I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed at the reception – a big thank you to the reception team for their kindness and professionalism. The receptionist was very friendly and took the time to explain all the facilities available in the hotel, which we really appreciated. In the restaurant, the staff was also very kind and attentive. I would especially like to mention Lenuta, who provided us with helpful information about the restaurant and made our experience even better. The animation team was very active and friendly, especially with the guests and children, creating a fun and enjoyable atmosphere throughout the stay. The room was presented very well, clean and comfortable, which added to the overall positive experience. There is just one small thing I would like to mention: instead of serving cocktails and coffee in cardboard cups, which tend to break at the bottom, it would be great to find a better alternative. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and I will definitely return in August! George family

A lovely week at a great hotel, bedroom very comfortable with a balcony a partial sea view, Restaurant always something different every day and of a good standard. All inclusive good a bottle of wine or glass which ever you want. Location good straight on the sandy beach. Only 2 little niggles goodness not always very hot but there are microwaves available and no tea/ coffee facilities in the bedroom but this did not spoil a great week. Will definitely be back again.

The Best Roquetas hotel was the perfect holiday destination for our multi generational family. The hotel itself is very clean and is situated directly on the beautiful beach and alongside the promenade amongst some lovely restaurants and bars. A very quiet area. The large pool area is good for both adults and children and includes 2 small water slides, giant chess and crazy golf. The food was varied, fresh and plentiful. We travelled as a family and the accessible room allocated to one of our party was just amazing - very spacious and perfect for accommodating a mobility scooter. But the real stars of this hotel are the staff in reception, the bars, restaurant and cleaning staff alike. Always polite, efficient and very friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. We would recommend this hotel and will be returning.

Great location right on the beach, nice big clean room and very comfortable beds, bit dated and could do with a refresh. Kitchen with no kettle, although it states tea and coffee making facilities in the description. Complimentary soft drinks in fridge but no bottle opener! food was ok most days but 1 evening and nearly every lunchtime we couldn’t find anything we liked so ate out. Drinks are good although I found the tonic and lemonade tasted strange so I paid the supplement for bottled mixers. We had a lovely holiday but probably wouldn’t return.

Interesting holiday and I’ll start with the positives - Food was fine, anyone who says they can’t get something to eat are being dishonest, there were always a few choices even at the end of service Rooms - we had a sea view which was fine and had a great outlook, a little small and dated in need of some TLC but fine. Bar and drinks - plenty of good quality drinks with premium brands alongside local stuff. Some had a supplement but a lot were part of the all inclusive deal Wi-Fi seemed fine throughout the hotel and a reasonable speed On the downside - Pool area is very small for the size of hotel so you’ll be lined up like kebabs alongside others Pool rules not enforced with beds frequently taken by 08:30 and left for hours contrary to the 30 minute rule the hotel prints on the welcome information also worse was the fact that I regularly saw drunk (fine I’m not a killjoy) adults walking around in the pool with wine glasses ( as a result I avoided swimming as the idea of standing on a smashed wine glass is horrendous) Cleaning in the room was poor at the start but improved in the second half of the week Food service - utter chaos at every time of day! Queues for food, cutlery and plates a regular thing that said the bar service in the restaurant was good fast service and decent wine, beer tinto verano and soft drinks Finally the noise, I’m deaf on one side and can struggle but I know that’s my problem not someone else’s however the bar area and the restaurant were so noisy I got daily warnings from my watch about noise exposure. Our group found this to be uncomfortable and one day the restaurant peaked at 109 dB ( think H & S and staff would be wearing ear defenders if exposed for any length of time) and this was without music etc, the bar was far worse when the entertainment started so we escaped the the front bar (which was closed )where it was marginally better the front terrace was the same unfortunately. In summary - 4 star - nope think 2 star + Food - absolutely fine Service - poor I got a feeling that staff have reached the end of season and need a rest of aren’t interested. In fairness the hotel felt very busy for the end of season and it felt like there weren’t enough staff there to manage things properly - that’s on the management not them Location - absolutely fine Facilities - ok but not close to 4 star Overall I think cheap, tatty and a bit downmarket sums it up but it wasn’t especially cheap. Family hotel, with very good accessibility for the disabled. Next to the beach. With very good services and a very nice staff. UP all restaurant waiters, bars and Room Service, Good breakfast, nice food and spacious rooms and apartments. To be happy at all, l'm just missing a shower tray in my bathroom. Thanks for everything.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Best Roquetas. The location right at the beach was perfect and made it so easy to relax. The buffet was excellent, with a different theme every night that kept things fun and delicious. The staff were always friendly and did everything they could to make us feel welcome. For what we got, the price was absolutely fair, and we left with great memories of our holiday.

We were very worried when we read some of the more recent reviews of the hotel as they’d changed a lot since we booked. We needn’t have been concerned. The hotel was spotlessly clean, the kids club was running twice a day and the food (whilst yes very Spanish - we are in Spain!) was plentiful and the kids never struggled to find something to eat. The location was right on the beach )it isn’t sandy though so be warned) and we had a lovely large room overlooking the pool and beach. We stayed for 14 days and everything does repeat after 7 so keep that in mind. There was easy cheap transport into Almeria on the local air conditioned bus which made the trip really pleasant. The airport is 30 minutes away so transfers are a breeze. Had a lovely day out at Oasys mini Hollywood well worth a trip although it’s very hot! Staff were lovely and there’s free table tennis and mini golf for a €10 returnable deposit. Hotel shop was as cheap as anywhere and there was a massive spar down the road. All in all we had a lovely relaxed holiday but don’t come if you’re expecting everything to be in English as it’s not that type of resort.
