and its various great viewpoints are all about a 15-25 walk away with plenty of convenience stores, great restaurants, teahouses and gelato places on the way too. Be sure to ask Hostal Lorca's host, Julien, for his fantastic recommendations on all such things! Overall, you are never more than 30 minutes away from a wealth of truly wonderful places and experiences that Nerja has to offer, especially via bus. Most notably though, Julien was a truly exceptional host—calm, personable, and intuitively attentive, offering both friendly and fascinating conversation, help when needed, and plenty of space to relax and enjoy ourselves. He really made us feel welcome as if we were family or long-time friends. The whole place felt gracious, well-run, and quietly uplifting. Bringing back some food and wine to relax and enjoy out the back were highlights of the whole holiday; a testament to how comfortable and relaxed we (and other guests) were made to feel. We'll cherish the memories of this place forever and cannot recommend it enough! We'd absolutely return in a heartbeat.

The Best People! We originally booked a 14-night stay in Almuñécar, but during a short visit to Nerja we completely fell in love with the area and decided to stay instead. After moving around for a little while, we finally discovered Hostal Lorca – and it instantly felt like a home away from home. Julian and Amber couldn’t have been more helpful. From recommending fantastic restaurants to arranging transfers, nothing was too much trouble. They even went out of their way to surprise my girlfriend with a thoughtful gesture for her birthday, which meant so much to us. On our final night (day 14), we had to return to our original accommodation to collect some belongings. Knowing how much we loved Nerja, Julian invited us back the next day to use the hostel’s facilities as if we were still guests. He kindly stored our luggage, giving us the freedom to explore the town one last time before leaving. Julian even arranged our airport transfer. When we came back to collect our bags we were welcomed with two cold beers. When the taxi arrived a little earlier than expected, he insisted we finish our drinks while he carried our bags out for us. Such a genuine and thoughtful touch! We’ll definitely be back – Hostal Lorca and its wonderful hosts made our trip unforgettable. Mike & Nikita
