Interesting holiday and I’ll start with the positives - Food was fine, anyone who says they can’t get something to eat are being dishonest, there were always a few choices even at the end of service Rooms - we had a sea view which was fine and had a great outlook, a little small and dated in need of some TLC but fine. Bar and drinks - plenty of good quality drinks with premium brands alongside local stuff. Some had a supplement but a lot were part of the all inclusive deal Wi-Fi seemed fine throughout the hotel and a reasonable speed On the downside - Pool area is very small for the size of hotel so you’ll be lined up like kebabs alongside others Pool rules not enforced with beds frequently taken by 08:30 and left for hours contrary to the 30 minute rule the hotel prints on the welcome information also worse was the fact that I regularly saw drunk (fine I’m not a killjoy) adults walking around in the pool with wine glasses ( as a result I avoided swimming as the idea of standing on a smashed wine glass is horrendous) Cleaning in the room was poor at the start but improved in the second half of the week Food service - utter chaos at every time of day! Queues for food, cutlery and plates a regular thing that said the bar service in the restaurant was good fast service and decent wine, beer tinto verano and soft drinks Finally the noise, I’m deaf on one side and can struggle but I know that’s my problem not someone else’s however the bar area and the restaurant were so noisy I got daily warnings from my watch about noise exposure. Our group found this to be uncomfortable and one day the restaurant peaked at 109 dB ( think H & S and staff would be wearing ear defenders if exposed for any length of time) and this was without music etc, the bar was far worse when the entertainment started so we escaped the the front bar (which was closed )where it was marginally better the front terrace was the same unfortunately. In summary - 4 star - nope think 2 star + Food - absolutely fine Service - poor I got a feeling that staff have reached the end of season and need a rest of aren’t interested. In fairness the hotel felt very busy for the end of season and it felt like there weren’t enough staff there to manage things properly - that’s on the management not them Location - absolutely fine Facilities - ok but not close to 4 star Overall I think cheap, tatty and a bit downmarket sums it up but it wasn’t especially cheap.
