Spirit Hotel Gran in Bilbao

The hotel located on a hill that it’s easy to walk down to the old town,but it’s better if you go back by bus.
The gym is well equipped,you can really have a nice workout.

The location is not far from the city but not too far. What I like is that the room is spacious, clean and the breakfast is very good and delicious.

Wonderful welcoming hotel staff. Michaela was really helpful with her recommendations and was charming. The location is very good but please note it is up the hill from the old town, so be ready to walk! However it offers lovely views. Great breakfast with plenty of options. Very comfortable bed, the only reason I did not give the room a 5 is the decor. We have bright orange walls which I found are too bright for the room to feel relaxing. Plus you would really have to like the colour orange! At least we have beautiful views of the river, mountain and the bridge.

I believe this is one of the best hotels in Bilbao. The rooms are big and clean. I reckon most rooms get a view of the Nervion river. The breakfast is varied. The location is great, as you can either walk, drive or take public transport to the city center or to Guggenheim. The service is lovely, with the staff being helpful and polite. Thank you! S.P

We really enjoyed our stay here.
The room was comfortable, if a little spartan, with the most enormous bed we've ever seen! The staff were friendly and diligent and the breakfasts were excellent.

In the evenings we were very impressed that the bar did not charge silly prices.

Criticisms include some sort of light installation in the room that it seemed impossible to turn off at night without removing the key-card from the slot by the door(although it was very dim).

There were also a large number of children staying in this family friendly hotel which was not, in itself, a problem. The walls between rooms, however, seemed a bit thin and it was quite noisy while some of the children in neighbouring rooms were still awake.

The location of the hotel is walking distance from the city centre but be aware, it is on a hill which might be slightly annoying if walking back after a night out.

Excellent hotel, and a very spacious modern room. We travelled with our dog and were a bit worried that our room was in front of an elevator bank (for noise) however considering how busy this hotel is, it’s quite soundproofed so we had no issues. The location is a bit far to the old town, we decided to drive as it was raining and found parking quite easy. The staff is very helpful and friendly and I loved the online check out. Highly recommend!

The rooms are extremely spacious. Only downer was the telephone was not working and considering the room size the was very little storage and places to hang clothing. Just one small cupboard in the corridor.

Also we had two double rooms only one had a dressings table and ours was even missing a bin and sufficient lighting.
Except for that, the stuff was lovely, friendly and kind. The breakfast was amazing. Especially the chef that makes the pancakes.

Stylish hotel and friendly staff. The room was spacious and came with nice touches, shame the bed is a bit hard. Really good placement to get into town. The only downer is the car park - the EV charging is great in theory but incredibly hard to use. They're also not very clear on whether there are spaces available.
