The room was very hot, the heating couldn't be turned down, and the air conditioning didn't work.

⭐ We stayed at Hesperia Bilbao for 8 days during a rainy November.
Special thanks to Mdm Itziar Calderón, the Front Office Manager, who was exceptionally professional, helpful, and considerate. She made our stay stress-free and was always ready to assist whenever needed.
Overall, our experience was enriching and satisfying. A couple of suggestions: adding more greenery and diversifying the breakfast menu would make the stay even better. In the future, if the hotel considers a full facelift, it will surely attract more guests.
Keep up the great work, and we look forward to seeing an even better Hesperia Bilbao next time!

The hotel is very old, with very few amenities in the room. The bathroom looks disastrous (I recommend a renovation if you consider yourselves a 4-star hotel). If you plan to go in November, keep in mind that there is no air conditioning in the rooms. It is extremely hot inside. We had to sleep with the window open even though it was 13 degrees outside because it was literally impossible to breathe in the room. I don’t recommend this place to anyone and I definitely won’t be coming back.

I recently stayed at the Hesperia Bilbao. Upon arriving, I realized that I had made the reservation for the wrong date and through a missleading third party website (that poses as the official website). The staff at the hotel were extremely helpful and kind, and helped us resolve our issue. Our stay was pleasant and comfortable. The hotel is also ideally situated in the center of Bilbao, right on the river, and very close to the Guggenheim museum.

Hotel Hesperia Bilbao is a good city hotel — not fancy, but comfortable and with a decent location that makes it easy to explore the city. The reception staff were very welcoming and helpful, which gave a great first impression. The only downside was that the person behind the bar could have been as friendly as the reception team. Overall, a pleasant stay and a solid choice for a city break.

Great location on the river & easy walking distance to everything in Bilbao. Old Town & Guggenheim just 10 minutes away. Staff were very helpful & understood English as my Spanish was not great. My room was spacious, coffee machine fabulous, very quiet & perfect for me. Recommend.

I had a wonderful stay with my family in one of the suite rooms (Room 222). The hotel is excellent: clean, comfortable, and with top-notch service.
The staff were incredibly proactive and attentive throughout our stay. A special mention to the General Manager, whose presence and energy clearly inspire the whole team. She personally recommended a few places for us to visit, which we thoroughly enjoyed.
Although I didn not get a chance to thank her in person during check-out, I would like to express my heartfelt appreciation for the outstanding hospitality. It is evident that the team reflects the strong and positive leadership at the top.

The food is simply delicious! The best paellas in Bilbao.

Excellent food with a very good and cozy ambient. I've been here 4 times and the food was always excellent. The waiters are friendly and warns you when you are ordering more food than people usually eat. It is located near the Ria de Bilbao area and it is very easy to reach by tram.
